We need the source code for the camera right? Can't we get the source code from the camera app in Fire OS... and use that source code for roms?

I downloaded from dev***er.htc.com the following:
HTC Wildfire - Froyo MR - 2.6.32 kernel source code
i think this is only the kernel source code, can anyone confirm that?
Where i can find the full source code for the htc wildfire? is possible?
I need to rebuild a source code with some patch for the wildfire, if I use the google generic one:
$ repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git -b android-2.3.4_r1
is then possible to flah the wildfire? or i need the nexus one (developer terminal)?

The full source code of the original HTC Wildfire ROM is not (and will most likely never be) available.
They only release the kernel source code because they're legally bound to do it by the Linux kernel license.
I know Motorola opens Defy's kernel source code on sourceforget.
But I can't find any README or INSTALL documents on source code.
How to build Defy's kernel from source??
I doubt they did, and I doubt it is possible to use this kernel.

I have found the source code for my light sensor (AS3676) from the chip manufacturer. I once compared the source code of the chip manufacturer with the source code of the Sony - partially differences. Now, my question - can the source code from chip manufacturer on my Arc kernel can be compiled?(think is a stupid question...)
Or give it some arc Kernels (for ics) that always do?

That because like all oem rooms the source is not open. Only the kernel source has to be open and available
What are you looking for? CM Team and TheMuppets have vendor blobs and QCom Common stuff, as well as device config info to compile your own ROM.
Hi all out there.
I just extracted the kernel source code of Samsung Galaxy A80 (SM-A805F/DS) with ROM Base: A805FXXU4BTC3, and I pushed it on Github.
It took few days to upload it because it almost had a 70,000+ files and roughly 1.3GB+ all files.
I made it as public repository and uses GPL 3.0 LICENSE(which is recommended by samsung open source) to make it easy to fork/modify and clone it.
Kernel Source Code is Under GPL 2.0 LICENSE

No, this is still Android Pie based. Samsung Open Source still not providing source code for Android 10, but soon they will release it just don't worry, if the samsung will release I'm gonna pull those new things to github. Gonna update you if I pulled the Android 10 source code to github.
