Hello friends!
On my OnePlus 3 running sultanxda build 20170107, Magisk 10.2 with phh superuser, data usage statistics are showing absurd and inconsistent values.
In the pulldown settings, the data consumption seems to be the correct value, because compared to the web readout of my provider, the value is close (0.17GB on the settings, 165.44MB on the website :

However on the detail view, there's supposedly 263MB of Android OS use:
My preferred monitoring app, 3G watchdog, shows the same, giving the additional insight that tose 263MB are mostly supposed to be upload traffic:
However, all that upload traffic doesn't actually exist, as evidenced by the provider readout. These inconsistent values are quite annoying. I'm trying to use 3G watchdog to have a projection of my data usage over the whole month so I don't run out, but that's useless with the "phantom data" being pulled from Android OS.
I've been using this phone with sultanxda builds for about a month now and the issue has been there constantly. I haven't used any other rom builds to compare. Is this a known issue for sultan, cm/linage, Android, the OnePlus 3 or anything else? Any ideas for troubleshooting? I couldn't find other threads on xda or Google, unfortunately. All those I found had to deal with traffic that was actually there ...

Hey guys. I have a M5 dual, Android 6.0, unlocked BT and rooted. Since I updated to 6.0, my battery stands for less than one day. It used to last at least 2 full days.
Looking at the battery usage, Wifi seems to be the problem. However, I'm not using wifi at all. For testing purposes, I disabled wifi, wifi scanning, and location is set to device only mode, but it still reports that Wifi is eating more battery than anything else.
The only way to stop wifi from appearing in the list is setting the device to airplane mode. Does anyone know what it could be?

Ive disabled adaptive brightness and wifi scan and now the battery life is better.... But not even close to 2 days life
I kept looking for a solution and I found one that worked at least for me. It's worth a try if you're having the same issue with WiFi being what drains the most battery life.
Settings, backup & reset, Network settings reset.
This will wipe all your network data, including your stored WiFi passwords. If you had to download any configuration data from your carrier to make your 3g/4g work, you'll have to download it again.
Hey xda,
So I recently got an S8+ after having an iPhone 6 for 2 years, and boy have I missed Android OS. First thing I wanted to do with the phone was root so I could install Viper4Android. I found the SamFAIL root method on this forum and got root access and installed V4A without issues. But now my internet connection is intermittent. For example, I just ran a speed test and it took 35 seconds for the ping test (274 ms) and download speed was 0.03 Mbps and upload speed was 0.01 Mbps.

Before the root, my phone was Baseband version G955USQU1AQK |Build number NRD90M.G955USQU1AQK3
and now after the root it is Baseband version G955USQS1AQI6 | Build number NRD90M.G955USQS1AQI6
I'm not sure if that is the issue, or if some sort of network settings aren't properly configured, but any advice in the right direction to fix this issue would be much appreciated.
Let me know if there's any required info I would need to provide to further diagnose.
I would start over. Flash stock and re-root again. The only real issues with root that I've experienced are discoloration of the screen (which is temporary and can be cleared with a few screen off/on and unlocks) and the battery not charging past 80% (which some believe is just cosmetic). But my data speeds are still the same as before.
Hi,
I just got an Note 8 Pro and been playing around with it and it seems the easiest way out is to root and install a another rom, but i'm just curious about the meter you can activate that shows if you data is in use, mine is NEVER at 0 basically, it can hit to 0 a few seconds but usually its higher, jumping 0.1KB/s - 4.0KB/s, I do not use any social media apps - none.
I have tried press Deny and Cancel and NOT using Mi Cloud and stuff like that so what could it be?
In battery usage Android System is using 19% that is the most, i've read that it needs a few recycles and it'll stabilize(?) but my battery feel alright, so why would Android system draw less after a few recycles? I'm at 60% after 18h last charge. 4hS oT
