Had AOKP ICS.
Booted into CWM
Factory reset
Wiped cache
Formatted /system
wiped devlick (sp?)
Installed AOKP JB Build 4 and Gapps
Everything worked fine.
Phone running well.
Reboot phone.
Phone boots, goes into AOKP boot loader and promptly halts, phone reboots, now stuck at Google splash screen with unlocked boot loader icon.
Pull battery, reboot, same issue.
Boot into recovery
Can't flash backup.
Follow the above steps to re-flash:
Factory reset
Wiped cache
Formatted /system
wiped devlick (sp?)
Flashed AOKP JB Build 4
Flashed Gtools
Fixed permissions
Issue persists.
Still have ICS files on SD CARD
Follow above steps but this time I flash AOKP ICS.
SAME ISSUE! Boot loader for AOKP ICS halts and reboots.
/frown.

Thanks mate. I'm on GSM so... Didn't know that.
Edit: You got me thinking; So there's 2 radio partitions on toro? How does fastboot comply with that?

I don't know if this will help or not, nor do I know if this will help your situation. My phone was in the same state, boot loop hell! After doing the same processes you did I tried a fix permission and rebooted the phone. It worked! I can't reboot yet because I need to copy my files from my phone before moving forward with any trail and errors of rebooting, etc. I hope this helps you.

Hello.
I was running cm9 for a few months without problems. But since the update from Januari the 13th apps started crashing.. I then tried to completly reinstall (wipe everthing), but got stuck on bootloop. Then I thought lets try cm10, and also I get stock on the booting screen.
These are the steps I did.
Flashed LT26i_6.1.A.2.50_1257-5499_WORLD.ftf to go back to stock rom.
Went trough the wizard and all and let it settle down for a few minutes.
Shutdown.
Fastboot boot.img from FXP202-cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL-nozomi.zip
Fastboot reboot
Enter recovery
Flash rom FXP202-cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL-nozomi.zip
Flash gapps gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik
Reboot system
But it never boots, I get stuck on bootscreen (same procedure I did with CM9, but also got stuck on bootscreen),
What am I doing wrong?
Try doing full wipe and reinstall CM 10 as you did previously

I tried that too. Like this you mean
1. Fastboot boot.img
2. Fastboot reboot
3. Enter recovery
4. Factory reset
5. Wipe/format system, cache, data, dalvik
6. Install Rom zip
But then I get error and says installation aborted..

And take that cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL is CM 10.2 for such reason look for JB Gapps For Android version 4.1.2
I flashed the Rom very well, also the kernel. my problem were the Gapps. I see there that you do not have the correct gapp zip for cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL;This is CM 10.2 after installation and you need a 4.1.2 JB Gapps. Try and repeat the process.

I do have the correct gapps. This CM is android version 4.1.2. Here I downloaded the latest for CyanogenMod 10.0.x which is for android versions 4.1.x.
Anyway after a whole evening/night of flashing I finally managed to get it working via hei1125 cm10 version:
http://goo.im/devs/hei1125/nozomi
I dont know what I did to make it working again, but it does.. CM10 does look a lot nicer then CM9. Although I heard it has some bugs, which yet I still have to encounter..

I'm on the same problem. Use FXP201 instead or wait until 203... The cm10-fxp202 doesn't work on my device too. Same procedure as Yours or update from 201 to 202 - all will fail on (my) nozomi.

Hello,
I have a problem updating my nozomi (xperia s) to the newest cm version. I always get error 7 - some symlinks failed and i cant install an update without factory reset / wipe user data. After this step i can install the zip, but without wipeing, always the same error.
When i'm installing updates on my girlfriend's urushi (xperia ray), everything works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It's always recommend to wipe all (cache, davlink even system) then flash.
Be sure to mount system and then try.
And of course, check is you zip file o.k (maybe download again)
Even if you updating cm to new version it's best if you wipe.
I know that's lot of work, but only then you'll have good battery life, smooth and fast ROM and stability.

I had just the same problem today. I installed cm10 from recovery and did everything you did!!!!
What i did to solve this prblem is:
- Went into recovery.
- wiped cache and dalvik.
- flashed the latest CM10 (FXP215 to be precise) again!!
- flashed gapps again!!
- after flashing both zips I wiped dalvik and cache again.
- Than reboot.
If you keep getting into bootloops, keep doing these steps. Beliefe me man I had the exect same problam today and this solved it . Just dont panic or do something stupid and have alot of patients! :good:
But this is not a so called clean install. I use factory reset to have a clean install or just wipe data partition. After 1st boot I restore only some of my saved data with titanium backup.

