Currently, Ventriloid and Mangler are non functional for the Android JB firmware. Although the Ventriloid dev has posted a temp fix in the app description, it crashes alot and will not serve much use for me. Is it possible for someone to post a fixed app or a way to access vent on JB?

Ventriloid dev here. What issues are you having with the test version on the site? I just finished up my semester at school and will hopefully have an official release out by January, but I need some help testing.
Ventrilo for JB not working?

Just wanted to jump in and mention that I am having issues too. Samsung SII, cm10. When I start ventriloid is initially says connecting, but then very often goes back to mobile's home screen. It then leaves a notification bar entry saying that it is connected. When you click on that, it does its two vibrates and goes off entirely. Sometimes I can get it going again, but is very fiddly. Dont know if this helps. Hope so.

Hey LondonLad, thanks for the report.
Are you using the Play Store version of the app or the Alpha on my Google Code?

Go try out the Alpha at ventriloid.googlecode.com in the downloads section and let me know how it works for you. I apologize for any lack of features in that version but it's a huge work in progress.

Have downloaded and it seems to work well. (Did loose the Ventriloid icon though!) One comment: One must tick the box Enable Global Push to Talk in order to see key. That is fine, but it does cover up part of you keyboard if you, for example, need to type in a password for a channel. Not a problem, but thought I would at least mention it.).:good:

I'm glad it's working for you I'm working on a complete UI overhaul and that global push to talk was more or less a proof of concept for being able to talk outside of the app. Android has limitations for hardware key interception that won't allow push to talk while the app is in the background, so hopefully people will enjoy this new button. It will eventually be a bar with other options that can be hidden. Thanks so much for testing, I'm glad the ICS/JB fix is working.

hi
I,ve just replaced a nexus7 2013 after i hit the multitouch problem, everything was fine with it whilst it was running build JWR66N,but then i got a notification to update to the latest version.
I was reluctant to do so,but eventually decided to take the plunge,so i updated,it put build JSS15Q on my nexus...result was terrible multitouch issues, basically the update had inflicted my "working perfectly tablet" with the dreaded multitouch issue, needless to say i was gutted.
My new nexus again comes with the JWR66N build,my question is,can i stop the tablet auto downloading the new update(JSS15Q),i know i don't actually have to install it,but i was told that if i power of my nexus,it will automatically install the update when i reboot,is this true?
Don't want to go anywhere near that JSS15Q update,or any future updates at all if possible.
To be honest,i'm not that interested in having bleeding edge versions,if my nexus works flawlessly on the JWR66N build then i could'nt care less if i never updated ever again,if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
You should look at the two posts in my signature. They will cover everything you need.
BTW the update won't automatically install when you reboot. You can also turn off the notification in the framework services configuration.

Okay, thanks Sfhub, can I just ask though,I have the jss15q update sitting in my notification panel, until I specifically allow it,will it just stay there,I mean, will it at some point install itself without any action by me.
What happens if I reboot, will that instigate the update process.
As long as I'M in control of when it gets installed I'm happy,I know it fixes the GPS issue, but I literally never use GPS,so I'm not bothered about fixing that.
Would really really appreciate some help on this, cheers pal

Correct
settings->apps->all->google services framework
uncheck show notifications
if you get tired of the notification (it'll probably get rid of other Google notifications also)

This shouldn't happen, though you might hit the notification by accident then panic and ask it to continue.

The one feature I am waiting for is to compile my own list of canned answers, in the order that I want. And how about keyboard support (just release an API and let developers build keyboards) instead of the stupid OK Google feature which I never use and is not nearly as reliable as it should.

THIS.
Been so long I almost forgot about it.
Although with the last update, they did make the notification pictures for group hangouts bigger, but not higher quality.
Dumb question, but does my phone need to be upgraded to Android 5.0 for the watch to be upgraded? Not that there is an update for my Note 4, but I may have to hold out because of one specific application I use regularly that I don't suspect will update right away for Lollipop.
I'd update for the battery life.

This is not a problem with the Moto 360, rather with Google in general and the way they treat contacts. Google apps default to a 96x96 photo. On your phone you can set a specific photo per contact up to 720x720 (assuming you have Android 4.1+) but that doesn't fix the underlying issue, and the contact photos don't persist to gmail or from Google+. This is a really annoying situation to me, as I like to set everyone's contact photo myself, and then Google overrides it with a 96x96 of the person's Google+ photo if that exists. I don't want the person's Google+ photo, much less a 96x96 of it.

its like any stock android device . all get the updates in the same time frame . not like OEM updates .
I'm running 5.0 on my s4
And I can already access the new features mentioned in the article. Being able to hide the top notification is actually really awesome, without disabling notifications on my watch I can see the entire watch-face. Very cool. The only thing that really bothers me now is that the words "ok google" are on the screen whenever I wake my 360 up for about 3-5 seconds. It's pretty intrusive and doesn't look good on a lot of my watchfaces. I'll post photos if anyone is interested.
I believe you are looking at the update they did a week or two ago, 4.4w.2, where the enabled being able to swipe down the bottom notification without dismissing it. I think the 'ok google' thing will go away, maybe with use I'm not sure, but mine isn't doing it at this moment and it was shortly after this last update.
So after much waiting, Google has finally released youtube with Material Design. Below you will find screenshots and download link.

I guess YouTube doesn't like the Note 4. A few threads on it in the general and Q&A section. Think like 10 steps to get it to work. LoL. Guess we need to ***** to them.

Most of Lollipops changes and design is a good refresh from what KitKat offered. Most of you may dislike it at first but personally, I'm finally glad to see changes from the old 4.0.

It's something that was being developed months ago, it makes your device search for devices in the background periodically for potentially COVID-19 infected people.
If someone is infected, they have to report it on their phone and it flags other users around if you're near someone who had/has COVID-19 or not.
It uses Bluetooth

its a framework, it needs an app to work with it to be of any use . without the app from your local country etc it does nothing.

Its a framework. That means, apps sit on top on the frame ... like building a house, you need a base ( frame ) . This " Base" lets others build whatever house they want on top ... the actual "base" does nothing, how do I know... its a framework. if you are so paranoid, stop all you're google, amazon frameworks and see what happens, spoilers, your phone won't work. Next, stop all the frameworks in windows if you use that .. spoilers, it won't work ....then put everything into a box and leave it there
