Hi, I broke a piece of the SIM tray, I can get the chip to the nexus 5x but I do not recognize it, this is because it damaged the tray or because it is a device problem?
PS: before removing the SIM tray I worked perfect but when I enter the broken tray I do not recognize it.
And I told myself that the chip works on another device and works perfectly

Found it using Google: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sim-Tray-Go...orte-Bandeja-ORIGINA-H790-Negro-/181944207654
If you damaged the pins with the broken tray, a new one won't help you. Order a SIM tray and try your luck!
Not the pins did not break because I did not put another tray to the nexus, if not what I did is remove the tray from the nexus and put it to another cell and there broke the tray, from that moment I do not read the sim.
Now I'm going to buy a SIM tray and have it

I know this seems a little random, but in an attempt to remove her SD Card, my mother bent a couple of the pins... Not terribly bad or anything, but enough that it's not recognizing the SD card at the moment.
Would it be possible for someone to take a picture of their SD card slot WITHOUT a card in it? I need to see if/which pin is bent (apparently some phones have a bent pin on purpose, and some don't...)
I'd be very grateful for anyone who took the 5 minutes out of their day to do this for me.
Thanks again!
Tomorrow i will post this photo for you with extra macro setup

This is an FYI. I finally caved and cut my microsim from 2001. It's a 32K SIM from AT&T Blue (looks like this)

I placed this SIM in an i747 and it is reporting "NO SIM INSERTED". I was hoping at the very least for an unlock prompt.
To check that I didn't damage my SIM, I placed it in an adapter and put it in my old phone. It still works.
Update: After trimming I got the card to work.
Make sure that there is NO PLASTIC along the bottom / long edge of the microSIM. Otherwise the contacts won't line up.
Dude, just go to a corporate att store and they will give you one. Free (typically).
Thanks, but these chips aren't exactly sold anymore. It was worth the trouble; been out of contract for a decade for a reason.
Hello.
About a month ago suddenly my service connection dissapeared.

The Phone reads the sim card and sees it (I don't have the "insert sim card" issue) but it's always searching a service/connection without finding it.
It gives me an Error in finding a network
I thought its the sim card or something and I put the sim card in another phone and it worked (so the problem is in the phone itself).
I've tried to fix it in a many different ways and i didn't succeeded. i went into a store that could fix it. The phone was there for two weeks
and they couldn't fix it! I went to another store and without checking they talled me that this is a cpu problem (I doubt about it) and it cant be fixed.
PLEASE HELP
YOURE THE ONLY HOPE NOW!!!
thanks to all!
Good evening everyone, few minutes ago this icon appeared on my status bar. It looks like a SIM card with a lock. I tried to google (possibly not enough) but I got no results that could help me. If anyone knows what it is, let me know please. If possible, also how to get rid of it.
Thank you for your time and help!
Regards;

Looks like an incomplete task, leaving a residual notification
Try booting into safe mode and see if or what's causing it. Another probably extreme method would be to disable it in U I tuner app...

Are you on Roaming ? it cud be like you are connected to Service provider but that service provider is Forbidden/not ready to provide to service.
Try checking the option Sim card with PUK lock , is that turned on somehow ?
try switching the Sim if any spare available.
PROBLEM:
Purchased new sim card with Mint Mobile for Google Pixel 3. Phone is not recognizing SIM card.
DETAILS:
Phone is compatible, sim is functioning and active.
Bought phone on Ebay. Seller said it is unlocked. IMEI Check came back inconclusive though.
Sim Status: Not Available.
Phone number: Unknown.
Phone did not come with SIM Tray. Purchased google Pixel 3 XL sim tray online. Seems to fit right into slot.
Double checked sim was inserted on correct side. Reset network settings + Factory reset phone.
Sim works fine in Razer 2 Phone.
SIM option greyed out in Network Settings.
QUESTION: Does anyone have any troubleshooting solutions? I would like to switch to this phone and I need the phone to recognize the SIM card.
