Will report back
Thanks guys

let's flash again!
OMS?
Hi there,
Good to see more Nougat ROMs popping.
Does this build already contain the fix for the green artifacts whilst recording via Google Camera?
IWell guys I must say that on first impressions in very impressed.
The ROM downloaded very quickly
I flashed exactly as you said, wipe and clean install.
First time I tried it with open GAPPs 7.1Stock and it went through the installation process went through to installing super su then bounced back to TWRP when it came to installing GAPPs
I tried again with GAPPS 7.1 nano that I had used in a pervious ROM and it all installed no bother.
It did boot loop a couple of times before it got to the ANDROID boot animation.
I like the way the the ANDROID just sort of glimmers its simple and different.
It only took a few mins to boot and run through the set up and with use of titanium backup I had the whole thing set up in 10 mins.
The black and blue theme looks really good on my black Nexus.!
I ran through all the settings and couldn't find anything that isn't working for what I use.
I dont use this phone as a daily so I can't comment on the sim / signal / 4g etc.
All in all this looks like a great ROM that looks different from the others.
I prefer the Nova Launcher that you included over the pixel just coz I can do more with it.
This ROM is fast, smooth really well put together and looks different from the others.
It's the inbuilt theme engine that makes this a real winner although I'm not sure if you can add more theme than what are provided. There is enough there for me
Nice one guys
Thank you for you work.
Yes I have been poisoned by Cyanide
John
Cyanide has inbuilt themeing options, so OMS isn't merged. Substratum legacy may work if you don't apply framework. In built themeing includes changing of colours and fonts which is applicable almost everywhere.
I'm not asking for ETA's just asking if updates will be OTA or manual ?
Can someone make a screenshot of the features included?
What do you want a screen shot of ? There at lots in the O.P
No bettery percentage in systems user Interface

I'm noticing that my battery seems to be draining very quickly.
It goes onto doze mode no bother when the phone isn't being moved.
I used TB to back up 2 apps and the battery was empty.
I did calibration with the battery when first installed.
I will do a screen shot on the next battery cycle.
John
Last battery cycle
I just had a quick go of the video recorder and it films and records & plays all good.
Just need to look at the battery
Second battery cycle.
This is without a SIM card
The ROM dose mode is working as the battery life doesn't move until you start to move the phone.
I'm not playing any games.
No extreme use only on Google + and on here XDA
Battery saver is on
Hope this is of some use.
I really like the ROM but the battery is running out very quickly but then it only takes half hour or so to fully recharge

So to have a look at the issue. I clean flashed my build. Again. Initially got the heavy battery drain from Android System and Miscellaneous, did a few reboots, no effect. So what I did was, enabled Battery Saver and then disabled it. Don't know why though but the heavy battery drain was gone for me. At 39% stats showed around 1 hour and 20 minutes left. Used it till the phone was off and yep, I got more than an hour of usage from those 39%. So I think it must be an app misbehaving in the background. And this battery drain issue is present in a lot of ROMs, like AOSiP and Fake Nexus. So its just an app draining the battery.

I can't get online with my Nexus at the MO due to hotspot issues.
I will get some screenshots up for you although I'm nothing to do with this ROM I'm just a tester.
You could always just flash the ROM yourself and have a look.
Failing that I'm sure that the developer will put up what you need.
It's a smart ROM. Looks good

Cant wait to try this

Looking forward to this, nice work
Have you fixed GPS? Have been using this for 2 weeks and battery drain is perfect. Some wrong translations with the German language but generally free of bugs. Camera works very well, though no HDR and stuff. Besides the official Meizu team is supposed to be working on a Flyme 4-based update (presumably more features) and this (Flyme 3.8.4) would be abandoned. Again this UI is aimed at a non-Android experience with many differences when it comes to details (e. g. tapping the notification bar brings the list/page back to the top as in iOS).
By the way although it's rarely the case, the original ROM should also work on F320. No report from the official forum for support of D800/1/3 but I'd doubt if it's D802 only.

