No LTE Advanced after converting to US firmware - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Hello guys,
Yesterday I converted my HTC 10 Taiwan to US unlocked firmware in order to use Nougat. I used sunshine s off and an stock room from HTC in RUU format.
All is working as expected however in an area with LTE Advanced coverage I don't see the 4G+ icon nor LTE + in the About section, network type in phone settings as with the Taiwanese rom. Here we use band 7 and 28 for LTE advanced and both bands are supported by all variants of HTC 10.
I know US rom uses another pack of icons for network type so maybe it's a cosmetic issue.
Which icon should I see when phone is in LTE advanced? The same as LTE (4G LTE) or something else?
How can I know if my phone is using LTE advanced technology?
Thank you guys.

Hi guys,
I'm going to simplify the question. The US version when in LTE carrier aggregation coverage, does it show a different icon than the regular 4G LTE indicator?
Thank you.

I have an EU device and it shows the 4G icon. In favor of nougat I decided to convert it to US unlocked. I got the 4g/lte icon for 4G and the 4G icon for H+.
Hope that helps.

Yes, I saw the same behavior however I'm asking for LTE Advanced or LTE aggregation. With Taiwanese rom the icon changed to 4G+ however with US rom in the same area the icon stayed as 4G LTE so my question is if US rom has an special icon to indicate that it's using LTE advanced.

Using Motorola XT 926 Verizon on LTE 4G network

Hello i have a Motorla Razr XT926 Verizon ( this was designed to also be used on the LTE network 4G on Verizon
Im in the Uk and have a 4G LTE simcard the network is EE Orange and T-Mobile
It automatically goes on 2g & 3G H+
however does not allow the 4G gsm simcard to provide a the 4G network. I want to confirm that its not my provider as If I put this in another 4G handset the LTE nework is 4 to 5 bar signal strength
I have been in network work settings selected global & also GSM/UMTS and done a manual network search no 4G is to be found
I have contacted Motorola who advise that possibly it does not work on GSM simcards only on CDMS
Is there anyway of providing a solution to allow the LTE 4G to be used I presume something to do with the hardware ?
Please expalin in simple form
Many thanks
Neil

[Q] sm-t807t how to detect whether it is on LTE band 12

I just got my sm-t807t and have a t-mobile usa data plan. It is showing 4g lte on the status bar and I am very happy with the wwan performance. But is there some type of hidden menu or engineering menu to see what LTE band the tablet is connected to?
One of the reasons to buy this tablet was that it is supposed to support the new and very fast Band 12 LTE deployments of t-mobile usa. I am in NYC most of the time. I would like to know whether I am hitting this band or still on the older LTE band.
The LTE discovery app was no help as it does not show the lte band number. I am on stock 5.0.2 rooted.

4g

I have a HTC One M8, t-mobile, rooted ,s-on , unlocked sim , new sim for 4g ...but I don't have 4g, only 2g, what should I do ... I live in europe albani
You should find out what frequency bands your carrier uses and match that up with what your phone has.
Chances are you have a phone that does not support your carriers 4g bands and its reverting back to the more basic 2 g stuff.

LTE-Advanced Indicator?

Hi,
I have LTE-A on Vodafone UK but am not seeing an indicator change on the status bar. On my previous phone, it said 4g+. Within settings in the 5X, there is the option of 4G only. Have Google bundled LTE-A into 4G and don't have a separate setting? I am getting d/l speed of 12mbps which doesn't seem LTE-A to me.
Thanks in advance.

Does the 5X support all the LTE bands used by Vodafone UK?
Yes apparently so. Vodafone uses B20
I still don't have the 5x, but I remember the nexus 5 not showing H+ icon, only the H, and in settings->info you could see if it was HSPDA or HSPDA+. Maybe it's the same with 4g/4g+?

after a month with the phone, I've been in places were lte-A was avaible (confirmed with some 110-150mbps speedtests), but even in settings->info it was showing just "4G"
I believe there's no way to tell if you're on LTE-A network

No actual LTE or 4G just 4G Showcase (Icon)

Hi everyone.
I'm using T-Mobile LG G3 D851 right now. I upgraded via OTA method few days ago. I noticed a bug or what I should say I don't know. LG G3 D850 have LTE feature. When I set network mode to AUTO GSM/WCDMA/LTE, it shows 4G when I turn on Mobile Data. I checked the About Phone section and also checked Network State. In network state, I always find Mobile network type showing HSPA or HSPAP. I never found LTE. I contacted my Service Provider. They informed me that you've an LTE SIM card and you have full LTE Signal Strength in your are. Please anyone tell me, why I'm not getting LTE?
At first I got kind of confused. The 4G icon indicates LTE on stock ROMs. HSPA, however, indicates 3G. Here's the deal, the G3 phones are not equal. The D851 is a T-Mobile GSM phone. The D850 is also GSM I believe but for AT&T. They support different bands. Even though the phones and your SIM is LTE capable, that doesn't mean they both work the same on a given network. You're in Pakistan on the Zomg network. The D851 can't take advantage of the services there.
Screenshots below show that the D851 can't do LTE there but the D850 can. It's always best to check the bands a carrier uses and compare them with what a phone supports. GSMArena is a good place to check that.
You might be out of luck with the D851. Not sure.
@iamqaisarkhan, here's a list showing the LTE bands supported between the two phones. D850 supports more bands including the one used by your carrier.
