Can't really recommend any Nougat Roms at this time. Too many issues (at least on my device like the camera not working). Probably the top 2 Sense-based roms are Ledroid and Viper. You could try either of those. I can however highly recommend Viper10 V3.5.0. This is a flawless Marshmallow rom. I'm still on it and will be until the Nougat kinks are ironed out. Good luck. Happy flashing.

I don't recommand a Nougat Rom too, i've been taking a "quick" look at it and they are'nt really optimized.
On my HTC 10 (unlocked version) I'm actually on Ledroid's Rom.
Quick launch, smooth interface, very usefull multi task button and so beautiful notification's section.
BUT
My battery is like ice in summer, like i'm 4H SOT and was 5/6+H on marshmallow stock.
Can't connect on snapchat (I don't really care but you care maybe)
I have issues on the automatic luminosity which get super agressive and is buged (don't set up the luminosity while i'm in a dark room, broking my eyes...)
Sorry for my bad english, i'm French ! ^^'
Hope I helped you !

Thanks guys, ill have a play with ledroid and viper. Resurrection remix seems to have few problems aswell

@aceniz Venomrom or leedroid.. If it's aosp then I'd say RR.. But if for stability id stick with sense based.. Strip it of sense and htc apps then use the pixel or vanilla type launchers, this is what I do and it absolutely flies.

Thanks, Ive gone with Leedroid, everything seems to work on it so far. seems to be the most stable. just need to work out a few tweaks with it to get it working ok the way i want and itll be better than RR

cloudyg3 or cyanidel rom?

so i was using stock kitkat rom for almost a year now. yes i havent updated to lollipop cause i was rooted.
and now im planning to install a custom rom, because stock rom are not as smooth as they were as they first were.
and im looking for a change, lollipop roms preferably.
so which roms suits me the most, cloudy or cyanidel rom? the important thing of course is battery life and performance.
thank you!
Cloudy all the way may have to do a few tweaks to get to your liking on top of xcam for replacent for stock app i flash all kinds of roms and crap and always come back to cloudy xposed works pretty good there are a few modules i have probs with but no major deal breakers
---------- Post added at 11:53 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:51 AM ----------
My opinion of coarse i like almost all the roms out for g3 multi varients all of them have there own special quirks i like
Cloudy is based on stock so you have all the advantages of the stock rom like:
-Camera driver
-Good battery life
-Stability
And for cyanide, its based on cyanogenmod, the adventages are:
-Smooth like butter
-Features
The choice is up to you depending of what you really want. Personally I'd go with a stock based rom because of the camera driver and the stability, I add xposed and I can have a lot of features.
But you can try one, do a nandroid backup, try the other and go back if you don't like it!
okay i think im gonna go for cloudy since i actually prefer stock feelings too.
one more question, can cloudy use lgg3tweakbox, Xinsta, Xstana using xposed without no problem?
some people says lg g3 on lollipop cant use some modules for e.g lgg3tweakbox
I use grav box tweekbox major one that dont work for me is advanced power menu
When u setup cloudy make sure u click in aroma installer to use exposed also you havento manually install the framework after u flash framwork zip youll thing u bootlooped but first boot after exposed takes a couple on min

I tried the following roms for the LG G3:
crDROID (AOSP Based Rom - Android 5.1.1)
Cloudy3G 2.5 (Stock based Rom - Android 5.0.X)
Fulmics 1.6 (Stock based Rom - Android 5.0.X)
My opinion:
crDroid : It was the smoothest rom I've tried until now but the I was disappointed by the battery life. The camera app is not the same as the stock rom camera app so the pictures quality is inferior.
Cloudy3G 2.5 : It was laggy for me, and it has a few bugs like the UI crashing when the phone is charging. The GPS has bugs as well. Cloudy is not being developed anymore.
Fulmics 1.6 : For now is the best stock based rom I've tried. It's smooth and it's always based on the latest updated stock rom from LG. Even better, the updates are via OTA so it's faster to update to the latest version of this custom rom.
Been really enjoying cloudy and I am super picky. I think you will be impressed, the developer did a really good job. Its working better than stock for me and feels quick no lag here.
Sent from my LGLS990 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
For me, Fulmics ROM is better than Cloudy. Its much smoothier and I had gps problems on Cloudy.
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
so cloudy has gps problems? i used gps a lot that could be a problem for me.
i never check fulmics before.
what about cyanidel? no one mentions cyanidel?
so i switc hed to fulmics 2.0 just updated 2.1 and i love it smoother than cloudy and about the same battery life

