LG G3 BootLoop - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone .. i know you've faced alot of topics with the same name but somehow i find mine different ..
Months ago when i use the phone much it gets laggy then it shuts down .. i thought it was normal due to overheating issues
then month ago it went totally off .. not turning on back as i used to .. so i searched online i came with 2 solutions :
1)might be software related
2)BATTERY
so i went to a repairing shop and he flashed a stock marshmallow .. then the phone worked for 1/2 day then it stucked at bootloop again
so i went back and changed the battery .. that worked for 2 days but it was draining fast so i replaced another which lasted 1/2 day before going bootloop again ..so i refund.. i searched again and found the paper trick and copper wire trick and the paper didn't work for me .. but i go from the wire topic that he measured the voltage of the battery and noticed it wasn't 3.8v so i went to measure mine (the one which came with the phone) and it was fine .
so if anyone knows how to get over this please help me.
Thanks

Was your battery officially made by LG? Is it the same model?
When you bought the new battery.. Did you first empty it (0% exactly) And then recharge it to 100% and leave it closed for about 10-15 minutes?
If the battery is officially made by LG and has the same Model name on it,then have you ever dropped the phone?
Greetings.

im 100% sure that the battery i bought at first wasn't the original battery .. neither the 2nd they replaced as they looked like this:

and yes i emptied it and recharge it to 100% but it didn't take the whole cycle until it happened again and bootloop started

I think it's because the batteries that you have are made in 2014.
The new battery that i recently received is made in 2016 and i don't have any problems at all.
Maybe 2014 batteries have that bootlooping problem.

Defy battery temperature

Hey guys!
Today I charged my Defy like every day. I woke up in the morning and it had only 6% of battery left despite it was connected to the charger. I grabbed it to reconnect it to the charger and it was hot like hell and the touchscreen was unresponsible.
After pulling the battery i took a look at the Battery Monitor Widget logfile and it showed some crazy stand by drain of up to 350 mA/h and temperatures of 60°C.
I really don't know if I should charge it again now because i don't want that my phone takes damage due to a broken battery.
Any suggestions? Should i charge it again and check the temp?
Here is a screenshot of the Battery Widget logfile:

Wonder if this is widespread?... I called t mobile about my phone rebooting itself and dying so quick that they quickly ordered me a battery and said if the new one works I can send the old one back or even keep it... got an extra battery yet to try...
Does get hot... hottest mine registered was about 41c... 60c ish quite hot for a phone... even battery? lol...
Edit: sorry sloppy grammar, yet I edit saying so lol.
were you using the official charger? might be unrelated but I used to keep a cheap charger at work for my phone, worked well for all my old phones but with this one the screen becomes unresponsive when its plugged in. Ive tried two cheap ones now and they are both the same but with the official one or my old HTC one its fine

Hi! I have the same problem with you with high temperatures and sudden drain.. But this happens not all the time. So sometimes my phone will stay awake for 3-4 days without charging, or have a problem like yours and 3-4-5 hours after charging it's battery it's almost empty....
If you have found a solution and/or you can just tell me if it is hardware issue or software, I would be gratefull to you!
Thanks!

Galaxy S3 AT&T Battery Going Crazy

Hey all,

This started happening out of nowhere, a couple months back. My phone will lose battery at an incredibly fast rate, then swoop back up (without being plugged in), then fall, etc etc until it hits 0%. I can then turn it back on and it says 50% or what have you, and the same process repeats. These are the things I've tried:
1. Bought a new ZeroLemon battery because I thought my battery might be broken. All this served to do was increase the number of swoops. The battery still barely lasts half a day.
2. Cleaned the contacts of the battery and on the phone.
3. Installed all kinds of battery helpers and battery recalibration apps. Here's a screenshot of an app telling me, after I charged the phone to 100% (with a separate battery charger so I know it was at 100%).
It appears the phone is just reading the battery incorrectly. Not only does it report 60% but it also reports 3800 mV, which a fully charged battery should be around 4200 or 4300 correct?
4. Now here's the weird one: I blew on the contacts. This made things work better for a week or two. The new battery lasted about 3 days, which I thought was pretty good. Now it's back to where it was again.
It seems like I've tried just about everything, and it's a problem with the phone. Only problem is, as you can see, I have CM installed and the phone is over a year old, so any kind of warranty is long bye bye. Any suggestions my fellow S3 owners? I've tried googling this problem everywhere and it seems I'm the only one with it.
Thanks so much

I'm not sure exactly how to fix your problem, but just wanted to state that battery helping apps and calibration apps are bogus, they serve no purpose!

Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT P5210 turning off problem

Hi, I have problem with my Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 gt p 5210.
Tablet without noticeable reason began randomly shut down by itself.
Sometimes in an hour goes off 5-6 times, and sometimes working 5-6 hours without turning off.
Tablet can not be sent to the service because it was purchased abroad.
On it is the original untouched Android 4.2.2.
I tried a factory reset and re-flash with the latest android from sammobile.com , but it didn't help.
Does anyone has a similar problem or solution.
Thanks in advance
battery terminal
I seen a post somewhere, and for the life of me I can't find it again. But anyway, the dude dis-assembled his 5210, and secured the battery terminal (apparently Samsung omitted this step on several tab 2 10.1's.... and now the tab 3 10.1's are having the same issue.) I did downloaded the pics in case I ever needed to do this myself. Here's a link to my Dropbox
duh.. I found the original post...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593766
i have the same issue. i want to open the back cover of my tab 3 10.1 to secure the battery connections. it annoys me a lot.
It is a Samsung product. Should not make a difference what country you purchased it in. If you have the original receipt you should still get warranty repair. But if you feel that the solution is in the discussion above, then by all means check that first. Just be careful not to damage your tab. Good luck and please do follow up on what you found.
im having this same exact problem i opened up the tablet but which cable is the one that needs to be secured? Will it be obvious that it is loose all of the connections on mine seem to be secure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is the battery connector. Its very easy to fix. I purchased one for my son last Christmas and to my luck it started shutting down randomly, I opend the table using a credit card to pry open the case from the screen. I PLACED TWO BAND AIDS CRIS CROSSING ON TOP OF THE BATTERY CONNECTOR, ITS FIXED. TRY IT

