Anyone have it, is TW going to send update?
not yet. I've searched in the last 2 weeks but nothing shows up yet.
Waiting is the best solution
I think buiterfly3 still have to wait HTC a9 other carriers finished upgrade to nougat.
Or maybe HTC butterfly 3 won't get any upgrade form HTC forever
I found this link with nougat 7.0 but I don't like how it starts with xda.
This kink claims to have nougat 7.1.1.
Any thoughts?
The second one maybe. The first one looks kinda shady
since htc 10evo(bolt) has similar specs,is it possible to port a nougat rom from it?

Bros,
All I heard so far is the Froyo update will roll out in Europe this weekend. So how about Asia/Singapore area? Is there anyone here from Singapore? and any news about it?
My phone is not lock, will I get the OTA update?
Hope to hear from you guys.
Still undisclosed
I tried contacting HTC regarding this a few days ago, you can read their reply here:
www[dot]jatyap[dot]com/2010/08/froyo-release-date-for-htc-desire-in-asia-still-undisclosed/
Sorry I can't post links yet...
SEA have yet to receive an OTA update (1.21.xxx.x) that Europe received prior to this 2.2 update...not sure if hTC will release it all at once, but i'm afraid that it will take some time before SEA receive the 2.2 OTA...but i do hope i'm wrong...
I think the SEA codes are
1.19.707.7 and 8
Sorry, misread your post.
However, most Desire users currently already run Eclair (Android 2.1 update 1).
I think this was the latest release prior to FroYo.
Are you talking about the build numbers?
1.21.x.x - Europe
1.19.707.x - Asia
is what I read... There are a few other numbers if you care to look them up.
You can do a manual update if you like. I did last night and took me 1.5 hrs. It doesn't require a genius to do it.
There's another thread, I just followed it and now enjoys froyo.

flightposite, where are you located? Is this possible without rooting the phone? Can you give us the location of that thread?
I'm located in Simei.
Go to below and follow the instructions.

I may sound dumb, but I have no idea if It's rooted or not. I got my phone one month ago and have no background whatsoever.
But hey, at least I'm smart enough to follow the instructions and upgrade to froyo. : -)

yup, that that's the number i'm talking about...
IIRC, europe devices receive an update before 2.2 update...this update includes an updated radio which is required for the 2.2 update, but SEA has yet to receive this update, thus making me feel that the 2.2 update for SEA will take some time...
honestly i feel like flashing the 2.2 update using the methods described in xda, if it doesnt arrive anytime soon...
i would suggest you go ahead and do the manual flashing of the ROM and updating if you can stomach the Goldcard creation. Its considerably complicated and enough things can go wrong for the risk to be there.
I believe the official update for asia is at least one month away. In europe even the operator-locked handsets will take a couple of weeks to get their 2.2
I did mine and took less than 2 hours.
It isnt rooted at all. Just using a different original HTC ROM.

any idea if we will lose the warranty or something?
I once asked a personnel from Starhub, he said it will be void.

are we able to flash back to the Asia ROM when froyo is made available for Asia ROM to get back the warranty? I don't think HTC will know about it.
Stan79 : htc will know about it. Happened to a friend who is using the nexus one. He had to send a few e-mails and make 2 trips down to the service centre in harbour front to get it sorted. Oh by the way the service centre sucks big time. I have been there twice and have been trading e-mails with them for the last 2 months to get my phone sorted out. Till now i still have a buggered phone.
latest news from HTC Malaysia's facebook:
Froyo for asia will be coming late Q3. Sept maybe?

I like how HTC is an asian company and the users in asia are always one of the last to get any updates. Happen when i was using the touch pro 2 as well, waited forever for wm6.5 update.
HTC sucks big time when it comes to support

Can anyone please tell me what the diffrence between branded and unbranded htc desire?
Why update late for branded htc compare to unbranded htc?
I asked three UK customer services when the 1.28 update was due to get sent out they said never as they are working on the next update. No clue as to when though and what it addresses. Still stuck on 1.26. Wishing I was unbranded.
I hope they will be able to correct flickering by FW or at least say they will to give hope to potential buyers
same here... Three / Sweden
I really believe it should be possible to patch out the flickering with software updates, make the backlight less sensitive or something, even if some users don't experience it at all. Maybe it's got to do with the screen running in 58 hz and not 60
There's always going to be another update on the way...
same here, not updated yet :/ will put custom rom I think