Hey guys, I've spent the last 10ish hours or so trying to find and flash a ROM to my gnex that won't get stuck in a bootloop. I've tried Xylon, AOSPA Toro, Ato,421 Jelly Beer, and JB sourcery. I get the same problem with each. Here's been my procedure, with slight variations on when I wipe what caches and
Using Wugs Root Toolkit:
1- Flash stock and unroot
2 - unlock
3 - push root files to phone
4 - install root files with TWRP
5 - run super su and busybox installer
6 - Flash zip of ROM to phone
7 - install ROM files with TWRP
8 - GET STUCK IN BOOTLOOP
Any help is appreciated!
Did you install latest twrp?
Have you been able to boot stock?
Is the stock Rom version same as your custom Rom?

got the latest TWRP last night and yes, stock works fine. I've been going from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1/4.2.2. should I update the stock rom before flashing the new one?
Also I've tried wiping caches at every point possible, not wiping caches at all, and wiping them at different times, but still to no avail

You need to run factory reset in twrp/cwm.

finally booted!!!
Here's what I did:
1 - After flashing to stock and unrooting I let the device (TORO, not ToroPLUS) update to 4.2.2.
2 - moved on to unlocking and rooting the phone
3 - flashed latest TWRP
4 - Pushed latest Xylon Rom
5 - booted into TWRP and installed xylon
6 -Wiped caches
7 - restored data
I don't know why this worked all of a sudden, but you have my exact steps on the try that DID work, so I hope that for anyone else who has this problem this was helpful, and thanks Zepius and standa75 for the help!

When you unlocked, you wiped data partition. All you needed to do was use factory reset before flashing ROM
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
you could try doing a full factory reset and format data in twrp. i've had otherwise unexplainable problems that were fixed by doing that, sometimes i think the internal memory just needs a good reformat.
download 2.5 here, http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/90
1) open adb
2) adb reboot bootloader
3) fastboot flash recovery >>>>your file here<<<<<<, so if you named your image file to be TWRP.img, type "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img", assuming you are in the directory of the img file....
4) boot into recovery, do a full OS wipe, flash new rom, wipe dalvik and cache once more just in case (i think its a good habbit even its not needed most of the time, only takes like half a second anyways.....).
5) still failing? you are doing something wrong, read carefully and do it again.
If it is only 1 rom you can blame on faulty rom/corrupted files whatever, you tried that many roms it has to be your own problem.
i was flashing pacman rom and i realized i kept getting insufficient storage, long story short i formatted the internal stroage, adb'd the rom and gapps back over, flashed them...... well pacman rom bootlooped so i tried the latest stable cm (10.1.2). booted up fine.....except no softkeys or notification menu. i can get into apps and stuff but theres no way to back out of them. im guessing when i formatted internal storage something to do with the softkeys/notification menu was deleted....but after wiping and re-flashing a dozen times i cant figure out whats missing

thats the first thing i did, first with pacman then with cm10, both were missing the top notification bar and the bottom soft keys. prior to me formatting internal storage both roms worked fine with the same gapps package. i tried wiping rom and all cache, format /system....all that
also right after the internal storage format, i tried to bootup pacman rom i had already flashed and it booted fine, but with no top bar or softkeys. so i reflashed it and it bootlooped. i wiped and tried pacman rom again and it just bootlooped, so i switched to cm10 and it booted up fine but had the same problem the pacman rom had with missing notification bar and softkeys
I have the same problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406687

My phone is a GT-N7100, currently running JellyKatv4. I'm on MJ5 bootloader and have TWRP recovery (the latest one). Last night I wanted to try a non TW rom, so I downloaded 4 different roms (AOSB, Cyanogen, Slim and SOKP) to try. Wiped cache, dalvik cache, system, data, format internal storage, flashed the first one, got the "successfully installed" message, again cleared cache/dalvik cache, rebooted, nothing. Phone got stuck on roms logo. Left it for 10 minutes, still nothing. Rebooted, repeated the procedure, flashed another of the above roms, "successfully installed" message, nothing, stuck again at the roms logo. This happened to every single one of them!! What am I missing here;! Where is the catch;! Thanks in advance!

That's really unsual, only thing I can suggest is switch your recoveries to a previous TWRP perhaps 2.7.0 or 2.7.0.2 and flash the AOSP rom.

I have seen a few people with this problem on other ROMs such as the DN3 recently, also happened to me on one of the weekly build 5 SlimKAT releases.
The fix for 95% of the people so far has been to
do the wipe of system, cache and Dalvik
flash rom and gapps
reboot, if it hangs, boot back into recovery and dirty flash the rom again
Thanks for the replies! My first attempt was with TWRP v 2.6.3.2, got stuck to roms logo as I described, after that I flashed the newest TWRP 2.7.2.1, got stuck again. Do you suggest to go to a previous than v.2.6.3.2 release?
I'll try what fatboyinlycra suggested and I'll report back.
No success.. I tried flashing and dirtyflashing, the same result always, gets stuck on roms logo. I even moved the files to the internal storage, through TWRP file manager and flashed from there, still the same.. Any other suggestion?

you are on an old version of TWRP, suggest you use the new one - download from here
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/t03g/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.2.1-t03g.zip
The only other question I have to ask you is, you are downloading the right ROM for your phone? not an N7105 or other variant by mistake?
Thanks for the reply, but if u see my second post I've tried with the latest version of TWRP (2.7.2.1) and it didn't work. I've already tried 8 different roms (non TW), stuck on all of them in roms logo. I'm very frustrated right now, don't have a clue what's happening.

Yes, I try the correct versions for my phone. Will try a TW based later, to see what will happen.
Try format internal memory and all the partitions and then flash AOSP ROM, after that try flash custom kernel.
