Supersu and h2O2 color accent mod - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

So i tried to install this mod without succes.
First Just installed it without wipe over oxygen os 4.0.1 l, failed to boot.
Second try i installed supersu and full wipe. It did boot but I couldnt use my phone because the installed supersu caused my sim card to not get recognized.
Which supersu did you guys use? Or could it be I have the wrong TWRP?
Im pretty sure I used the right twrp so the sim card issue must come from supersu

Fixed it, I used supersu 2.74 instead of 2.79. thanks!

Help! Bricked LG G3 installing Xposed

LG G3 D855, 16Gb UK Model with quickcase
I have earlier put on TWRP, and Cyanogenmod 12.1, and super su, quickcase view etc.
supersu had to be installed via twrp, as the app from playstore would not update the binary
then downloaded xposed 3.1 apk and installed that
now it asked to install xposed so
then downloaded xposed-v74-sdk22-arm-by-romracer-20150911.zip and saved into downloads
booted into twrp recovery, installed it, and rebooted
now it no longer boots, gets stuck at the blue face logo.
I have tried to go back into recovermode,
advanced , terminal and created /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled
but it is still getting stuck on reboot.
no idea what to do now.
I could consider complete wipe/reflash, but would like to recover this.
any help appreciated.
thanks.
Update:
copied xposed-v75-sdk22-arm.zip to sdcard, and used twrp to install that.
Seems to have fixed the bootloop problem. Now need to get xposed correctly installed.
Not sure why I had downloaded the romracer version.

Help with TWRP and device decryption

Hey Guys!
I'm having a little bit of trouble finding info on this out. I
I running android 6.0, have s-off and have installed TWRP 3.0.2-0 and had supersu installed.
Decided to enable encryption which only worked when i did full unroot via supersu app but now when I try to go into TWRP and enter my password to decrypt, it fails. I'm trying to re-install supersu but would also like to have TWRP work correctly.
Any one have any tips?
Thanks!!:good:

ok I figured it [email protected]
I added my supersu.zip file to my external memory card (not encrypted).
Booted into TWRP
made sure my memory card was mounted and installed from the memory card.
Worked just fine!
NOTE: when i rebooted the phone, it did ask me for my password twice which scared my at first but it all worked out fine!

booting forever after rooting oxygenOS 3.2.8

So I was on rooted 3.2.6 with xposed installed and decided to upgrade to 3.2.8.
I dirty flashed the full ROM 3.2.8 onto my 3.2.6 (without flashing SU or xposed because I wanted to use Snapchat with snapprefs again so I i flashed 3.2.8 without root , logged into Snapchat etc. )
after that I flashed superuser and xposed and since then my phone doesnt boot.
I interrupted the first try because it took over 20 minutes then tried it again after clearing cache and dalvik but it still doesnt boot ( i see the two circles and red dot)
Hope someone can help me
PS: I didnt make a backup because it would be too large, on the other hand I have the full 3.2.8 on my internal storage as well as the latest superSU
solved it
If someone experiences the same problem you need the newest xposed version v87. Flash it normally and wipe cache/dalvik , thats it !
I had that, I fixed it by boot to twrp flash the xposed uninstaller zip to remove xposed, then the phone should boot normally, I then found a newer version of xposed (the November security patch in 3.2.8 doesn't like older versions) and flashed it via twrp again, all my modules were still there and didn't need setting up again either.
Hope that helps

root problem

hi,
i just installed the last beta version of OOS (beta 14) and my phone was previously rooted.
when i instaled the update, i reflashed super SU and when the phone booted up i had TWRP and SuperSU flashed but all my apps said the phone wasn't rooted (superSU showed me the message about SU binary not being installed or whatever).
i then uninstalled SuperSU and rechecked and all my apps said my phone was rooted. what did i do wrong? i am thinking that this is a temporary root without SuperSU so i would love it if someone had a solution and coul help me
Try to flash the superSU.zip once again without clearing cache .....it would work
i tried with and without clearing cache, nothing works. i also tried 4 different supersu zip files.
i even reflashed OOS and tried again (don't know if that does anything)

Pixel XL will not root

Pixel XL running 8.0.0 OPR3.170623.007, developer options and USB Debugging are both on.
I was rooted for a while now, then I tried using one of my root-only apps and it told me it can't get root access.
I looked for SuperSU, which was missing.
I unrooted and rerooted using Skipsoft Unified Android Toolkit.
It flashed SuperSU 2.82 and flashed TWRP 3.1.1.1. The TWRP flashed just fine, but no matter how many times I flash SuperSU, it doesn't show up in my app drawer and the phone is still not rooted. I tried SuperSU 2.82 and the SR5 stable beta, neither worked. I also tried installing it through the Play Store after flashing it, it goes through the install process then just give me the option to install again, never fixes my issue.
Any idea on what I can do next?
edit: I updated to 3.2.0.0 and was able to root. Flashing the most recent beta and non-beta Magisk versions did not work, neither did installing the SuperSU APK. Once I updated to 3.2.0.0 I was able to root with Magisk just fine.
Flash the stock boot.img to both slots and reroot. Use SR5.
I would also advise to start by flashing the stock boot image. I would then boot twrp, flash twrp, then flash latest su.
If that doesn't work I would try going with the latest magisk zip (14.5)
I should have mentioned this, Unified Tool Kit flashed the factory boot image before releasing the latest TWRP and then flashing the most recent SuperSU. I did try flashing SR5 with negative results.
I'll give Magisk a try.

I followed 1,2,3,4,8, zero issues on 8.1.
I had a problem rooting with SuperSU. When i TWRP flashed it, it wouldnt show up in my apps, but my device was still rooted. For some reason the app just wasnt showing up so im using Magisk 14.5 instead...

Common issue. You can grab the app apk from inside the zip and install it.
I tried flashing both beta and non-beta Magisk versions and installing the SuperSU APK, nothing worked.
I saw that a new TWRP got released, 3.2.0.0. I flashed that and was able to successfully root. Thanks for your help, guys.