It's actually that short on lollipop? I'm posting from this ROM currently (you'd notice from the CM-style signature). This ROM is CM-based with heavily modified system frameworks, so battery life is ideal and I'd say far better than stock JB and better than stock KK which I was on before, plus very smooth animation.

Battery drain is perfect. I test this Rom with battery use and idle more than 4,5 days. Also GPS and orientation is fixed.
This day i have trouble by packing the rom into a ZIP. Trouble by twrp installing.
I think i will roll out this as it is ( twrp backup), maybe this evening

wow this is great @Ziyan truly appreciate your awesome work!
Testing it now.
It's actually running really really well! Posting this from the 1130 build now! One thing that did work on FML and just refuses to on cm12 is getting the APN to stick, it says "APN settings aren't available for this user" (which I think it also said in FML but still stuck after it was saved), otherwise everything else has been mentioned in the op as far as quirks are concerned
I'm getting much worse battery life than with the last CM11 nightly. Overnight battery drain was 3.7%/hour, compared to around 1%/hour with CM11. According to GSAM, the main issue was system(mediaserver) at about 94% of battery usage. No media was being served, so far as I can tell. EDIT: battery life often improves for me a day or two after installing a new generation, so I'll see if it gets better today.
I notice that the google bar at the top of the page always has: Say "OK Google." My Nexus 5 running stock doesn't have this.
It's also much laggier than CM11.
Video works with NuPlayer unchecked in Developer Options. Specifically, I could play video with MX player.
Possibly related to camera not working, the flashlight doesn't work. I only tried turning it on with quick settings.
No crashed so far and no app problems other than camera.
Tap and Go setup (against my N5), worked properly. It didn't work on FML.
I'm testing without a SIM at the moment, just wifi.
Thank you Ziyan
I had my SIM fried somehow after i flashed the rom yesterday, I had to replace the sim card today with a new one, the old one is toast.
It happened during "cellular network setup", it wanted my pin number, as soon as i entered it it was asking for my puk number.
Typed it in, things finished but without network connectivity, had the no sim card sign on the statusbar.
Could it be something connected to the rom or it was just my sim card time to go?
Cheers
Just want to say thanks!
Don't have enough posts to be allowed to post on the CM11 thread, so doing it here.
Ziyan,
Thank you so much for your work on this and I am looking forward to the first monthly CM12!

Try turning off ok google detection from the launcher settings - also, if you use the default launcher, set the app drawer animation to "none", because CM forgot to update that part of launcher to lollipop - they left in the animation from 4.4, so it's laggy and ugly. I just submitted the patch set to fix that, they merged it already so the next build will have this set by default.
Also, if you manage to break camera or video playback, I noticed it tends to leave the video processing part of the CPU active all the time until you reboot, so try that out too
As for the lag, it should improve over time.

I rebooted and recharged about two hours ago and battery is draining at 1.7%/hour (including listening to music, not just on idle). While it's usually a mistake to rely on short time periods, the prior drain could well have been due to breaking camera and video playback. I'll continue to monitor.
I'm using the google now launcher and like ok google detection. If I get down to similar idle battery drain as on CM11, I'll leave detection on, otherwise I'll test with it off.
I'd hope lag would improve as we go beyond early testing
Thanks
EDIT: battery drain on idle is going down a bit, suggesting your diagnosis of broken video leaving the CPU active was correct.

