I got prompted today to perform a software update on my Verizon S4 Mini. (SCH-i435)
I'm very hesitant to take it, though, as I'm afraid it might leave me root-less without any way to re-root. I'm guessing it patches Dirty Cow at the very least. I saw an SIII Mini owner said it replaced the Linux kernel, but did not update to a newer version of Android. Does anyone know the details for sure?

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the galaxy note 2 the same across all carriers? So why wouldn't this ROM work on the att version? Isn't the only difference lte?
Sent from the TermiNOTEr!
If the nightly doesnt say its for the at&t version I'm not sure I'm brave enough to flash that version, are you?
Either way this is big news as it was rumored that they would not be supporting the note2 due to the exynos chipset. Guess they had a change of heart
Just got a replacement Note 2, the stock ROM seems a little different...
I had restored my old Note back to stock, and did an OTA update, but the new one seems different.

I know it's the same old Android OS, but the Samsung features seem updated. Can anyone tell from the screen shot if it's the newest version or different, or I'm just crazy?
Going to wipe it soon, lol

Hi guys! I've been thinking about installing KK on my Tab 3. I've got some questions about this update. Will I be able to use my SIM Card and use it as phone like right now if my actual firmware is T211XXAML5 and modem like on the screen shot(I know that update changes modem). My CSC is TPL(T-Mobile Poland). Is it safe to update? And which country has better firmware(better stability and battery life)

I'm on the OTA MM 6.01 update. I'm trying to figure out exactly what app this is on my US SM-T800??
Also - we used to be able to see a list of apps that are currently running from within the app manager, how does one do this now?
EDIT Found it! Now located in the devoloper options...they re getting sneaky these samsung people.

Never had that kind of failure and without a lot more context its hard to give any direct help. I can say to try different versions of Odin as they are all not created equal. Also that is a i9192 fw, make sure you have a duos phone and not an LTE phone. trying a different fw version could help as well, sometimes they get corruted when downloading
