Can I use any region's firmware from Xperifirm? - Xperia Z5 Premium Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My device is an E6883. As long as I download another E6883 firmware am I good? Even if its from a different region?

I have E6853 and I flashed Poland, generic, some different t-mobile ones and truth be told they all seem about the same. But to each it's own.

Probably fine on 90% of them, but be wary some carriers (Like Bell Mobile in Canada, Another in Mexico) Have special hardware for whatever reason, and also have bloatware you cannot remove (Without root). Honestly, without trying all of them I couldn't tell you but I would stick with the ones that say "customized" as those are usually the phones sold from amazon/ebay/other online sites that sell unlocked phones. They won't have any carrier specific problems.
I have the E6853 but I can tell you stay away from Canada and Mexico, and I can tell you Singapore, Taiwan, and Germany all work great.

I know customised CN has no gapps. So flash it if it pleases you.

[Q] Flash new firmware

Hi, I just bought a galaxy note II for hong kong but the firmware installed on it is one from chinese origin --'
Is it possible for me to flash an european firmware on it? I have many apps that come in chinese, and this sucks ><
Please help.
Samfirmware and grab a firmware from your area its a international note 2 so your fine
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Like above said. Go to www.samfirmware.com, then go to "Firmwares and Files", choose Model and whichever country you want, and download it. Then, use Odin to flash it into your phone. Simple.
Your phone should be the international note 2. The model is "GT-7100 - Galaxy Note II".
Do you need to be rooted first before flashing a new ROM?
I am receiving a Chinese version tomorrow (UK), and was wandering if I could just change the CSC code and get get rid of anything that's in chinese language?
Thankyou

What you mean by international version?
What are the differences?
I ask because I am failing to flash mine and it might not be international (probably).
Thanks

LT26w firmwares (ICS/JB FTF) - 1266-4530 / 1266-2449 / 1266-2032

May you can use these firmwares. All are original, untouched, decrypted from SEUS with Flashtool
The Generic Nordic firmwares for Xperia devices are used to work much stable for me and contains much less bloatware compared to others.
ICS
1266-4530 (6.1.A.2.45) Generic Nordic
1266-2449 (6.1.A.2.55) Customized Switzerland (In fact, unbranded, with minimal bloatware)
JB
1266-2032 (6.2.B.0.200) Customized Hong-Kong
1266-2449 (6.2.B.0.200) Customized Switzerland
1266-2032 (6.2.B.1.96) Customized Hong-Kong
Please don't ask silly question, or screenshots, I repeat, these are stock firmwares from SONY.
Please hit the Thanks button, if you searched these items earlier.
Thanks for uploading to 4shared, very good website to download from At first I thought my phone was stuck on a boot loop during the "XPERIA" logo but turns out it just takes a while for it to load!
I downloaded the .ftf file linked in this thread and it's great. It's a little more current than the one you linked to. It's French in origin, it's unbranded and very clean. I did not try the one you linked to, so I can't compare.
After flashing that and updating OTA, I did this to root it and install CWM.

AFAIK they use the same BB. My device originated from HK, and works well on 2G/3G in the CE, either the Nordic and HK fw too.
BB problem could happen only if you flash an XAS fw to Acro HD, or vicaversa.

A question about region of the phone

What would happen if i flashed a firmware which isn't the same as my region, e.g i live in Egypt, what would happen if i flashed the firmware of Europe?

I do not think too much problem would be there as long as same version of phones firmware you are using. However language might be an issue if English is a problem for you.
I still not recommend to do that. However I am using Pakisthan firmware which is superior that Indian firmware. I live in India.

When I had my galaxy s 1 and I was flashing different ROMs some of them caused me to lose imei and the network was not working. I would rather wait for the update or write down your current firmware version and keep a backup om your PC. Be aware you can't downgrade if you flash KK. This comes from a guy who used to have obsessive flashing of custom ROMs disease (or OFCRD)

Best version of Pie to flash on Korean SMT835N?

I do not really understand, does it matter which country firmware I use? I live in the USA and use TMobile for service on my tablet so I'd like the best firmware to match that. Will a US SM-T835 firmware work on my SM-T835N? I know it's not released yet, but I can wait. Or do I need the Korean update for my model?
Thanks in advance.
Note that US version is T837 instead of T835 so there might be a difference in ROM partition.
I believe someone on XDA flashed T835 firmware on T835N but there doesn't seem to be any additional confirmation.

Don't know.
I do not know how it behaves with other countries. I have changed with the German A70 of the Telekom to the free firmware. For Vodafone there is still no new firmware. You could try the PHN software for Netherlands. But if it does not work you can not go back until Vodafone releases a newer firmware than the current one. Everything at your own risk. Just look at sammobile.

Which free firmaware, and how do you flash (change) the firmware?
Don't expect regular monthly updates as the A series is only scheduled for quarterly updates
It came however in the free firmware without Branding already 2 new updates. while Vodafone and Telekom have not rolled out yet. In these updates, the camera and the fingerprint scanner has been improved.
You can load the firmware at Sammobile and flash with Odin.
However, at your own risk.
Somehow Samsung is strange anyway. There are newer firmware in India and Iraq than in Europe.

I found the firmware there:
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a70/firmware/SM-A705FN/MID/download/A705FNXXU3ASG6/283359/
However, this firmware is also valid for other countries. Seems to work well in Holland as well.
In which language is the phone started the first time after flashing? You have flashed the firmware with Odin?

But you can not flash an older version with Odin, right? Then you always get an error message. Or is it possible to work around that? The binary must always be higher or equal.
