I noticed with the new January update that when I unlock my hidden system ui settings that it does not have an option to rearrange the nav bar buttons? Does anyone know why or another way to rearrange these buttons?
You were on a custom ROM/using a mod pack before. There is a mod pack in the themes section! Also weta rom will be updated tomorrow as said by the dev!

Did you hit the "pencil" button? That allows me to rearrange icons.

That option is not available normally. It requires SystemUI.apk to be modified to add the option back.

Hello!
Is there a way to toggle on and off the top status bar? Either an app or a hack or anything like that?
anyone? pretty please?
You can do this with certain home launchers, I know its a feature in NOVA.
Like the guy above me said, it all depends on what launcher you are using. With ADW Launcher I know there is a setting that lets you do it.

What about the soft keys?

Soft keys can't be hidden with a launcher (that I'm aware of), and require a custom ROM. A number of the custom ROMs allow you to add a toggle for the soft keys to the power menu for easy access - such as AOKP.

Yup, AOKP is excellent in that you can toggle the nav bar/soft keys from your power menu. When you combine it with an app like LMT that allows gesture control (or the even better pie control) the whole navigation experience is next level.
Thanks for the launcher suggestion but that will only hide the status bar when you're on your home screens, it reappears when you're in an app.
What I want is to be able to hide the notification bar when I'm in an app like Docs to Go or Kingsoft Office, maximising my horizontal space.
Use nova launcher for top.
Flash aokp for bottom. I do both everyday.
Yup, Nova will do it on your homescreen and dock, but is there anything that can do it within an app?
You may try use ApexLauncher,It had a very powerful function.
Anyway to customize the navigation bar. Like put back the "legacy" search button and permanent menu button?

As the title would suggest, I've found some Xposed based Nav Bar changes but mainly to the style of the buttons, I'm looking for something which has DPI changes (tweak box doesn't work for me with this function)....also something that adds a fourth button.
thanks

I'm not sure if I'm on the same page as you but you can change and add 5 soft keys (navigation buttons?) under Settings, Display and Home touch buttons.. Then Button combination. Here you can drag buttons and rearrange your nav bar. .. Sorry if this is not what you're looking for
:good:
Is there a way to change the Navigation Buttons layout? I'm used to having the back button on the left. TIA!

Cool, thanks! Can't believe they have mirrored as default.
It's the "classic layout" of the buttons. Also today it's still the "Samsung layout".
I've been using Samsung devices so long that it's the layout I'm used to and I get confused when the Back button is on the left.
hi, if someone is using DU (pixel 3 in particular) can confirm if it is possible to center clock and show date in status bar?
and is it possible to someway assign actions like "show volume panel", "show power menu", "expand notification panels", "kill foreground app" with long press back button etc etc to navbar gestures?
or if not, is possible to show old navbar style instead of using new gestures and assign such actions to virtual navbar buttons?
tia!

Center clock? Wouldn't the notch hide it? edit: NVM realised it's for Pixel 3. Yes you can center it as far as I know. And yes, you can use Smartbar (legacy navbar kind of)