Remove the battery from the connector and re solder six pins of the black connector on main board will fix it permanently.
Bring it to a repair shop or anyone knows how to solder, it takes only under 5 minutes

[Q] Very strange battery behavior.

Hi all... first post, first problem with android... and hopefully a long time here in xda!
So I have the T320 (8.4 pro) and I have a strange problem with my battery. Is not only that it lasts no more than 4 hours (screen), the problem come by low and high battery %.

By low, the table shuts down and after starting it again, it shows between 5 and 10% battery!!
Something similar happens by charging... it shows 90% and no change... and after a reboot it shows 100%.
Is my battery dying? Should I wipe and restart from zero? Cyanogen?
The speed how fast battery drains is also extreme compared to stand-by times... but I assume this is more or less a problem of this tablet.
Many thanks in advance!

Having similar issues. Found mine dead out of nowhere one day. Never had custom ROM on it. Did factory reset now it seems like it doesn't want to charge .... Charges VERY slowly if at all.
Sent from my SM-G900T using XDA Free mobile app
i have the same issue, dropped from 50 to 15 all of a sudden , will try calibration , anyone else noticed this ?i picked up mine used so unsure whats the issue
i found better battery life after i did a factory reset. i bought it new and set it up and since then had 1 Sammy update but last week i reset it and it clearly made a difference on my 10.1. yesterday i had 2 hours screen time and on battery for 2 day and some hours and had 60% left.
Add mine to the list....seems to be doing the same thing here. Haven't been able to sort it out yet.
Took the back off mine tonight and reseated the battery connector. Then charged like below. First to time in a while it charged up like this.
can you post a pic of videos of how to pry it open ? hopefully simple with a prying tool

I just very carefully went around it with one of those guitar like plastic openers i have laying around from the many tablet/phone repair kits i have used. I probably rebooted it 5 times before i finally popped it apart... thing just did not want to charge. This was the first time i saw it ramp up 1% at a time in a while. The other thing i noticed it was doing was jumping from ~70% to 100% instantly.... The graph showed it too. I didn't believe that was really happening.
some pics would help , is it between the screen and the metallic part or the back and the metallic part ?

Opened mine up because of the battery charging stalls and reseated my battery. I bought this tab 2 weeks ago used and this is the first time it has charged to 100 without me forcing it too! Its def worth doing if ur battery stalls!!

I suspect an app did this too. I was on cm when it started...others were stock. Chrome or some other common Google app put our tabs in a funky state.

Horrible Battery Life on Moto 360(1st Gen)

Hello,
I own a moto 360(2014) and I am barely able to get more than 6 hours of battery life.
Things I have tried to do :
Factory Resetting
Paring to different phones with different android versions
Using it just as a watch without bluetooth and Wifi

Guys Please help me..
Did this just start for you?
I've owned my watch for years, and last week suddenly started having issues. I can't help but wonder if there was a software change that is causing excessive drain.

Not really no.
I've not got any software update over a year I think.
The watch was off for a while, about a month.
But since then it's got really bad.
I've faced similar issues with android phones, where wiping the battery stats makes the battery life as good as stock. If there is a way to achieve this it would be the ideal solution.
Get your battery replaced. I did mine and now Im getting full day outof it compared to half day before.

Did you go to the service centre?
or purchased the battery online and fitted it from outside?
if you did purchase online a link would be helpful
I did get this battery some time ago on ebay. Im in uk. It wasnt genuine battery but VHBW brand which for my experience is reliable.
Replaced it by myself. There is some guide on the web for doing it. Hardest thing is to get back cover without breaking it. I actually broken my one being carefull, its so fragile.
after another phone side android wear update my battery life is back to normal. Off the charger at 7 AM, and at 7 PM I still have 40% left in the tank.

yes, now on 2.7.0.177669439
I've had these issues for about a year now. No updates have made a difference for me. It's not that my battery depletes quickly though, it's that the watch powers off with plenty of battery left and doesn't come back on until charged, usually at the 50-60% mark.
It's nearly 2pm here, been off the charger since maybe 8am, still at 69% battery but I bet it'll be gone in an hour or so.
Is it possible to get a custom ROM for these in case it's a software issue?
UPDATE: couple of minutes later, at 67% it has died.....
ht tps://ww w.youtu be.com/watch?v=wl61mDJlu9E
use this guide! Its so easy to replace the battery!
I also replaced my battery but I used this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1as_h5jnBM he explains very well and some steps explained poorly in the ifixit guide are shown here detailed. The hardest part is removing the backcover without cracking it. I failed and cracked mine but battery is perfectly fine now, for the cracked backcover there are some replacements for about 20€. However I own a 3D printer and will print me a new backcover by myself, I hope it will be fine, i will provide some pictures at the end of the week just in case someone is interested

Than try to replace it, if it's already dead you have nothing to lose except the 9€ you have to invest in a new battery
