Hey, does anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?
Basically almost everytime I try to connect a bluetooth speaker to my Tab S the WIFI slows down. I have a 200Mb connection, which works perfectly, but when I connect my "fake" beats pill to it, the WIFI slows and Youtube constantly buffers on HD streams, when I run a speed check I usually get between 0-10Mbps, now, if I turn off Bluetooth the speed will increase back to between 150-200Mbps. So it's definitely a bluetooth problem.
The thing is though, if I continuously discconnect the Wifi, bluetooth and powering off the Tab S eventually it will connect fine and speed will run as usual, but obviously rebooting everything for 15minutes is a pain and if there's a fix, I'd like to find it.
Thanks for the help guys.

Yes I also had the same problem with the ROM stock, I had to disconnect it to connect again so that it worked well ... since installing ironrom 3.2 no problem. I feel my English, a greeting.
Try this.

Hi,
The WIFI on my Note 8.0 is not working properly. I have a 4 MBPS line at home and it works perfectly with my other devices (Laptop, Phone) but somehow it just doesn't works properly with my Note 8.0. No matter what I stream (HQ videos, normal videos or audios), there is always a buffering lag which is very frequent (after every 5 seconds, it buffers for 2-3 seconds). I have tried everything, re-installed my WIFI network but the problem remains. Is this an OS issue ? Has anyone else faced this kind of issue ? (I have kept my WIFI on during sleep in advanced settings, so that is not an issue).
Any suggestions ?
Regards,
Pushkar
Hi all,
I have the strangest issue with my phone:
Whenever i'm streaming any music or podcasts on my phone (3g connection), the playback works perfectly for a couple of minutes and then it quits and does not resume until i turn the screen on again. As background, I was using the Android Revolution for a couple of months and was thinking that this might be caused by some sort of power saving feature, that cuts the data once the screen is turned off. I'm back to stock now and I'm still having the same issue. This is not application-related, since the same thing is happening with pocketcasts, spotify and google play music.
Can't find any other threads with the same kind of description of the issue, so I'm thinking I'm alone with the issue. The only thing I can think of would be my mobile service provider, but it makes no sense that the data connection would drop immediately when the screen is turned off. Also, the sleep mode has no effect on the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas!?
Try turning off SLEEP MODE from the power tab under settings.

Power Saver Mode (done by HTC) has an option that Disables data every time the screen goes off.
Although while I am streaming music on soundcloud , It still works with screen Off .

Just to let you guys know, that this was in fact caused by Android Revolution. I switched back to stock rom and was having issues with the play store not downloading apps that you have selected from the browser-based store. Had the same kind of issues with AR, so was thinking that the problem is still continuing. Used the stock rom over the weekend and noticed that even though i'm getting the random pause in music every now and then, the overall experience is way better.

Hello!
I am very very satisfied from the AFTV.
Rooted, using latest SPMC with RBox modules...
I have noticed that in the last week or two, the device became somewhat unstable (than usual anyway).
Video playback in XBMC (and maybe some other apps like YouTube/Animal Planet/PlutoTV/etc...) is worse, I get a microstutter every few minutes, sometimes even more than a microstutter, video hangs for a second or two... This is very annoying.
*XBMC suffers the most.
This happens regardless of video quality (checked SD/720/1080/2k...).
I am used to taking this kind of irritating behavior from Android, same thing happened to me with every Android Phone / TV Stick I have every had.
My solution was always to reflash a new ROM, start everything from scratch every few months..
I was really hoping that with the AFTV, I could just use it daily without messing around constantly around the clock with bug fixes and reflashes.
The problem here is, that there are no ROMS that I can reflash.
I have also tried installing Seeder, made everything MUCH worse.
Does anyone have any tips for fixing this?
Thanks in advance!
I started to notice the micro stutters last night as well. But the Aftv is at my girls friends place and she had terrible wifi connection. At some point I'm going to take it to my place and hardwire it to see if there's a difference.
I'm assuming it's an internet connectivity issue. Is yours hard wired?
I've noticed this issue with my parents AFTV, but don't experience it on my own. The only difference with their setup is that it is configured with multiple profiles and set to output 5.1 with pass through enabled. If I had to guess, I'd put my money on the stutter being caused by something with the audio engine.

It's not an internet issue, in XBMC I see the movie caching very fast, and when the stutter happens, everything freezes (menus etc...)

ATFV connected through HDMI Cable to the Phillips TV... standard 2.0 audio system, nothing fancy...
Perhaps it's something with my AdvancedSettings xml? My SPMC version? Trickster installed (and not used at all)?

Hey guys !
I've been having some problems with my phone, which is running stock unrooted GPE lollipop. My wifi keeps dropping, I mean it looks still connected, but there is no traffic. If i am playing a youtube video from 5 meters from my router, it randomly stops playing and starts buffering the video(even changing the resolution of the video to 240p). Like i had low signal(although I had 4/4 bars). And this extends to g+ not showing posts and pictures, web pages not loading, in a word, bad connection and/or really slow. I tried to do a speedtest and had under 1 mb/s down, although I was sitting a few meters from my router(sometimes it would be really inconsistent, like start with 40-50mb/s and start oscillating in high margins down to 1-2 mb/s). I only have this problem on lollipop, on stock kitkat it's perfect.
It there a way to solve this? I'm thinking of flashing the stock sense kitkat radio. Will that even work?
I tried the simple fix that was done on m7 when it was upgraded to kitkat - changing the wifi direct name of my device. I'm still testing if that worked.
Thanks ! :good:
If you've saved a radio.img or can find an original radio.img for your phone you can try to switch back to the old radio and see if there is any difference. radio shouldnt affect wifi, but it's worth a try since you can allways go back to the gpe radio.img using adb.
Has anyone noticed their music skipping? Poweramp/stock player. Its getting annoying as my g3 does it too. Is it an android problem or a phone issue? My phone is the h815; no root/bootloader is locked.
Update: I have emailed lg support and will hopefully get it dealt with. If its a phone fault I will just switch it for something else. This problem has persisted since the g3 and is just plain frustrating.
New update: I investigated my microsd card and have found there is a problem with it. When i transfer items from and to the card i get an io eror under Windows. I put my music onto a 64GB card and now the skipping appears to have disappeared. I was using a 128GB lexar card. I suppose the skipping could be from where the os cant read the file properly. It was doing it every minute or so.

FWIW, since lollipop I've had random music glitches when playing over bluetooth. This goes back to my HTC M8 as well. 4.4.4 no issues.... lollipop, random skipping/distortion. Usually most noticeable when the screen turns off/locks

Thanks for the response, I guess I'll just have to hope that the software developers find a way to deal with the issue. I'm glad its not tied to just lg.

I use Dogcatcher for podcasts during my commute. I have noticed the audio dropouts with Wifidirect/Miracast as well. This seems to happen multiple times per minute. As stated, 4.4.4 had no issues on my prior SGS4.

As I use Bluetooth streaming from my LG G4 everytime I get in the car, this problem really annoyed me. Like you, I had tried many different settings without luck. I noticed these issues mostly in Doggcatcher and Spotify, but also heard drops in waze and maps. My issue was due to the location settings.
In location settings, I disabled wifi and only enabled GPS. I also use quite a bit of Tasker and leave the screen dimmed while connected to Bluetooth as the mirracast that I hacked into my car won't display with the screen off.
The other setting that may help is set in a program called carhome ultra, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=spinninghead.carhome which is a great car dashboard app. The setting will slow the GPS update rate. My phone is stock and unrooted.
I hope this fix works for you. If you have any questions, reply to this thread.
