Can anybody hook me up? I've got a carrier branded model and don't get the nice boot animation. Can't seem to find it anywhere either, it's all ports for lower res devices

Use Rom Toolbox you can extract it from a stock Rom!! Then install through root explorer!!!! Simples...

It is resize for S/Ion/Acro S. But it will work on Z also. Take a backup of original file before trying it.

You mean above the navigation buttons ? I think it must be a bug in google launcher. Try some other launcher and see if it persists.

I am also using nova launcher and space is normal. Try resetting the launcher and this time time don't make any mods.
And did you have the same problem with google launcher ?

Thanks for sharing the APK. Just downloaded the fimrware of 8 from Xperifirm and no new static wallpapers. Sony is kinda lazy including new wallpapers in their new phones.

Didn't bother checking the alarm/ring/notification tones as I am more into wallpapers.? I highly doubt there's new tones included but will provided them for you, if you can wait.
