Trouble getting identifier tokens for bootloader unlock - Desire 820 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I was trying to unlock bootloader of my HTC Desire 826(Dual sim) but can't get the identifier tokens {Can't find dedicated 826 section, so posted here. New guy, pardon}
I was unable to have my phone detected in fastboot, tried manually installing drivers in Windows device manager and used "Universal AdB drivers" from CWM, installed HTC android interface. Now I can get result in "fastboot devices" command.
However, "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" takes too long and gives an error "Status read failed (too many links)
Please help.

in that case, flash a proper official RUU for your phone. I hope, that will solve your problem

[Q] Unlocking bootloader - Xperia S does not stay in fastboot mode

Hey guys!
I'm trying to unlock boot loader on my Xperia S.
I tried the official way - via Sony Development site but I get stuck on the step where you have to connect the phone and push Volume Up button. Problem is that the phone enters the fastboot mode for 5 seconds, but then shows the battery charging logo and it 'quits' the fastboot mode.
Also, when the phone enters the fastboot mode, I should be asked for a driver, but I'm not.

Later I tried using the fastboot tool, found here, but the instructions aren't clear, because it seems that the new version is slightly different as the older one. Anyways, when I want to fastboot it (labeled with B) it enters the fastboot mode for 5 seconds, then the phone turns on again.
The problem is your windows system doesn't have the right fastboot usb drivers installed for your device. If those are not detected it will leave fastboot.
I can't help you with how to get those installed fully. But i think I ended up manually updating a hidden device in device manager. I think it stays around there as a disconnected device which you can update.
Hope this at least points you in the right direction.

I can also confirm I did something similar on my Win7 64x - had to manually force some drivers for the fastboot mode.
From A to Z, please
Okay guys,
first of all, thank you!
Ok, let me explain:
1. what I want: get rid of sony's firmware and flash CyanogenMod11
2. phone: Xperia S, my current firmware: 6.2.B.1.96, (still) locked bootloader , no CWM, no root access, SONY PC companion installed
3. I'm following this tutorial: http://www.androidhogger.com/how-to-install-cyanogenmod-11-android-4-4-xperia-s.html
4. I stuck when it comes to root xperia s http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/xperia-s-lt26i-root-android412-jellybean-ota-501291, but this tutorial says I have to unlock bootloader before. Well okay.
5. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447319
I DID everything as said in instructions till the 10th step, but then the ******* phone does not stay in Fastboot mode. My computer installs (apparently) some random drivers -> it does not ask me what I want to do, 'because the driver wasn't installed successfully'., so I can not point to the usb_driver folder.
I tried updating the driver through the Device manager where 'S1 Boot Fastboot' shows when I enter the fastboot mode, but can't finish because the phone quits fastboot and the SONY's logo apperas before I manage to do anything.
I also installed alternate driver pack (link in DooMLoRD's tutorial), but it doesn't change anything.
That's it, guys. I REALLY hope you can help me, because I can't stand the official firware anymoreeeee. I know you rock the stage of phones
Cheers!

All i can get is this screen. It doesn't boot or charge only this. I tried power+volume up, volume down etc. still did not work. Also i tried other charges.
All I can manage to enter is that white backgrounded screen then i tried to enter the recovery and again i get that screen.
I plugged to PC and i hold power, vol up vol down etc. i just hold randomly. And I got windows connected sound. All the alphabet came through as disks.
These are the not empty ones:
After that I hold the power button I got these:
Than it returned back to the image in the first post.
I still can see the htc splash screen after 2 seconds first image in the first post.
And also sometimes i am managing to connect it to PC. QHSUSB_BULK is the device name

Actually I tried all those stuff. Now the only thing that I can get is boot screen. I can enter the fastboot but i have no idea what to do with. And also when i enter fastboot my Windows 10 can see My Htc name under the device manager.

This is all a good thing, and points to your phone being recoverable.
From what you've posted, its sounds like YES power + vol up works (this function forces a reboot) and power + vol down get you into bootloader. So the phone powers on; the main issue is not booting into Android OS.
To determine the path forward, we'll need more info. Please do fastboot getvar all, and post the output (delete IMEI and serial number before posting).

You should still be able to get into Recovery or Fastboot mode. When it's bootlooping, just keep Vol+ or Vol- pressed. No need to press home button on the Note. Preferably you have TWRP installed, i don't know whether the Fastboot or Samsung recovery menu offer power-off as first solution.
When my Galaxy S5 froze last time, i was unable to perform a cold boot or shutdown, but these two keys worked, and you had to keep vol and menu pressed and to release power button when the boot screen comes up. Probably i just repeatedly failed on the cold boot/powerdown, though there was one key less to keep down. One the Note this would mean to keep just power pressed for around 10 seconds.
Help me to solve the problem

I have exactly the same tablet. I tried to install the twrp (no errors) through ODIN. After the installation of the Super Su I have seen that many services started to stop and the tablet was almost completely blocked. I removed Super Su (from the app) and when I restarted the tablet the nightmare has started too.
I read some advices regarding remove the battery (on other samsung smartphones) but this is a tablet so any help is appreciated.
Any idea? Even if I manage to have the screen with "a custom os can cause critical problems"..... if I try to push the volume + the loop starts againg
Hope someone can give me an answer
Unbrick by flashing stock rom via Kies or Odin, then TWRP via Odin, then Magisk via TWRP.

Pixel 3XL Black Screen - Still show in adb and have vibration

Google release Android 12 Dev Preview and i decide to sideload that on my 3xl device (It not my daily use device so it fine for me)
1) I connect the phone, use adb reboot recovery in ota intrucstion and the screen gone black
2) It not show in adb, not show anything in the screen. I use Power + Vol Down for a while, then it show on adb devices with Window add device sound
Current State: + Black screen
+ Have vibration
+ Receive charging and show on adb, i use some adb command to check and it have 100% battery
Case i think happen:
+ No battery, no boot up : I tried use adb command and it in 100%
+ Screen die, error (Hardware): I dont think that happen because it working fine for me and i not did any damage to it, just reboot it to recovery. I tried a type-c to hdmi and connect it to my monitor but it
not render anything
+ Some firmware problems: I not flash anything yet, just boot it to recovery so i dont think this case happen, i tried some method like hold power, hold power + vol down but not work
It really weird things for me, it is the first time i see a device working normally just gone to black screen by boot to recovery, non respond in screen (squeeze gesture and fingerprint still give vibration), not ringing by call.
Some note may useful: I tried hold power + vol down, then hold vol + while still hold these two button, some kind of strong vibration happen then everything still the same
I really looking forward to people have the same problems and solved it!
Surfaceflinger might have been corrupted, so the only thing you can do now is try to guess the key combination for bootloader, or just use adb to boot into bootloader mode. Then flash the latest factory image. That will hopefully fix it.
My device not have oem unlock option, so seem like enter bootloader to flash image is not possible
But i have some update, i used a tool https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy and i show my display
to my computer

I try to touch on screen, use button, ... and everything seem like work. Only the display not display anything, just the black screen. At this point, i think it because of hardware problems - sound like so weird because i just run the device to recovery by adb

not custom rom and not root, in video i show recovery mode and i cant enter in android configuration
Go into recovery mode (with the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power) and you see what options are available. I'm not suggesting anything because I don't know the device, but I'll hint when I see a screenshot in recovery mode.

The image shows that the system booted into safe mode, not recovery mode. Can you check with the adb devices command how the phone connected to the PC responds?
Recovery mode looks like >this< video at 1:30.