For those who don't know, we are getting Lollipop on GN because of these 3 people: @Ziyan , @freshgiammi , and @MWisBest. Lollipop FML was only possible because of those 3 people. Same thing applies for CM 12. It's not like they were working separately. So all 3 are due equal credits for making it work for us.
of course thread subscribed and waiting for the amazing work I'm sure ziyan will do :fingers-crossed:

Same bug with PUK
Ok, I don't know which information matters but:
I'm in Germany.
Steps before flashing new ROM from the 30th:
-> wipe cache
-> wipe system
-> wipe dalvic
-> flash rom (everything from cwm)
While trying to flash gapps i got error code 6 (Which i found out later was a buggy version of CWM (6.0.4.7)) but I didn't care and rebooted.
Everything seemed to work, but a few seconds later he asked for the PIN (like always).
Typed PIN correctly, after the FIRST try, the phone asked for the PUK.
Now, after flashing a newer CWM and the most recent cm-11 nightly + gapps ... at least everything works again, except for the SIM cause i can't find my PUK ... well, gonna buy a new prepaid tomorrow. Still an interesting bug ... does anybody know how this could happen? Would be nice to use Lollipop, even if it's bugged as hell ^^
edit: Without SIM, the ROM looked awesome. I had no lag and any app worked. BUT the home button did not. ^^
Is this running the newer GPU drivers?
Has anyone tried lollipop minimum gapps yet with these builds?

I have a few questions before I get a ZF2
How is the battery life now ? Did they fixed the battery drain ?
Is Lolipop 5.1 available for this phone ?
Did they improved the camera ? I remember some reviews complaining about the lack of DR in most pictures.
Thank you.
There is no battery drain on this phone. You will always find people complain about battery drain on every smartphone out there.

you should check Android authority's review and tons of people are complaining about the battery life. Maybe you got the phone with an update preinstalled ? That would be a good news !
Are you a moderate user like me ? If you are, how much battery do you have left at the end of the day ?
Thank you
I have it for a month now, got it with an old firmware, now i'm running latest. I get 6 - 7 hours sot over 24 hours. Also, don't use the integrated Asus task killer, battery saver and autostart manager. They only drain battery. I rooted and installed a custom rom that has almost all Asus apps removed but i didn't have battery problems on stock rom either. There is an "android system" that is showing on top of battery usage but it is not a problem for me as it only drains 2-3% over night. I olso turn on data, wifi or gps, only when i need them. I always get top battery life on every smartphone i have, i don't think this is coincidence or luck. The drain is exactly the same as on every other powerfull smartphone on the market.
This phone receives software updates every two weeks and is getting better and better. It just got a new update today if you look in general section. What other oem updates their flagship so often? ?

As previously mentioned, there is no extra battery drain on this phone. It holds up to a good 5-6 hours on daily use. It is an amazing device except for the camera, which is the only bad thing I find about the phone.
Incase you're wondering, ZenUI is AMAZING! I don't know why everyone hates on it, but I've used almost EVERY manufacturer's edition of Android and ZenUI is by far the best. It is the most customizable, it looks the cleanest, and it takes medium amounts of RAM. I say 'medium' because HTC takes A LOT, Sony is whatever, LG is okay, and Samsung takes TOO MUCH.
I feel like ZenUI combines the best in all of the skins and features into 1 neat package that is highly customizable. NOT TO MENTION, you get tap 2 wake STOCK while I had to custom ROM custom Kernel my HTC in order to get a battery hungry and impractical version of it.
Just buy the phone, and make sure to get the 2.3GHz/4GB RAM version.
Enjoy

I'm running stock and get ALMOST what he's getting with stock kernel.
The key is to get root and uninstall/freeze any ASUS apps you don't need/use, install Xposed and use Greenify to freeze apps after they are closed, and finally, set proper battery options such as disabling WiFi & 4G when the screen is off. I need constant email notifications so with the automatic Data Disabling option, I set the GMAIL app as its exception and I continue to get notifications at 10 minute intervals. I assume it disables the networks but re-enables them momentarily and lets GMAIL sync, then disables again. I've never seen this done before especially as a STOCK option.

there is no battery draining (for now) when both are enable anyway, so I dont see why I should turn it off. The battery start draining fast as soon as Im using it. It is by far the worst battery life I ever got.
The good news is I can apparently return the phone at no cost, not even the shipping. I will know more next week. Hurray !
Hi Guys,
facing a really annoying issue with my battery usage! I have my phone since two days and from the beginning i reconized, that android system use most of the battery what is really strange! Att. some picture where you can see it. I have a SOT of a little bit of 1 h and have already used 43% of the battery. Something is using my power a lot. Some of you guys aware of this issue and has anybody a solution for me!? (MIUI 10.0.11.)

