How to relock bootloader and reset tamper/unlock flags? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I have just updated to Android 7. Can someone please point me to a guide on how to achieve this on my one plus 3? Thanks
Sent from my 1+3

There are no tamper flags on this device.
Don't relock the bootloader if you're not on the stock ROM and stock recovery
There's a guide on how to do this on the forums

If anybody interested to know the outcome of this, as I already had stock kernel and recovery I only had to issue the lock cmd in fastboot. In the process, that seems to factory reset the device too.

type the command in the adb terminal
fastboot oem lock
this will wipe everything on your phone (basically factory reset it ) and you should stop receiving the message.
P.S= use this command only if you're on stock recovery and stock OS.

Where to get the stock recovery and stock OS for OP3? I'm currently on Experience Rom OS 4.0.3. Thanks in advance

Search on XDA forums. There is a thread for stock ROM n recovery with download links.

The flaw works by sending a proprietary, hidden fastboot command: fastboot oem 4F500301. By sending this command, the user’s bootloader lock state is bypassed (even when “Allow OEM Unlocking” has not been enabled in Developer Settings). The device does not prompt the user nor does it wipe the device as it should be – in fact, the device will still report that the bootloader is locked! Another fastboot command, fastboot oem 4F500302, will reset some bootloader settings, and can be used to lock an already unlocked device.

Ruturning GNex Verizon back to stock for repair?

Hi,
I have to send my GNex to verizon as they are sending me a replacement.
I had unlocked the bootloader and installed CM10 on it.
I just installed the stock ROM which I had made an image of before installing CM10.
Now when I run the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit v7.8.0 I don't see 4.2.2 "JDQ39" built number as an option.
Without that option I don't know which option to choose to lock the bootloader.
Is my current ROM official Verizon ROM, Pls see attached pic.
Also can I use "NEXUS ROOT TOOLKIT" BY Wugfresh and click "Flask stock + Unroot" followed by OEM Lock??
Please let me know.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

To lock the boot loader just boot to it and do "fastboot oem lock" from connected PC. If I was sending my phone back I would do "fastboot -w" wipe, install factory Rom image via fastboot along with a radio image and factory recovery, then finally do "fastboot oem lock", box it up with some used tampons padding and send it on its way for refurbish redirection.
This is IMO much more reliable and easier than toolkits. I would search for a fasboot back to stock guide for the few fastboot commands I forgot as well as links to factory images.

I was following instructions from here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
The problem was with bootloader and adb drivers what couldn't be configured correctly.
Since I am short of time I am going with Nexus Root Toolkit by Wugfresh.
It will work out hopefully,
Thanks.

maybe the problem is when we twrp 3.0.2.0-1 i did mount system and get a full wipe and later flash stock with lgup and now can not install twrp anymore
It seems that you did not enable usb debug in Settings>General>Dev options.
If you did try another usb cable and at last try from another pc.
I also recommend Ubuntu Linux to FastBoot an Android device.

Back again in the world of root phone
1) downgrade to kdz v10b with lgup
2)http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772. After this again not see my phone rooted.
3) now i have using this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/...-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765/ now see my phone rooted.
4) install flashify from play store and flash twrp.
5) downloads flashable zip v20d or v20g and supersu and flash from twrp and now I'm going to flash a custom rom based on stock.

Question about flashing image with fastboot

I'm going to be exchanging my pixel and getting another one. Just curious so I know for the future.. if I flash the full factory image via fastboot does that relock the bootloader? I'm gonna guess that it doesn't but just wanna make sure.
New to adb and fastboot so I've been reading around like crazy trying to learn. Is the only way to lock again to use the actual lock command in fastboot?
Edit: I'm referring to using the flash-all.bat script
Yes, you will have to re-lock the bootloader. Do it with fastboot in the bootloader.
Although, you don't have to re-lock the bootloader before sending your phone back... Especially since it will have the stock image flashed to it.

No. Flashing the factory image does not relock the bootloader. After you have successfully rebooted, return to the bootloader and use the command: fastboot oem lock

Right click the flash-all script, and choose edit (or something like that) from the drop down menu. In the last line where it says "fastboot -w update..." delete the "-w". Then just use this flash-all.

Correct. Let me ask you, do you have any modifications to your Pixel? Root, TWRP, custom kernel? If not, you'd be better off with ADB sideload.

I am using the stock XT1681-XT1683_POTTER_BRASIL_latam_MEXICO (NPNS25.137-15) and following all the commands and in the end returns the message (still requires signed boot.img) will it be due to my device being Brazilian?

broken TWRP Recovery and locked bootloader

Hello guys, I'm on LineageOS. I want to go back to Oxygen OS. But I can't because of my locked bootloader.
I did try to connect with the pc via adb: "Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and it's says everytime bootloader is locked enable OEM. I know the OEM is in the Developer Options but not for me. It's not available.
What to do now?
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
It will wipe all of your data.

Yes, that means it's not enabled in developer options.
Now you say you don't have that OEM option available in the developer options - are you sure you've turned developer options on? If not do as @gorillaCF says above.
If you have done that and still don't have the option then back everything up, do a factory reset and try again immediately after that.

do that.
LineageOS 15.1 doesn't have the OEM unlock feature. Normally, if you temper with the system and lock the bootloader it won't boot at all making this option useless. At least that's what I've experienced. As others stated you can only use the unbrick tool which will definitely work or contact OnePlus for an L2 technician who will use the same tool to do so.
So how did you do this? Did you do "fastboot oem lock" with TWRP and LineageOS on the device?

Why the hell LineageOS 15.1 don't have the OEM unlock? This makes no sense, because now I have a big problem.
Yeah, the unbrick tool I'm lucky but for the others with different devices will not have this unbrick tool. That's very stupid. It will be last time for me, with LineageOS.

Normally, it is impossible to lock it without fastboot. Again, it's not LOS's fault. You should never lock your bootloader if on a custom ROM or modified system. I've been running LOS 15.1 for almost a week and never had such an issue.

Sorry sir, but the factory Images means stock ROM and stock recovery.
Can't flash both
Why there is no backdoor for this situation? Why is this not possible, that you need by Factory images no unlocked bootloader. That would fix many problems.
