[Help Please] HTC One M9 Verizon Wireless - Verizon HTC One (M9)

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I read around a bit before posting. I've tried the sunshine method, and the htc dev method. Neither worked. I get an error attempting to unlock my bootloader. When I tried the sunshine app method I get FAILED after attempting to gain temproot. When attempting to use htc dev I get Error Code: 172. Error Reason: CID Not Allowed (MID not exist in Model Rule). If anyone can help me understand what's going on or point me in the right direction that would be great. Thank you!
Here are my phone's specs:
android version: 5.0.2
HTC Sense Version: 7.0
Software Number: 1.33.605.15
Kernel Verison: 3.1.0.49-g6f3afd3
Build Number: 1.33.605.15 CK511781 release-keys
Software Status: Modified
S-ON
Locked

I believe you need to downgrade to software version .7 to allow sunshine to work.
There is a thread here how to do it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...t-unlock-s-verizon-m9-mm-3-37-605-13-t3457717
first post shows 2 ways to do it , and the download for the RUU
it's also mentioned in that thread that it might help to also do a factory reset after the downgrade to .7
Also, Verizon has always blocked their phones from using the HTC dev unlock procedure.

Help getting my desire back to unrooted state

Hello
I am about to sell my desire and would like to get it back to a non modified unrooted state (ill just leave alone my S-OFF if possible), so that when i sell it, it will be able to install OTA updates and such.
Also i would like to get the original recovery back.
Before i modded it it was unbranded, so no rebranding needed.
Thanks in advance
This tutorial should help:
http://theunlockr.com/2010/06/07/how-to-unroot-the-htc-desire/
And as far as I know (never tried it tough) it will revert back also to S-ON.
okay i tried doing this, but the installer throw a error 140 says BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR.
My bootloader says BRAVO UNKNOWN SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.75.0000
The updater says from
Version:
1.21.405.2
To
Version
1.15.405.3
so prob i need a newer installer but where do i find that?
Use this, those are very old Android 2.1 versions...

It's 2.29.405.5 - the latest unbranded WWE RUU

[Q] Bootloader version error when downgrading

Hi there,
I'm trying to downgrade my HTC Desire Z following this guide
My INFOCID is HTC__102 so I should be able to skip step 1. When I run the RUU (RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed.exe), I get the error 140: "Bootloader version error". I know that a lot of people is having this problem but I couldn't find a solution for this online. Some people is saying that when you get this error it means that you need the Goldcard, so I did also step 1 without any problem, but I still get that error.
I also tried another RUU (RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.22.405.1_Radio_12.26.60.1301_26.02.00.24_M2_release_151197_signed) but I got the same problem.
I seriously think that solving this problem to me will solve the problem also to a lot of other people.
My device information:
Device Model: HTC Vision
Bootloader Version: 0.85.0010 SHIP HBOOT
Radio Version: 26.04.02.17_M2
ROM Version: 1.82.405.1
Android Version: 2.2.1
CID: HTC__102
Thanks!

Help with updating to Official Marshmallow 6.0

I'm a very new android user, so please forgive my ignorance.
I'm using a sim unlocked AT&T M8 outside USA with a different carrier. Right now, the bootloader is Locked, CID is 11111111 and S-OFF. I've downloaded the official marshmallow RUU for the unlocked version of m8 from htc website.
I follow the install instructions until the update actually starts. Then it stops after about 10-20 seconds and shows Error 155: unknown error and enters into the recovery steps (in the RUU).
Can someone please help me out with this? I will never receive the OTA's since I'm not using an AT&T sim. So RUU is the only other option left. Thanks a lot in advance.
What's the Marshmallow RUU no. that you downloaded ? I see only 4.28.502.8
To run a Marshmallow RUU, you need to install its matching firmware first. If not you'll get that error 155

Thanks for the reply. The RUU i downloaded is RUU_M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_MR_BrightstarUS_WWE_6.12.1540.4_2.exe.
My current software information is:
Android - 5.0.2
software number - 4.28.502.2
HTC SDK API Level - 6.55
Baseband version - [email protected]_40.45.C33065.00_F
Build number - 4.28.502.2 CL511189 release-keys
In the bootloader, it shows "software status: Official"
Do you think the RUU i downloaded is incompatible with my phone?

It is the wrong RUU for your device. 6.12.1540.4 is for the Dev Ed model. You have regular AT&T. I don't think AT&T has released the Marshmallow RUU yet, but when they do, the RUU will be 6.xx.502.x The 502 part is what you need to look for.

htc one m9, how put phone back to original rom and firmware "stock"

Hello I would like someone to help me recover my phone for "stock",i dont not understand any of this and do not have a backup.
I have unlocked bootloader and root.
Please explain me what to do and where to get the files.
I have the HTC ONE M9
Rom: 4.14.401.7
Radio_01.01_U11440792_97.00.51203G_F
Build number 4.14.401.7 Cl836547 release-keys
Kernel version 3.10.84-perd-g9b2a640
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT
OpenDSP-V46.2.2-00564-M8974_F0.0811
S-ON
In boot recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-hima
Android version 7.0
So, i want to update the software for 4.28.401.3
Because i have a problem the phone doesn't install the new update because of TeamWin.
If i take the unlocked bootloader will it accept the update?
i can't use it to open bank account app because it is rooted and unsafe phone.
I bought the phone already with the system stuck in bootloop, i just put this system and is working nice, but i need it to open back account app.
Do I need to do it in S-On or S-OFF?
More info just ask me.
thank you very much
