You need type C OTA (Type C male to A female) adapter to make it work.
JBL USB pebble: failed (doesn't turn on)
Logitech V30 (shown in picture): work

Yes, The microUSB port at the bottom is used for both data connections and charging. Not only does it support USB host but it also comes with MHL enabling HDTV-out connectivity with the proper adapter.
MHL is a way of using both microUSB and HDMI through the same port. The downside is you need an adapter to use a regular HDMI cable with this one.

I've tried it several times in my car with my radio that has a usb and aux port. It will not play without the special dock attachment in the usb port but I have no way of knowing if a usb to aux cable would work because I do not have one to try.
I will be constructing and selling around 10 of these cables (Micro USB to audio out+charging). Please email me or PM me on [email protected] if interested.

I made one following the instructions on one of the threads, and although it is detected as a docking cable and the system claims to route the audio through it (the steering wheel logo appears in the status bar and I get a message "car audio dock detected"), it still plays through the internal speaker. I'm having the problem with Cyanogenmod 9 and now 10. I never tried with the stock ROM, I'm assuming it works...
Hello everybody, i just received a usb type-c to female usb adapter (made by Victsing®) from amazon on this link amazon.fr/VicTsing-Adapteur-Convertisseur-Chromebook-appareils/dp/B017I8A40CUnfortunately it is not working on my oneplus 2. I plugged a mouse, xbox 360 controller, usb pen drive and it didn't even turned on. No lights, nothing...
Is there any tweak or app to instal to make it work? My opt is rooted and xposed is installed.
Thanks in advance!

after looking through many forums, it seems that the issue is that OnePlus has used a slightly different setup with a 2.0 usb type-c connector so it doesn't work with anything other than their first party connectors. I have tried to connect a kingston data traveler microduo 3c and it isn't recognised either
So the issue is a hardware problem i guess, only solution is to buy their usb type c to micro usb adapted and then plug OTG cable?
So there will be no software fix...
Where do we find this orignal convertor

It may be possible for them to provide an update that creates a workaround to the problem however that does not seem very likely, i guess we just have to wait and see

the original converter would be on the oneplus site or i have heard they are also available on Ali Express
So not in India yet i guess
Hmm... I have the original OTG cable from oneplus, 2 other OTG cable ( 1 is USB 2 and the other works both with USB2 and USB3 with power up mass storage) and none of them work for my OPT.... HOWEVER they work for my OPO.... fking oneplus....
Thank you for your responses.
Hope that android MM or CM will give a solution!
i asked the oneplus official, they said ONLY THEIR OTG adapter can work with OPT...
and what's worse, they are currently out of stock of this stupid adapter! They told me to visit offline shops. oh are you kidding?
well that sucks. I was planning to buy a OPT but decided not to. they decided to leave quick charge/turbo charge alone and made some modifications on their port so only their product would work. what about the countries where it's hard to ship a product. damn this is lame
I bought a third-party USB-C to Micro-USB adaptor from Amazon that works with Micro-USB OTG drives and my old Micro-USB OTG cable with a USB mouse & USB memory sticks.

Thanks for reply I'll try this method.
Anyway I bought an OTG adapter (uUSB) and an uUSB-TypeC adapter (Xiaomi) and it works! (seems the problem is type C otg are always 3.0 op2 does not support USB 3.0 standard)
Mmm tbh I only use my USB stick and that always seems to work okay. USB C is just future proofing got to wait for rest to catch up now.
There was nothing said about what's going to be included besides the headphone adapter but I'm curious if the newer model will have the USB A to USB C adapter like last year's model.

Why those cables specifically?
according to this site, they list the contents of the box as:
The smartphone.
USB-C charger.
USB-C to 3.5mm earphone adapter.
User guide.
Power adapter.
edit: likely a copy paste from the official google site... scroll down almost to the bottom of the screen look for "whats in the box"
https://store.google.com/product/pixel_2_specs
also dont forget to checkout benson leung's reviews to see which cable/charger will charge your phone and not blow it up.. https://plus.google.com/+BensonLeung
nathan k has a google spreadsheet.. check it out also

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_...tronics&field-keywords=USB-IF+Certified+cable

Hey guys,
Has anyone figured out any way of achieving this yet? I have seen USB C to 3.5mm and USB C female. However, I really want to listen using the included dongle. I am yet to find a USB C male to twin USB C female.
Has anyone had any joy?
Cheers.

Because the one that comes with the phone sounds nice + spending £40+ on a splitter when all I need is the wiring side seems rather wasteful.
I like your style on the adapter front but like you I don't hold much hope that it'd work.
Try one of these..YMMV.