I think it's because not a lot of people right now has been using cyanide (no updates since forever) and rr and bliss pop has taken the cm based limelight
Cloudy is okay but have some issues that will make you wanna flash another rom
Fulmics is much better but personally i've been losing data connectivity every once in a while.
Maybe try old timers like Lion, Chup Chups or Spartaxxx if you want stock
Or you can always try the cm based ones... like cyanide

No Sense ROM, Working Custom ROM , GPE ROM

Hi folks,
i hope there aren't so much threads around similar to this.
But as you see in the title I'm looking for a custom ROM for HTC M9.
Background is that i consider buying one but i'd like to make sure first that it is possible to flash a stable and supporting custom rom like CM13 or LeeDroid to it.
But as far as i figured out by scrolling throug this forum there isn't a rom available which supports all functions of this device, is that correct?
CM13 is not supporting the camera(s) and a few other things, but no support for the camers is actually a show stopper anyway.
I was not able to find out what LeeDroid is not supporting at the moment, but i'm quite sure it has also a few bugs...
Can someone suggest a stable rom for a daily usage, or can i forget it and do i need to consider using it with the "stock" rom and its bloatware?
My desire would be, having a CM13 or a customized ROM which is alike to it as a compromise. The most i'd like to have a cleaned rom without such performance killers like Sense...
Anyone?
Im using candysix that is based of Aosp with several good features. Id recommend both candysix and leedroid.

Thanks for your reply. I flashed LeeDroid on my One i got yesterday. First impression is nice.
Do you have some experience with it?
Any advice how to setup "Auto Unlock" with a 6 digit Pin ? =)
With a 4 Digit pin it unlocks right if the correct pin is entered, but this wont work with a 6 digit pin. I tried with Xposed Modules "Sense toolkit" and "Gravity Box" but no luck so far. =)

What ROM are you using and why?

I bought this phone and it's really great, I have nothing to complain about it....it's really too perfect
but....I was used to flash all the day, try stuff ecc....things are getting boring, my addiction is healing
I'm a stock guy because I feel stock rom+kernel performance more reliable and consistent, but maybe your experience could inspire me, and maybe others to try different things
Show your stuff!!
Thank you
For AOSP, best setup worked for me was ResurrectionRemix + mini gapps + tabp0le kernel coming with the rom, however in the last builds i got some performance issues are reverted back to sense based ROM. many people say Dirty Unicorns + Nebula kernel is a killer setup. but i didn't really like it because it didn't have pixel launcher and i don't know how to setup it tbh.
the best sense based ROM setup for me is Stock ROM + ElementalX + PnP mod by ivicask on balanced. i am using LeeDroid now + Stock kernel and sometimes i experience some lag not sure why but after a reboot it works perfectly. will try it with custom kernel.
trying ROMs on HTC 10 is good because most if not all of them work perfectly with phone and all of the issues you may face can be solved. just try many roms and see what's perfect for you.
here a sheet i made with all custom roms available for the 10
here
ICE and Leedroid to me feel more stable than stock ROMs on other phones. The 10 is extremely stable
Viper10
It's the most popular HTC ROM on XDA for a reason.
You can stay as close to stock as you want, tons of customization options if you want that instead, timely updates, and a strong community on the thread to help with any issues you may have.

