Stuck in TWRP. Can't boot to LineageOS. - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Guys, here's my problem:
I tried to install LineageOS and GApps, everything went fine. Before that I wiped System/data/cache/dalvik, kept internal storage (cause I don't have any SD cards) But then I tried to boot to system, and it just boots to HTC logo and back to TWRP. But now TWRP asks me about decryption, and there are none backups/ROMs in internal storage for some reason (I didn't wipe it)
So, what can I do now? How can I place ROM/Backup on my phone?
Thank you in advance.

To get a rom back on your phone, you're gonna need to use the adb sideload whilst in twrp.

[Q] Need Help to Unbrick Phone

Hey all,
Recently I tried to format my sd card from my phone to create extra space, as it was getting clogged up. I pressed unmount, expecting to mount it again as the format option was greyed out. However, I was unable to get it mounted again (ie my phone no longer recognises a sd card is inserted).
I tried to perform a factory rest to get my phone back to the settings it should have once had. However it didn't manage to do this properly and now its stuck at the htc logo screen. Formating or partitioning the sd card didnt do a thing.
I can get into the bootloader, and it was rooted beforehand. I was running the official Miui ROM. Now I am unable to start my phone normally, nor get into access my sd card.
Unfortunetly, I have had my phone for quiet a long time now so I doubt the warranty is still valid. I need help urgently.
Thanks in advance.
Try clearing cache and data and then install a new rom for example Jellytime r26.2.
if it dont work the first time try one more time. I had the same issue ones and had to install the rom twice before it worked.

Are you S-OFF? Can you get into recovery? through the bootloader? If so, just flash a new ROM through recovery.
How did you try to do a factory reset? If you can get into the bootloader, go to recovery if you have it. Then see if the sdcard is being recognized or not. If it is getting recognized, put the zip of any ROM on it and flash it after wiping like the guy above me said.
Post what your bootloader screen says here. Your phone is far from being bricked as far as I know.
RESOLVED
I've managed to resolve this issue. For the benefit of others I will explain what I did.
1)I went into fastboot mode and connected my phone to my pc (running windows 7). Using cmd I reflashed the recovery image.
2)Went into recovery and installed a custom ROM.
I hope this helps you as it really saved my life.
P.S Cheers for all the help guys, you've been amazing!

I formated and wiped all the data i could from the phone itself and the from recovery. Lucky you were right about me being far away from bricking it completely.
Since I firstly unmounted my sd card from my phone settings, it didnt get recognised at all. I couldnt mount it again. So i formatted it with windows, then in recovery made a backup image despite the phone being stuck in bootloop. That allowed me to finally access my sd card for some reason.
Then as you all suggested, i just needed to reflash everything, including recovery using fastboot.
Bit of a strange scenario really
Lesson learned ? :
1.) If youre going to start from scratch then start in Recovery;
2.) wipe all partitions (twice)
3.) enable USB drive and transfer new ROM to SD Root
4.) flash new ROM

unable to mount /data

Hi all,
Let me start with the fact that I did something really stupid, I formated the storage in TWRP (version 2.8.0), instead of just wiping the dalvik, data and other. After that I installed the custom ROM, however the tablet would not boot, it stays at the boot animation. If I go to the TWRP, I see that the internatl storage is 0MB and it says it cannot mount \data and other files.
I tried installed other ROM as well but same thing.
Tablet is rooted.
Help me please to recover the tablet (P600)!!

Load the rom on an external sdcard, and flash from there. I usually wipe everything when flashing a new rom except for the external sd card. If that doesn't work, try booting into the odin download mode and reflash to stock firmware via ODIN. Then try flashing again.

Bricked HTC 10

Okay so I have been using viper ROM for ages now and got bored so decided to try cyanogenmod. Made a backup in twrp on my external SD card. Flashed resurrection remix, tested it. All went well. Then flashed gapps. Forgot to wipe, then got stuck in a bootloop where it would make me decrypt the phone with my lock code every boot and then it would be continuously stuck on optimizing apps, rebooting then asking for decryption again.
So I restored my back up thinking it would fix it. But it did not fix the issue. Now my HTC 10 is saying your data is corrupt even though pin was successful I need to factory reset. But now twrp will not mount internal SD card so therefor being stuck in a loop of this. It says 0mb on external SD. And I know that's because of the encrpytion but how do I fix this some one please help I'm stuck.

