Greetings Everybody
the day i heard that 4.2.2 jelly bean came out for samsung galaxy grand ... i was
well...
i download and installed it successfully
( os 4.2.2 jelly bean official )
now ... the problem
rooting part >.<
i success started odin and rooted the device as usual
well ... odin says "pass"
now ... when i try to enter CWM using ( volume+ and power key with home button ) -- my device screen goes black and it just restart again and then boot normally, cwm is not booting and stock is not booting aswell.

You need to flash, fix-recovery.zip to give proper permissions to the recovery after you flash it through Odin

2nd ... ok i saw your tutorial and hmmm ... lets say ... i stuck on step 7
which as i said ... i just cant boot into CWM recovery .... so basically ... i cant flash the recovery.zip file cuz CWM not opening

Im glad that you found a solution. Im facing the same problem. So can you please mention what special edition of cwm or it would be much better if you could post the link

THANK U SO MUCH FOR REPLYING and i installed another firmware and still the same problem can u give me the link of your firmware and i thank u so much because i installed 2 firmware and nothing changed i cant open cwm after flashing it if you can help me with giving me the link of the firmware that you installed i will be so thanks full but plz help because i need root so much and if u have whatsapp or kik anything to connect with you will be better

ehhh ... nvm ... i am getting the same error over and over again and i guess ... i did not find any solution yet ... tho 3 times worked for me with luck >.> ... here is what exactly is happening to me:-

Hey!,
I would like to inform you that if some have problem in rooting then it must be that he or she must have updated grand duos .
So here are few steps I would like to suggest :
* Download the files from the attachments and extract them as mentioned in the post :

!!Note :I would like to inform here that take the recovery .tar file from here according to your firmware (4.1.2 or 4.2.2) :
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2315529) as said by Mohanshshr.!!
* Switch off your phone and boot into download mode (vol down + home + power) and press vol up to proceed
* Open odin in pc and and click on PDA
* Locate the you extracted from the CWM touch zip and click open
* Make sure only 'Auto reboot' and 'F.Reset Time' is checked . **
* Click start once complete odin should say 'PASS' and your phone will reboot
* Copy the Supersu zip file into your external sd card.
* Now switch off your phone and boot into recovery mode (vol up + home + power)
* Now select install zip from sd card -> Choose zip from sd card
* Now locate the supersu zip file and click install
* Now CWM will install the zip
* Samsung devices come with a special flash counter that tracks the no. of times you flash custom roms and zips.
* If you wish to reset the flash counter back to original Download triangle away app by chainfire and hit reset counter.
!!Note: If it doesn't show cwm by pressing vol up + home + power that try steps again and add this step to the above step :
** Uncheck the Auto-Reboot check box then after the odin says "PASS" remove your battery directly.
Try to go to CWM by volume up+power+home buttons. !!
** - Indicates additional info. is below in note.

NEED FAST REPLY
I rooted my Galaxy grand duos 2 days before and 1 hrs before i downloaded Font changer app from Google play store and install it.Download a font from google.I install that font and it get installed and it show a msg that you need to restart in order to apply the change.I reboot my phone.It rebooted normally but got struck at logo part.I wait more than 30 mins but still not loading up.Struck at Logo screen of samsung......when i search in internet i understand that it is called bootloop.. so i follow a video and go to recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset.and reboot no use.Then i wipe cache partition but a error msg showing rebooting to logo screen again...
i need to know:
1) My phone become bootloop or brick?
2) How can i solve this problem?
Plz reply fast....i am new to this..

If wipe data/factory reset didn't solve the issue flash stock ROM through ODIN.

Open odin, there you will see PDA. click on PDA, and select your official stock rom tar file. Hit start.. And you will get stock rom. Heres a video for it. Follow the steps in video

I solved my problem by changing rom.I changed my rom to custom rom...so now its working perfectly.
I am using Spice Dream Uno. I decided to install cm11 sprout ROM but it says that it is a bad zip. Then i tried this

solution for bad zip :
fine.. u must hav unlocked bootloader, rooted and custom recovery like cwm 6.0.4.x..
if its ok then verify your downloaded zip
..
this can be done by double clicking it on windows or in your mobile use file explorer..
if the zip contains meta-inf folder, system, boot. img.. then your download was good.. otherwise re download it..
solution for boot stuck :
did u replace oem and boot logo of mmx with spice?
try it and report..
or just flash the oem nd boot logo alone

I Replaced boot logo and Oem but still I Stuck on Boot Animation of Spice.
I Really don't know much about this phone. Please tell me a Working Method to solve my issue.
I want my Phone Working only. No Matter how but need it badly.

check if recovery is working or flash a custom recovery via fastboot and do three wipes..
and did u just flashed the oem nd logo or the complete rom? if not, try flashing the complete ROM with replaced files

after flashing rom ur oem gets locked.. if u have already unlocked, now root the mob again...
if that isn't the prob, as i already said, verify your file in memory card if it s properly downloaded nd copied

its properly downloaded and copied but it is not flashable.
you simply tell me that which stock rom can i use to make my phone working.

well the cwm currently does not support flashing zip from sd card.. try adb side load if u hav unlocked bootloader and rooted..
if u don't want to do adb sideload, try flashing philz cwm.. its working perfectly..

After factory reset the data on normal settings mode it wiped everything including cm 14.1 rom now it's not installing any custom rom 14.1 through twrp so guys pls help me out. What's the solution for this?
apply update / ROM through ADB in recovery mode
or if you have it on your SD CARD you can apply update through SD CARD.

Download this file, M_BL_upgrade_for_zf2_551ml_6.0.zip
And run Upgrade.bat with your phone connected in fastboot/bootloader mode.
And then boot to Recovery, then try again to install any Custom ROM.

It's not working bro... Wat 2 do.... Installing every rom suitable for zenfone 2 but it's not installing any os ..
