Hi, i read somewhere that i need to use the correct RUU to revert back to my stock rom htc one x. i kinda lost my nandroid backup.
is the RUU can be found in fastboot? if so, here are the details.

hi, i know this thread was created last month.. sorry for bringing this up again, i didnt want to create a new one for the same purpose. also, i was busy from work so i didnt had time to work on this. now ive got my hands full on this to work..

Firstly lock the bootloader, "fastboot oem lock"
Then right click the RUU and select "run as administrator"

thanks for this i managed to bring back the original ROM.
also just want to give background info. on this..
after I bring back Sense ROM in this unit, i will be surrendering it to HTC center because the LCD was broken and need of replacement.
last month i brought it there and they were charging me a couple of hundred dollars on top of the LCD replacement, due to the reason im using a different kind of ROM and such..
How can i guarantee that the ROM im using is a legit one and so i wont be questioned by them anymore and just replace the screen?
I checked the software info on my phone now, and it displays:

If you run the ruu succesfully its full stock. You can't run another ruu then the one that is released for your phone with your software number ! Don't worry about that.
The only thing that they will see is the relocked bootloader, they always know its been unlocked before. That's all.
They can make a problem of that, because in certain cases unlocking means no more warranty

First delete your IMEI and S/N. Second post the result from command fastboot getvar all and again delete your IMEI and S/N.
What CID are you what is your main version?

First things first.......put the phone on charge ! Put it inside the recovery (tell us what recovery you have ?) Otherwise you get stuck with a drained battery soon !

A method for producing a flow 5.0.2 5.0.2 with subsequent update to 6 mm 100% process working. install stock rekaveri , If you have unlocked bootloader , relock it, рut it on your external sd card not decompress zip archives(0PFJIMG.zip), boot into bootloader with volume - and power button. it will read the zip, and if it compatibel with your os it will aupgrade and you have to confirm with your buttons.

the app to lockbootloader needs usb debugging enabled and my phone is dead can i flash the stock recovery and the firmware then lock the bootloader???

No need to lock the bootloader!!!You can you unlock the program Android Debug Bridge for fast usb

ok when flashing the stock recovery and booting into it it gives red triangle!! cant boot to recovery to flash the rom
and when i tried to flash twrp recoveryy and flash the rom with it it said"Failed"

ok i got it now but still the probolem my phone is dead..cant enable usb debugging to lock the bootloader

ok the backup is workingbut reboots alot.....so i put the zip file in sd and when locked bootloader and went to Hbot it says

You can't install OTA on rooted ROM ... it needs pure non-rooted stock ROM.
You can try to restore only the system partition from non-rooted backup.

But in your screenshot you tried to install EU 6.12.401.4 OTA
and it failed because your stock recovery is TMOB US.
Post here fastboot getvar all result without serial & imei no.
We need to make sure the correct version that you have.

Htc one m8 not getting the OTA marshmallow
Hey i have htc one m8 running 4.4.4 and i am not getting the OTA update so i searched ur site and first of all i run a command fastboot getvar it says that my phone version is 0P6B130 and carrier is T-mobile so i downloaded the ruu from htc.com for t mobile and try to install but nothing happens and then i searched more and more about mid and cid i installed a app from playstore it shows main cid is T-MOB010 but i red it in detail its shows two mids and two cids.my bootloader version is 3.19.0.0000 and s-off and its locked and status is official.

if the first cid and mid is the current now you can't flash Tmobile RUU
( there is a simple fix for this issue as you said your device is s-off but i'm afraid to say it,then you screw up )
so post the result of fastboot getvar all ( after removing serial and imei numbers ) to be certain what you need to do
and don't use an app to read cid and mid

Are you located in US and on T-Mobile network ?
If no, I suggest you to change the MID to EU MID 0P6B10000 then install EU Marshmallow RUU.
Some say once you have SuperCID, there is no need to change MID as SuperCID will override MID but in my experience that will never happen (flashing a modded firmware.zip is different as it has almost all MID in its android-info.txt). Unless you MID is SuperMID, you need to change MID to EU if you want to install EU RUU.

If yes, in US and on T-Mobile network, you need different approach.

Then go for the option that I mentioned earlier.
First - change MID
Second - install RUU
Change MID
What you need to do .. boot to bootloader and install TWRP - maybe version 2.8.7.0 will do

Mount - system
then open command prompt from your adb/fastboot folder

Not enough info to say, for sure.
Which RUU number?
Exactly where does it get stuck? Any error messages?
After double clicking the ruu the installaion wizard pops up and after selecting the next option the installion bar goes to full and after that installion wizard vanishes and nothing happens.

RUU problems are usually on the PC end. Try a different USB port, or different cable. Try to re-install HTC Sync and HTC drivers.

Its out there. I put it on the sd external card. I rename it 0PKVIMG.zip and start into bootloader where it gets read instantaneously and begins to install the sense 7.0 Android 6.0. IF you have first relocked your bootloader at htcdev .
It is explained by htcdev
You can do it too as I did.

There is only one I have seen that is out there to download. It worked and my phone can be completely restored to the basic MM. It then immediately prompts to update as it is the initial MM 6.0 to start. Then it may update a 2nd time. It is sense 7 and android 6 Marshmallow. It is EU vsn. Don't know about other continents and carrier versions.

I could not flash it, TWRP print several errors.
I tried the TWRP-4.16.401.13.zip, TWRP sent me errors like : <Could not find "META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary" in the zip file>

I had to lock the bootloader, before flashing the zip file.
This flash is now installed (0PKVIM[email protected]60201_20.05_018_F_release_479349_combined_signed.zip), and it works.
This version is compatible with these CID :

The OTA will work.
How to do :
This flash is for
Firstly, charge the M8s to 100%.
1- Lock the bootloader, it became "RELOCKED".
2- With your PC, copy this zip file into an SD card, remane it : 0PKVIMG.zip (it starts with zero)
3- Insert the sd card into M8s and boot into bootloader,
4- It takes at least 10 minutes to finish the new flash.

I want to flash the same version too but when I relock the bootloader there is some bugs that make that the flash doesn't work. Please help.