Leedroid and ICE do not use stock kernel, they're including cleanSlate kernel with their builds (I think for mod reasons), so performance/stability issues should not be ROM faults IMO....Thank you anyway, I was thinking about trying ICE, it was my daily driver on M8, I'm just not sure about the kernel

yes.....viper10.....you know, I always had this feeling.....the more mods you include, more the rom will be potentially unstable....and viper has damn tons of mods
The curious thing about viper ROM is that everytime I try it, it's damn smooth. don't know why. but again, it doesn't feel stable....I will try it anyway
thank you anyone
I use lineage os, I like frequent updates, I like the fact that's it's a WIP. It is good and gets better by the week. I like that is very up to date.

the lag i get is in notification panel and i am pretty sure it's not a kernel thing because other than that the ROM is so smooth with 5hours SOT battery. i never tried ICE maybe i'll give it a try this week.
I use lineage, I only switched off stock because they were not releasing a security patch update every month, nor upgrading to the most recent version of android. I like keeping everything updated and its frustrating that you have to wait for them to do it rather than just getting it from google.
I used to be a flashing guy, the htc 10 maked me stop flashing by now, I gonna wait for U11 ports, I think stock rom is stable and wonderful.

Totally agree. Thankfully HTC 10 has massive support in terms of AOSP ROMS. I recommend you to try crDroid. It's so clean and simple with perfect performance and battery life
Resurrection remix with the custom kernel that comes with the ROM. I've tried mostly everything as my DD but I always come back to AOSP. I've tried lineage but it started to stutter.
Edit- I'm back on lineage and it's amazing.

Best custom Rom?

Hi all,
Thinking of dipping my toe in the water with a custom rom. I'm still on stock H815v20L or something and whilst P is apparently being released I thought I'd check out the alternatives.. Unless P is out, rootable and stable?
Any recommendations for a custom Rom with Nougat 7.1+ pkease?
Any to avoid?
Cheers,
H

I think there is only 3 Nougat roms which are LinageOS/AOSP based which are being activily developed for LG g4. Resurrection Remix, Linage OS and Dirty Unicorns. I personaly use Resurrection Remix, more stable build for my taste for stable daily driver, DU probably also pretty stable but Linage OS releases are pretty much nightlys.
Only thing with these roms that camera performance is pretty bad to stock, doesnt matter what camera application you use. You can get pretty decent pictures with really good sun/day light and maybe small color editing but the noise and grain from like google camera is terrible in darker photos.
Nougat actually doesnt bring anything new for me, I personaly flashed RR and got theme engine on to get different settings menu cuz I hate the blue theme on lg stock.
If you got TWRP and unlocked bootloader , just flash and try
I use LineageOS on a daily use since mid May. I prefer not to update the ROM every week but every month.
So far, LOS is very stable. I change the camera for the Google Camera and works properly for now.
But as Diddymies says, flash and try

Smooth Rom

Hello, i had the pixel eperience rom since 2 or 3 month, but i am studying now and i don't like the lack of smooth/ laggy in the prixel experience rom.
I use my phone only for web browsing, spotify youtube vanced, gps, gcam, messenger...but each app take a lote of time to start and this is not good,.my phone is rooter with magisk and it is realy good to have adaway ...
Which rom do you advice for a guy like me, i don t play game, i want the smoothest rom, i don t care about android version, if i have to downgrade my phone on android 6 marshmallow, no probleme for me and if for your the best is oxygen os, i will return, sory my english is not very good
Of curse I used to changed in pixel eperience 2 month ago because i found oreo and pie oxygyn os stock rom « laggy»
If the thread is not in the right oneplus 3 forum place, thank you to advice me where can i put this thread.
Thank, from Belgium
Anyone can not share his experience or send me somehere with the same ask?
I would say OOS9.0.5 is rock solid when it comes to stability when paired with custom kernel.
I was using it since it released with HDK kernel & never faced any issues.
But if you are into more features & customizations, give it a try to xtended or havoc. Both are pretty stable.
I recently switched to Havoc as I was missing few features on OOS.
Try OOS9 without any kernel
Seems to work pretty well

Thank you, i think i will try havoc because i used oos 9 since the begining of android 9, but the life battery was realy short and the ui laggy.
I heard here or on another websites skydragon and resurection remix are realy good roms ? Is it true from your experience?

Haven't tried RR pie, so I can't comment. But have used skydragon rom & it is also smooth. Waiting for update on skydragon. Till then will stick to havoc.
Hope that helps.

I am doing a backup of the application via titanium backup and my rom via the recovery in case it is fail somewhere, then I will install havoc and even what it is worth, the concern oxygen os and piexel experience ,is that the baterie is catastophic, not very fluid and I very often lose the wifi 5 ghz so obliged to fall back on the 2.4 ghz
