Hey guys, sorry for the n00b question.
I plug this phone (my mom's LS-970) into the computer and I can connect as Camera or Media device... how do I just get it to connect as a USB drive?
This is baffling me.

by mistake i flashed nexus 4 kernel and hard bricked my og
i used this link to unbrick my phone.. but i am getting an error in emmc software download app(picture attached)

Shows no phone is connected. Does your pc recognize phone when connected? You have to install QUSB-DLOAD Driver.

ya its shows.... after i clicked download,a disconnected shound is heard from the pc... but it is showing in device manager

could you please share the links and a mini tutorial of what are you doing? mi OG 977 is hard bricked and i can't find a JTAG service, and the computer only recognize it as QSHLOAD 9008
I've got an LG G3 by US Cellular (US990) that I'm trying to downgrade using LG Flash Tool. The problem is that it's not being recognized by Flash Tool or by LG PC Suite for some reason. When I plug it in in normal Android it recognizes it whether it be charging, MTP or PTP. But when I go into download mode these programs do not recognize it and so I can't flash anything. Anyone had any similar problems or anything I can try? I have installed the drivers multiple times and I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have you changed the com port yet? If not, set it to 41.
No I haven't, how would I go about doing that?

Okay I was able to find and change that to 41 but no luck..
Got the right drivers? Would assume so just checking

Hey all, I think I broke my G4 h811 , but not at all because I can access to download mode, the problem is that when I try to open LGUP or LG flash tools, my LG appears as UNKNOW MODEL, and because of that I can´t install the kdz file, I tried to re install all the drives and so on, I am working in a win 10 laptop. Someone that can help me. Thanks!!! I will be waiting for a answer.
Enable usb debugging mod in settings>developer options. And also make sure that you have all the lg drivers installed and working. I am sure you will be fine.

Try using LGBridge and clicking the update error recovery.
You are coming from an international rom right?
change port number. or task manager adb kill

I am coming from a rooted T-Mobile rom, all happened because I change the file build.prop :/, I tried LGBridge but nothing

I can access by VOL- & Power with factory data reset options, I tried but nothing change

So using the hardware buttons, and clicking yes through the factory reset confirmation does not boot you into recovery mode? Did you format your internal memory?

using hardware buttons and clicking yes the phone just restarted and that´s it. I didn´t format my internal memory. I was trying to fix my phone by using kdz files but the problem is that the programs as lg flash tool and LGUP don´t recognize the model of my lg g4.

What firmware were you on? What message did LGBridge say when you tried error update recovery?
I have the same problem with my H815 and Windows 10. All drivers are set up correctly. In device manager, I can see the device and ADB Device, but LGUP won't recognize my G4. Obviously, LGUP is buggy...
Is there any better tooling to upgrade to a more recent ROM? Otherwise, I really would have to change to CM13 - upgrading is very easy and not any nasty USB stuff what in the end may not work at all...

I am porting the h811 20i, LGBridge say just that there are not update errors that can be recovered

Download this driver. This will help you.
I am new to this forum so I can not link, but you have to look for LG driver version 3.14.1
I had the same problem today and it helped me.

Thanks, but I installed the drive and nothing is still Unknow model for LGUP :/
Can someone give me a working method of installing a kdz or a rom on lg e975 using download mode?
I tried with lg flash tool 2014 and I have this error:

O also running Windows 10 on my PC..
The only thing I can open on my divice is the bootloader, recovery (TWRP) and download mode. I have nothing on my phone, no rom no data no nothing, just some folders.. What can I do for fix it?

Is not I tried another cable and another usb port.. :/
But where you download the flash tool and drivers from?
Unfortunately it is not possible using Windows 10, or USB 3.0. Preferable to use windows 7 and USB 2.0.

For me it never works in Windows 10. To Windows 8.1 works very well. I'll try again with Windows 10, thanks for the info.
I have read the whole thread, and brought my e975 back to life!
I tried a different USB cable and different USB port (2.0 i guess)