Reboot system.
O have the same problem and with a reboot the problem disappear.
Enviado do meu Mi MIX 3 através do Tapatalk
I already gave it a try, more than one reboot of the system, but still android system is at the top of the list! Overall my SOT is ridiculous.
No idea what could effect that, when i read that some user has a SOT of around 9h i'm really sad and sure that something is wrong.

I'm not sure what app is causing the issue. I get 9 hours SOT on the EU weekly for 2+ months now. I'd probably get the same results using any version of miui. I use the same apps on all my phone's and always get great battery life.

What versión of TWRP are you using?
I own a Mix 3, DO NOT factory reset. Simply go to Apps, Google Play Service, clear Cache & Data. This will solve the issue. We had a discussion on MIUI forum
I'm having this problem now too since the March update.

Yes I am actually, Nova launcher. Hm. It doesn't show as being a heavy user in the battery section though, did yours?
Not showing nova, but Android services using more then it should.. Had more then 30 %of android service usage and after switching back to miui launcher, have about 10 % max
In my case cleaning google services cache didnt solve the problem. I didnt do factory reset becouse i did it few days ago whe I bought used mix .
What I did was downloading last fw update package from phone settings and updated which means I flashed same rom I had on my mix.
Before CPU usage 100% all the time, now looks much better (see pictures)
There is a bug in the beta builds of MIUI if you are using one of those that causes ALL apps to get autostart permissions. This leads to severe battery drain. Simply going down the list and stripping most of the apps of the autostart permission fixes the problem. This has been reported as a bug to Xiaomi. I also submitted logs and bug report as I found the cause (I think) of the Verizon MMS issues.

You're right, beta builds for this device are a complete mess regarding battery consumption. Even with autostart option turned off I still have severe battery drain from "google play services".

hmm that's strange for a ROM with Bubblewrap kernel!
let it settle and wait for a couple of charging sessions.
My question is: Can we use some other kernel with this...Like Nameless?

Ty dev for feedback. I Will install The Nameless Kernel..
This latest build by Dev is totally bugless in my testing.... The heating warning is now gone and you can easily play any games easily. And yes you can try nameless ...I'm also using it and getting better performance .... Only bug I noticed is volte vanish when we switch Sims data but comes only after a reboot ...not a major issue ... So yes totally a daily driver and fun to use with op customisations....
Battery backup is better than other pie roms... great standby
Thanks alot Dev

Buddy, you should try to calibrate the battery and then report the battery stats, also battery life depends upon the age of battery and your usage. Without testing do not post vague results. And considering the installation steps, its common for a GSI, and trust me the steps are worth it if you want to try oxygen os. This kind of comments discourages the developer. You should appreciate the hard work of developer, he is doing it for free. Good Luck with your testing :good:
Is there is dual app feature and call recording in phone dialer?

Hi Sorry my bad english.
Okay, I will perform the tests.

Hello people.
At no time did I intend to discourage installing it. Quite the opposite. Amid so many options if the developer spends his time to modify a room it is for the simple reason that it is very worthwhile. I only posted my battery information because I thought they could help me.
Besides, at least I believe there are no children here. We can all accept constructive criticism and help the next.
And as I said in my first post Great work dev.

Surely friend I understand what you meant, criticism and suggestions and compliments is welcome, I just want to say before making rom available I did the tests with the battery I tested rom for 5 days my zuk already has 2 years of use, and saw that was possible to make available to everyone who wants to test and use rom, since the installation is a little extensive because in all my posts on xda, I try to leave well explained so there are no problems in the installation, feel free to do the tests. , remembering that each device behaves differently here in my zuk everything goes well
