Hey folks,
Just to let you know that the camera2 API is giving you a scrambled preview callback* on the latest Oxygen OS nougat 4.0 stable release. This happens only if 4:3 aspect ratio is used, not when using 16:9. We experienced this problem on multiple devices here in our office, no matter if OP3 or OP3T.
* Not the preview in the screen is wrong, but the byte[] array given back as a callback. Apps can use this to do image processing etc.

There is also now a One Plus bug report for this. Initially this post here was created because we weren't able to tell OP about it, now that we were able to, this thread might could be deleted. https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...-preview-scrambled-when-using-camera2.485564/

Hi all,
I was getting fed up of the dreadful looking Snap camera and didn't want to use any launcher other than the Pixel launcher.
Thought I'd share my modified APK's with everyone else.
I've changed the icons on the Snap camera (Pulled from djeman's Lineage OS 14.1) and Google Camera 2.7 from APKMirror. (Both files attached)
Here's some screenshots:

Well, I don't know why I'm replying to a three year old post in the first place. The reason I'm here for is for the lens blur/live focus/portrait/bokeh mode. But unfortunately, it doesn't work on my J3(SM-j320G). Yes, I know it's meant for SM-J320FN, but no harm to try right? OK, back to searching...

:fingers-crossed::good:
Tried it on my moto g5. There's a significant amount of difference in colors while turning on HDR when compared with the built in camera.
Doesn't take video! On 8.1 Can you fix that?

I wanted to try this Google Camera mod, mostly works fine except for HDR+ . When I change in setting "Config camera HDR+" from None to any of them I get colored, mostly green dashes in the viewfinder, and red and blue dashes in the taken pictures.

why are you posting in a new thread here? there's a thread for this mod , post your issue there, and with log.
Close This thread, you should post this in Gcam thread or create a thread in Questions.
Hey everyone,
I noticed a while ago that certain images across multiple apps appear pixelated/blocky/jaggy in all the Pie ROMs that I've used (Semi-GSI back in August, Pixel Experience, Havoc, etc.) Does anyone else have this problem? It's not a big one, but it's odd that this never happened in Oreo ROMs. It can somewhat be fixed by going into developer options and changing the renderer mode to something else before returning to the default option, but it's not perfect and I have to do this every reboot. Attached image shows an example in the Discord app, where server icons (among many other UI elements) have the problem.
This issue apparently also happens on the Mi A2 Pie update.

My phone is a Redmi Note 5 Ai running on stock MIUI 10.3.1. The vignetting looks like this

Both stock camera and all gcam ports experience this. On gcam, it affects how lowlight photos are processed. The parts of the image that fall under that vignetting become very grainy. Is there a way to fix this? Like a magisk module perhaps?
For reference, this is from a whyred without the vignetting. It's an Indian variant running on some custom rom.
Apparently, you just have to flash a zip file named TWRP+v2.002a+(Custom+9.0-fw+9.0)+FIX+Fv1.0s if you're on a custom ROM and MYVERSION-TWRP+v2.002a+(Miui+10-fw+9.0)+FIX+Fv1.0s if you're on stock. You can download them on this channel MOD EDIT: Telegram Link Removed