I'm on three Denmark, and I got the 1.28 update as soon as I checked for updates after receiving the phone!? Weird!
Here is the Three UK twitter reply asked on the 19th by a different forum member:
https://twitter.com/#!/ThreeUK/status/193261627230003200
there will always be updates on the way
u dont know HTC i guess...
Right as the only other thread for this update is a "Europe" one, and that HTC obviously thinks the UK is not in Europe, I've started this thread/campaign for comments on this update!
We all know the rest of Europe have got this, so can we please keep this thread UK/Ireland based only!
Come on HTC your UK/Ireland batch of customers are waiting yet again!!!
Please note we are talking about the very latest OTA update here, as per the title of the thread, do not post comments that relate to the earlier update version 1.29.401.7
In other words a post for everyone to say "i've not got the update yet..."

Well in the spirit of being British I will wait patiently and complain. I've not got it yet. Come on HTC Don't make us wait 2 weeks again.

Can't Ireland start their own thread ?
Might be lonely in there

Update 1.29
I got my 1.29 update yesterday afternoon. Doesn't seem to have sorted anything major.
"Phase Beam" live wallpaper still doesn't work. Now, to wait for 1.30.
I have a unbranded handset. No update for me. Not sure if i want to go down the manual RUU route again.
I just used the RUU, all seems to be OK so far
I got it yesterday on the one I sent back today, and got it straight away when turning on its replacement this afternoon. Both unbranded.
Nope! :-( T-Mobile UK
I'm just going to wait again, 2 weeks will go fast and at least it gets tested by others in europe before we get it.
I've got this mobile for 2 years so couple of weeks is nothing, and I must admit the updates are coming thick and fast compared with the desire I had.
I will be checking couple of times a day though lol

Please read through the threads in the One X Forum.
There are two 1.29.xxx updates the has just received the first one that doesn't fix the flicker, the second one is doing the rounds in Europe but not the UK yet, we have to wait another week
The latest update when it arrives in the UK will be 1.29.401.11 and the flickering will take a little time to sort itself out while the phone monitors voltage over the course of a days/weeks

same here branded phone so it is worse for us who have a branded one and one more thing i am disappointed about is that on my s2 say if i was on gingerbread 2.3.5 and a new custom rom based on 2.3.6 took my fancy i could easily update everything and say i was on the latest and greatest firmware..and that was the same with ICS..on my s2 i was on cm9 4.0.4 now here i do not even know if by flashing the latest custom rom i am actually fully updated or not hence why i am pissed off about
Wonder how long we will have to wait this time & i also wonder if HTC have thought up any new excuses for why we are waiting.
We need to find out why UK is being delayed all the time, HTC should give answers!
The first OTA (1.28) was received at the same time as everyone else - however, these two 1.29 updates have both been delayed.
... I hope its not a trend for the UK.

Good Morning Guys this is my first post here and also my reason for being in here.
I bought a HTC One m7 a year ago from Dubai with Verizon. but that's not a problem. I see in other HTCs that Purple camera problem is not so much in Android 4.2.2 but once they upgrade it to 4.4.2 or whatever, even place is not so dark screen turns pink. Now, my question is not about how to get rid of it because i love camera in 4.2.2 even it's just 4 mp. I'm just asking if there is anyone who runs custom or official Android 4.4.4 or if it arrived Android 5.0, on rooted or non-rooted HTC One m7, does problem still exists or not? i want upgrade my phone but still waiting because of camera problem. Waiting for your answers.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.
Stand by
Good luck
The camera issue you are talking about is hardware and HTC knows this. Only way to truly remove it is to replace the camera chip in the phone.
This happened with me on Lollipop as well, I never got the OTA until after Xmas, still not a sniff of Marshmallow. May be it is just me, but in theory you think owning a Nexus device means you get updates sooner but for me anyway the reality is by the time you get the OTA other manufacturers already have it out. My S5 got Lollipop before my Nexus 7 2013.
Anyone else have this issue?
I wish I knew the answer to your question. A co-worker got LP with in days of release and my tablet didn't see the update come down until 5.1 was out. Then oddly enough I saw MM with in three days of release and the small update that came after it the day it was posted.
I'm sure Google has some weird plan that only makes sense to them on when and what get the updates but it sure isn't any forum of logic I can understand. I think part of is they push the update to some devices and wait to see the telemetric data come back for a few days to see if there is any major bugs before pushing it out to "everyone." It's not like Google doesn't have the resources to just pump the update out for all to get at once like iOS does.
