About Project:
Citrus-CAF, unlike the name suggests, was initially based off CyanogenMod, in the early days of Marshmallow, we even had another name at that point. Later, taking into consideration feedbacks of the very first slew of testers and carefully studying the needs and demands of our users, we rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. Time went by and Nougat released, and we decided that it was time, Citrus-CAF had to see the daylight. We rebased everything to the brank spanking Nougat released. Later we realized the true potential of CAF tags, how each of them altered the device performance on different SOCs. After a lot of thinking, we decided to keep different sources for difference SOCs in our git and hours of debugging later, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was the first device to get a taste of our Tangy Nougat. In the beginning, it was just two people behind , but in time, a lot of people joined us, as each giving their own contibutions.
Citrus-CAF was built to create an amazing combination of customization, performance and most of the demanded features by our users, whereas we've Cardinal, to deliver minimal customizations, but the greatest stability!
Meanwhile, all of our Tangy sources are publicly available on our Github. We also do own a Google+ Community, where you can.... uhm... you know, do what all others do at forums and communities! (Just kidding, we got builds over there and a feature-wish bucket too ) Hope you enjoy your stay and taste the Tanginess of our work!
Out of lemon, with love!
NOTE: There's nothing like, "we've decided to keep the customizations minimum, so as to provide stock AOSP experience, but with necessary features", cause this isn't Cardinal. This is Citrus

About Project:
Cardinal-AOSP is a Custom ROM which was initially based on AOSPB, then we changed our mind and rebased it to AOSP-RRO, to get better compatibility with most of the devices, Cardinal is being built with Uber toolchain, with most of uber optimizations, with full Substratum Support and with minimal customization, the main aim of this ROM is to bring stock AOSP experience as possible while maintaining performance, smoothness and good battery backup. I hope that you'll all love this project, and help us, shape it even more better.

Well most of the other Devs are already working on cm based roms . At first i wish to concentrate on Aosp based builds and make most of them go official .

@gopinaidu77 well feedback time brother . ROM is smooth. But Phone gets while sometime lying idle. The battery was getting down even without using. I will now try to install battery stats when i will try to know what was eating battery. As I am only one facing these heating issues maybe something is wrong with installed apps. But i don;t prefer to install too many apps.

ohk cool. I most of the time let the ROM decide the things what needs to be done. ROM can better handle these things. Well one more thing to tell you brother. I tried switch-off charging. There is no led while phone is in charging mode while switchedoff.

Until a solution to the Setup Wizard crash is found yes.
By the way, I'm not 100% sure it's a ROM problem.
Would you mind try using these GApps https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-dynamic-gapps-t3487192 to see if the SW still crashes?

I can confirm that latest build (aoscp_herolte-3.6.2-20170416-unofficial.zip) with Beans Gapps does NOT crash Setup Wizard.
I'm on G930F, TWRP 3.1.0.0, clean install. -Flashed ROM and Gapps without rebooting or wiping cache/dalvik in between!
Great ROM!!! Thank's
only problem I see is with the brightness slider in quick menu acts funny. great rom thanks

DOWNLOAD ROM
GAPPS: DOWNLOAD GAPPS
First time installing crDroid to your ENTER-PHONE-NAME, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip <--& vendor img, if applicable--> to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

WOw......Great rom!!!!
Yep, brilliant ROM. I finally managed to squeeze clock + 2 icons on the left and 4 icons including battery % on the right side of the status bar and keep system font size second from smallest which is readable. I moved from Havoc which was also OK, but somehow it's clock size menu disappeared or I couldn't find it due to so many options.
Well done sir. I'll keep this one for some time, thanks.

Probably no,
You can flash nik gapps core which has minimum things
Gapps build consume more battery than vanilla also takes lots of time to settle down this results in heating
No point in building also users want call recording in dialer which is not provided by google dialer
@Pranav Temkar Appreciate your efforts. keep up the good work. If possible please also do some other ROM's for Zuk Z2 Plus.

So i was thinking to maintain a rom with many customization and one minimal rom
Arrow fits best its pretty stable so will work on only these two maybe i change my mind later

No this wont go official as confirmed i had asked kuber sir he wont be doing arrow for zuk as the phone is being used by his sister and no blind builds from him
Also there is a pact where kuber will give me official only if i work with his trees but i will continue with dmitri trees
So it wont be official, i am happy without official too the rom provides same stability being unofficial too

Volte switch works on roms which have zui ril stack on lineage 17.1 dd3 had picked those old zui ril blobs and this fix volte switch issue
But those old zui ril blobs have great hit on battery life as network consumption is more in old zui blobs
Latest caf ril blobs have are well optimized than those old zui blobs
For reference you can check the commit message of the zui blobs present in lineage 17.1 by dd3boh
msm8996-common: Fall back to ZUI IMS-QMI-RIL stack · LineageOS/[email protected]
