My Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 4GB is unable to start. Once i press and hold the power button, it vibrates continuously and afterwards i tried to off it by pressing on the power button, the orange flash comes out for like 1~2 seconds and the vibration stopped. I am unable to even soft boot my phone or even go into the fast boot. Any advice?
Do you see the charging animation when the phone is connected to a wall charger? Could the battery be completely drained?

Hi,
I have a problem with my Xperia S.
My Xperia S wont turn on. Last time i found it working is when the alarm turned on and i shut the alarm off, then back to sleep.
After i woke up, the phone wont turn on. I've tried to push the power button + vol up , but still the phone do not turn on or restart.
Anyone have experience in this issue? I would be very grateful if anyone would give solution or recommendation.
Thank you!

Get flashtool and drivers plug phone into it and see if flashtool detects anything on it. If that don't detect it unplug.
Hold the up and down vol button and press power button and see if it vibrates or anything. If still nothing then get a t6 or t8 screw driver remove the back of it and remove the battery and get a ohmz meter on it and test the battery or connect to a battery tester. Sounds like battery dead on it.

Hi, was wondering if anyone else has/had similar issues?
Got the Galaxy Tab S today and was spending time setting it up. Connected to the PC and charge was at about 57%. Suddenly the window displaying tablet contents on the PC disappeared and the screen went black.
The power button didn't turn the screen back on. I held it down, thinking that it required a hard reset but nothing happened. I disconnected the tablet from my pc and went to use it's dedicated charger. The battery icon came up, stating it was 57% charge, and shortly after the LED light on the back of the tablet started flashing rapidly. I quickly took out the cable.
I've tried holding down the home key, volume down, and power button and nothing happens. I then tried the same and having a finger on the screen. Then I repeated the process again with the cable connected to the charger, and then computer.
No matter what I try, the device won't turn on and the LED keeps flashing repeatedly when connected with usb charging cable. I also tried using another cable.
I'm thinking of phoning up where I got it from tomorrow and asking for a replacement, unless there's something I'm missing here?
Any thoughts would be great, thanks.
My guess would be, you are not pressing the buttons correctly.

I tried that just now. Nothing happens.
How about pressing power, vol up and down, home huttons at the same time for 1 minute

That doesn't work either. The only response I get from the tablet is by plugging in the charging cable and then it goes on to display an epileptic inducing light show with the LED constantly flashing on and off

Never seen this problem before. Could be a bad partition making it not boot. Replacement may be your answer as its better to get a new one and be safe.

I've used various tablets before and never encountered any of them not booting at all. The led flashing business is very weird. I'll phone up the store I got it from and ask if I can get a replacement.
Thanks for the responses
Hi,
I've only had my Samsung Galaxy Tab S for a few weeks. Whilst on a plane the battery went to 0%.. no problem I thought as I'd simply charge it when I got to a power source.
However, when plugged in, nothing happens. No LED light, nothing on the screen. I've plugged it into a wall socket and via USB into a PC. I have held down the power button, home and volume down for a period of time, as well as just the power button and volume down.
Has my tablet gone kaput?
Cheers,
Titanium
I'd just let it charge for a while. It'll take a bit before it comes back to life if it was completely drained.
If you still don't get any response hold POWER + VOL DOWN.

Should it show any lights? It's as if it's not even charging at all.

Yeah, tried to hold it down. No LED lights and nothing shows on the tablet. It's as if it's just dead.

There are no leds.
I know someone else had the same problem. They used a different charger and it worked.
Try that first.

I had this problem.
You'll have to pry off the back cover, remove the wire that connects the battery to the motherboard. (A battery pull, basically).
Keep it off for 30 seconds. Then plug back in.
Use ifixit for details about opening. Feel free to ask for more help.
Try this one.
1) connect the tab to PC
2) press Home, Vol Down and Power simultaneously up to a screen appears;
3) press Vol Down to cancel and reboot the tablet.
John.
Now there are a few things you can try...
First check your charging port for any dust or any foreign particle. There has to be a small gap between the base of the charging port, and the small slab above it. Carefully, using a board pin, try and push that slab a bit up, don't apply too much pressure, just enough to make it move slightly!
This can happen sometimes if you drop your phone.
Next, make sure your charger, and the USB cable are working fine.
Also tell me if you have any Xposed module for your battery installed on your phone!

Thanks so much for that.
This morning, I plugged my tablet in to AC charge before leaving for the day -- battery was at ~30% and all was well. This evening, I came home and the tab was stuck at a weird Samsung logo -- not the normal boot with colored ovals, but the logo surrounded by a moving star field, never seen before, and could not get the tab to respond, turn off, do anything. Tried many wacky suggestions found on the intertubes to stop/start it, including holding power plus touching the screen for > 30 seconds, none of which worked. Never would have thought your suggestion for download mode would work, but it did on the very first try.
I'd like to know how the tab got into that state, and what that star field logo is about. But at least it's working again, for now.
Thank you.
That's the normal lollipop boot screen.
Hi,
While using my M8 all of a sudden the screen froze and after few secs the phone went blank.
Since then there is no response at all, only LED blinks(Red for few secs) sometimes when connected to a power source.
I've tried all the Power and Vol Button combos, nothing seems to work .
There is no vibration too.
When connected to PC it says"Qualcomm H-USB".
The phone is rooted.
Any suggestions or workarounds???
Thanks in advance!
Regards.
Try leaving the phone on a wall charger for several hours. Then try holding power+vol up for a minute or more (folks often don't realize they need to hold the button combo for so long in some conditions). Try it with and without the charger connected.
If still no response from the phone, you my have a hardware failure. Its getting more common as this phone ages.

Yesterday, while charging my Asus Zenfone 2, it suddenly powered off.
now the phone is not turning on, no vibration, no light nothing.
I tried to switch it on by pressing the power button for more than 15 seconds.
i tried the same by pressing the power button and the volume buttons. but it still did not turn on.
The phone is not even showing any light while charging and is not even vibrating while trying to charge and turn on.
Can anybody tell me what the issue is?

it doesn't matter it has vibration or not! if detected as moorefield in device manager after pressing power button. what is battery voltage?
