Hi people
First of all...i would really like to thank the devs who really made it possible for Android N to be used in our beloved ole pal N7100
I really want a daily driver that also supports me with the battery backup for a decently long time...so anybody kind enough would mind suggesting me which one out of CM, RR or AICP Nougat versions should I go with ??
And also requesting to suggest me a MM rom out of so many that also provides a decent battery backup.
THANKS IN ADVANCE !! :victory::victory:

Hello!
I just bought a G3 D855 (arrives next week), and I don't know where to start. Should I start out with the stock experience? Should I go straight into the AOSP arena? I'd love some insight where possible. Coming from Samsung and Touchwiz I wonder if the LG skin is as annoying?
If someone could recommend a stock rom to start with that would be awesome or offer any insights I would really appreciate the help! - Looking around the CloudyG3 V2.5 looks promising -
I don't yet know what rom will be on the device - I believe it will be 4.4.2. Should I do an OTA update to Lollipop or what would be ideal? Just root and flash?
Finally which method to root? The one click method by avicohh? Is there another I should try?
Apologies for all the noob questions - just want to do right by my new hardware!
Thanks in advance for any insights!

If you want a best camera quality with ois working then stock based rom is best for you.If you love simplicity & ready to give up LG features then use CM or AOSP based roms. Its your personal preference.LG G3 camera hasn't been ported to cm or aosp based roms yet..Its your personal preference. You can use cloudy rom if you want g4 touch with slight modifications over stock lollipop. On the other side there are many LG UI themes are available in store. Those are pretty cool. You can try it out.
If you want to root then use this software as this is the easiest way..

That's great! Many thanks for your response. I'm looking forward to investigating the LG UI Themes. And thank you for the rooting link!

Wrong Section
Also a self help thread should not be created in the development forum since this section is dedicated to discussion most closely pertaining to roms and development in general and so a mod can help you out here.
And while we're at it, you might need give the roms a try before finding what exactly is best for you. CM or stock both work equally well. In general view I prefer stock since it's better at times in terms of stability and other software features. CM has been a hit and miss for me. Previously used to own a Note 3 till it got jacked out of my pocket. Worked pretty well on that but I prefer stock on this.
Generally speaking the phone's a good combination of power and aesthetics. You won't regret your stay here since there's so much to do especially since the bump root. Have at it and feel free to ask any questions.

My Apologies! I should have posted in the Q & A section - astute moderation!
I shall start digging to find out what "bump root" is all about. Asingha94 recommended DP root
Thank you!

Hello everyone
What is the best Rom phone galaxy s4 mini GT-i9195?
?????
There isn't a "best rom for galaxy s4 mini". Its about which suits you best.
Depending what you want....there are not "best" rom...
You want a good stock without problem ? You have ploiki's rom with Alexax66 kernel...
You want a good LP custom ? You have Resurrection Remix Lollipop ...
You want the stable simplicity , "old school" with holo ? Last release of cm11 is for you..
I know these sort of posts aren't really allowed, but I always like to hear what people "think" are the best. Personally I HIGHLY recommend Lombartz CM11 and his "lite" version of kernel. Very fluid, and latest security fixes.

Yes...generally it's totally disrespectful for devs...and forbidden by xda.
But that depend what's the state of mind of the question...
And we ALL want the best stability and great battery life because our phone became very very mportant in our own life . The biggest majority of peoples don't want at all to be "beta testers" ...
==> imagine that you want to call in "full emergency", or absolutely need internet ,for very important things, must need gps(you are lost!)....and this sh** of hell of.... phone don't want to call ,fc,reboot itself ..etc....or big battery drain ,don't go to deepsleep.... ===>phone totally inefective !!!
Imagine.....
According to my own experience :
Samsung Stock : scStock + Alexax66's Kernel
Custom Kitkat : Official CM11 + F4k's Kernel + open gapps
Custom Lollipop : AICP 10.0 (F4k's kernel already included) + TK gapps
By the way, my respect for all devs who share their knowledge and efforts to the delight of everyone.
Yesss.....
Always show all the recognition and love to all devs :good:
For me ,i fell in love of Resurrection Remix LP for his stability, pitsh-black and options...
But i pray so much for last 5.5.9 release :fingers-crossed: ...and wait for Alexax66 kernel(because this rom suck more battery ) ^^
I meet the same pb on my mini LTE
not sur that this phone is strong enough to use a LL ROM
I meet multi reboot with the AICP 10 and would like to know if it will be better to downgrade to a KK one and wich one

Lollipop & Marshmallow are not more "angry" than KK ...it's near the same resources...
And this S4mini is not a poor phone at all ! with 2×1.7 ghz core and 1.5 Go of ram ,very good chipset and enought power of gpu....it have great antutu score .
But LP periodicaly have some problem on source with cm development ,not enought stable during this year of LP ....and others customs use these sources .
But you can test this new RR MM 6 by Silesh Nair (see coms on RR thread ) and LP 5.5.8 work fine now
i think that this cm12.1 is correct NOW !!!! with his 1 year of development !!! no ???!!! :silly:
thanks Tiger
Hello,
can anybody recommend me good/clean/fast/stable ROM for S4 mini? Have original ROM (T-Com) and really don't like apps like flipboard, hangouts, kiosk play etc..
Thank you
Although I think threads like this aren't exactly allowed, I think your best choice would be the official stable CM 13. I used it when I had this phone and it was a great experience.
CM 13.0 is Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). Will it be ok on this device?
Try Carbon kitkat, good stable and fast

I was having fc's on google play services so I had to change my rom. Don't you have any fc?
I've tried almost every rom for s4mini,
i always go back to carbon
Allowed or not allowed ,i'm interested too ...
Usually i test roms and kernel ...and show big gratitude and respects for the devs but now i have given my s4 mini lte to my wife and want for her a rom as stable and battery friendly as possible ! Without problem....
but with MM for me !
I was a big fan of Résurrection Remix ,a fabulous ,a spectacular rom....but too much options for my wife...
Hello everyone,
I would like to know what is the best rom between Paranoid, lineageOS and OMNI?
Stock
Too open ended of a question. Unless one of them is missing a function you really need, or has (a) critical bug(s), they're all good in their own way.

for me smoothness is very important and in that case omni is the best choice for me.
btw if you can't choose just try them all and use them for a couple of days. when you have found the one you like just flash that and you are all done
Cheers.
Jim
Omni is the clear winner. It's smoother than stock. My opinion ofcourse.
I've tried Lineage, Paranoid Android, etc... Nothing beats Omni. And the support is also great.
Carbon is only in testing, and GPS is broken (should be fixed soon) but I think you should give it a try
Since nougat is working really good in Xperia S, I just wanna know why no further development were made on Xperia S for Android 8.1. I downloaded and flashed Oreo ROM by @millosr. But it's an alpha ROM and it's not really that Smooth, but thank you millosr. If anyone's got a little time to spare, can you make the oreo ROM for us (pweaasee). This device really amazed me, and it'll be awesome if anyone could improve millosr's ROM and make it more stable and awesome. Thanks in advance