You need to format data in twrp to get rid of the encryption.
TWRP->Wipe->Format Data
I have tried formatting but it won't mount the internal SD card whatsoever, even after unlocking the encrpytion in twrp... Possible dead internal?
I think you might just wiping data/factory reset.. "wipe data" is different from "format data". You must format data.. don't swipe. Tap the format data button

..formatting data kills the encryption...so if you do it right, twrp will be able to mount the internal again and also be able to boot up without the encryption screen.
As said already, you probably just wiped the /data partition....you need to format that. thats an extra button in twrp->wipe
I have tried everything possible in twrp :/
Okay it worked sorry my bad thank you so much guys!!

Guys Please help. Unable To Mount... error. Tried everythng. Video given.

I have watched a lot of tutorials but nothing is working please someone help
I made a video of the problem and what I tried. Can anyone understand what happened
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaN-y-Worlg
Update: In Data i Changed the file system and went back to original. Didn't work.
I even wiped system. But i guess the only problem is to fix the "data". Since it shows 0 Mb size. But i can't find any way or guide. The ones i did find are too advanced and use cmd commands and toolkits which i don't think an inexperienced user like me should be following.
Some background information: i attempted to install Open gApps and enable Camera2 API. I Entered "read only" mode.
The adb shell commands for enabling it wasn't working (some "proprietary" something shown )
So I tried another method. I downloaded the latest Magisk and flashed it. Then i tried gApps. I don't remember when i started to think what went wrong but yeah..
I found this and I think it may be related.
But I don't understand it properly.
And its and Old post for some other Recovery

Oh yeah didn't do it in the video.. But yeah no good.
Crap, sorry to hear it, hopefully someone better than me chimes in. Good luck!
Why did you wipe internal storage? And what are you trying to mount. If you are trying to install a new rom all you need to wipe is cache, dalvik, system and data. Wiping internal storage removes everything from the internal SD card and if you do this then you have no OS.

At this point i can't care less about the data in internal storage. I just need to flash the official MIUI ROM back, enable Camera2 API and live in peace. At this moment I'm halfway through downloading the ROM but I'm not sure if i can flash it due to the Mount Issue of internal storage. I plan on transferring it to my micro SD card and flashing it from there to System Image. Will it work? And Internal Storage formatting failed in case you didn't notice. Practically nothing worked except the file system change of "data". And even that didn't fix the unable to Mount issue.

Hevent tried redwolf recover. Just Fastboot flashed the ROM on intuition. And it Worked!!

And i f****d my moto z2 play again but not so badly

Hello, some time ago i posted something about my bricked phone, i did it again but not so badly.
So basically i tried to flash a GSI, and i kind of succeeded, the Phone starts and it asks me to put the password to start android, when i put it works but it says that the password i put was correct but the data was corrupt, i can go to TWRP and go in the files of an SD Card i have but, i cannot put anything in my internal storage via pc but luckily i have a chromebook, it also doesn't transfer to the internal storage, i tried to connect to my pc multiple times but it didn't work, so i want to know if i can re-install the Stock Rom via sd card with the help of my chromebook (it has 4gb)
If you are coming from Stock to GSI, you may encounter this encryption problem. The easiest way is to flash stock recovery after flashing GSI. Then boot, and when it asks you to enter password, and it fails, it tells you to reboot and the stock recovery will format your internal storage (TWRP can't).
If you want to get back to stock, just flash some stock firmware in fastboot (wiping data)
TWRP actually CAN format encrypted storage. It justs happens it won't work at the first try. You have to format two to three times, and on each format you need to reboot to TWRP until you format again and the red letters (errors) stops appearing. I do this all the time with 64-bit Treble TWRP and has never failed after doing this process.
