Just picked up this device second hand and I want to know if there's a root for PK1. I know there's root for older mm versions but I'm not sure about PK1. If you know anything about root for this version please let me know!
mines is rooted. i use the same methods from the previous versions, no difference. i recommend using odin v3 10.06. and use twrp 3.0.01. Here is a link below to guide you, once you follow the instructions you are home free. GL!

So you're telling me you tried this on PK1 and you got a successful root? I want to try it myself but I need to know that first. If you used this method to root pk1 then hell yeah I'll give it a shot! Thanks for the reply ~

Tried searching the forums but couldn't really find anything on this. I have the most updated firmware for my GS3, PALG8. Is the root method the same as it is for LG6 and lower or do I have to wait for someone to come out with a root method for this version?

Hi guys
Been a while since I've been on the forum.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 - Tmobile and tripped the knox protection.
The issue I'm having is that I keep on loosing root after reboot.
This is the specs of the phone as is:
Model - GT - I9505G
Android 4.4.2
Baseband - M919UVUEMK2
Kernel [email protected] #1
Build KOT49H.08.19.2014
My phone is acting funny (loosing signal, no satelite connection on gps) so I need to root again and install a new rom and kernel. maybe update the modem.
I'm using windows 8.
Please advice where to take it on the next step.
Thank you
Update to the NH7 bootloader. Or at least reflash the stock MK2 firmware and root with CF auto root

You have a i9505G......You need firmware for that device. Not M919........
And what do you mean "loose root"? What method did you root with? I hope it was for the i9505G......

When I checked my phone now, looks like I have M919 Galaxy S4
Not sure, than maybe I've installed the wrong firmware?
Loosing root, meaning that I root the phone, than when I check it after a while is not rooted anymore.
I'll fallow this instructions and maybe that will fix it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/help/nb4-to-nh7-firmware-upgrade-via-odin-t2880284

I was thinking to go with the other one ))
I fallowed the guide there and installed M919UVUFNH7_M919TMBFNH7_M919UVUFNH7_HOME.tar.md5
Now on start, was thinking to let the phone sit a little bit, but I am getting " Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" multiple times. Like a lot of times and I keep on hitting ok.
Any idea why? Is that ok?
Should I just move on np?

Ok, I deeply apologize if I missed it somewhere but I have searched high and low for clear cut instructions to get TWRP installed on the Verizon G Pad. (VK810) I am already rooted. If someone could link to the thread that I missed somewhere or give me the instructions that would be great. Thank You. I know there are not a lot of ROM's but i just want to get split screen viewing mode enabled, and i need TWRP for that. Thanks

Towelroot worked fine for me. There's a thread for it, and it is WORK, but it can be done. I will have to wait until I get home to find and link the thread for you though. VK810, Version VK81011A, 4.2.2.

I can upload everything to either, with very simple instructions, or if you tell me where you want it, I'll get it there. I'll even zip the whole thing and email it to you if it'll help.

anyone else get the prompt to update the software? are you going to update?

Same and same
probably too early to know, does anyone know if this update will affect root? coming from htc, i remember updates were frowned upon as they can make rooting more difficult.

Here you go.. Make sure you substitute the Verizon firmware for the AT&T firmware as @TechNyne66 said, the OGG firmware.. As long as it's firmware from AT&T you should be good to go.. However if it still errors out and doesn't work that means they (AT&T) have blocked it and you'll have to enter into recovery and select full system restore in order to fix it and get it back to where it is right now.. I'd first make a backup if I were you!!

If you are past the the PH4 update this is not the thread for you.
If you are still on PH4, stop trying to downgrade your bootloader, unless you are flashing a Binary 3 bootloader.
All of this has been explained within this forum. Check my profile and go to my posts. I've already wrote it all up two or three times...
