So its really odd, I play games and while playing it starts lagging pretty bad, id say from 60 fps to about like 15-20 (just a guess) its definitely not 30 fps, but whats weird is when I multi-window out then re-select the same game it starts running faster again for about 5-10 seconds then lags again. Never had this problem before, just started happening today, havent installed anything new, still playing same old games as usual like monster strike, egg inc
I have already gone into recovery mode and wiped cache

Hey all. I've been a devoted Cyanogenmod user since my OG Droid days. By far the greatest rom to grace the Android platform. I'm having a problem with my phone randomly rebooting during use. It only happens when I am playing games on my phone. So far, the only games I've noticed to cause my phone to reboot are Drag Racing and X-Plane 9, which are the only two games I've been playing lately. I haven't played Angry Birds or X-Construct or anything else long enough to see the same results. I've also noticed my phone gets a little hot when this occurs. I don't have my phone overclocked or anything, just basic profiles on Set PCU to save the battery life, which I have turned off for the past few days to see if there would be any changes. So far, nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

remove setcpu,
go into cyanogenmod settings and choose govenor settings from there.
make sure your using stock kernel (you are, unless you flashed something different)
get kernel manager from app market and play with whats out there to see what gets you better performance
Happy Flashing!!
I have the LG G4 H811 (T-Mobile). Does anyone on here play Game Dev Story and notice that about 3-5 seconds into the game it starts to lag, about 1/2 the speed? I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this issue before I wiped my phone. I noticed other games by this developer work just fine, and so far this is the only app that I have seen slow itself down.
I've tried clearing app cache, app data, reinstalling the app without success. If I switch out of the app and back into it, it will run normal again for about 5 seconds then slow back down.
Looking forward to custom ROMs for this. LG's software is slowing this phone down [again].
It might be because of bugged govenor, same with Tekken 6 on ppsspp, same story was on G3.
The only fix is change govenor to Conservative instead of interactive, but that require future root.
Game Dev Story has lagged on every phone I've ever owned.
Just for the hell of it, have you unchecked the battery saver gaming option?

Yeah, turned that off. It didn't make a difference to the game play. Also made sure that the settings in app were set to "Performance". Might have to ride it out until root is available for the H811 and some custom ROMs. Was hoping someone else could verify that it does the same thing. I confirmed that it runs slow on both the Lite (free) version and the Full version. Even at the start screen, you can notice the monkey swinging off the game name will start swinging slowly.
This doesn't help in any way, but I wanted to say that I have the same problem. Anyone found an actual solution?
I've got a few different games by Kairosoft and they all run terribly on the G4.
So yesterday my m8 suddenly started lagging, the whole time no matter what I do (reboot, power down for an hour, format internal memory, reflash rom).
It worked fine after charging overnight but now it's slow all the time again. It's not responsive at all, feels like 1fps and 100ms input lag, all animations are slowed down, sometimes input takes a few seconds to register (feels like a laggy kindle).
And like I said, it just suddenly started, haven't installed any apps in weeks.
Weird thing is, tasks run normally in the background, like talking on the phone or listening to music etc.
Anything I can do besides throw this phone away?
I have a similar problem. Can anyone help?Maybe it was the wine hboot?
After debranding my 3 UK Razer Phone, installing the factory image and updating to Oreo via an OTA update, I noticed that various animations and interactions such as scrolling anywhere or opening the app drawer are stuttering or skipping frames. I am very perceptive of frames and I can definitely say that after the Oreo update my phone has developed micro stutters. The phone doesn't hang or lag, it just feels like it skips frames. I have tried all performance profiles via Game Booster but the same issue persists. Has anyone else noticed a similar issue after updating to Oreo?
I dont have a probme but i do notice a bit if my frames dropping. I always run the phone on 120 fps but sonetimes recently i norice the divice falling to 60 fps and going back to 120. I did not glash anything and im doing so e testing to see if the problem is becauae of so ething i have installed ir not. But i dont notice any stutters ir frame skips.
I also have observed this issue and it is driving ne crazy. Pulling down the notification shade, scrolling through recent apps, scrolling in general, all have this micro stutter now. I had this issue before with my Axon 7 so I knew how to test it. Under developer settings, enable GPU Profiling on screen as bars. With the Axon 7, when scrolling, every time a frame dropped, the gpu profile would show a spike well above the green line. When I first got my Razer phone (on Nougat), everything was buttery smooth and upon using the same test, there were no gpu profile spikes above the green line when scrolling or making thebphone undergo any sort of animation. However, on Oreo, it feels as though the Razer phone is dropping frames in the same manner that my Axon 7 did before. I may just roll back to Nougat tbh.
Hello guys.
I had some issues with my Galaxy A70. It's lagging like hell while playing garena free fire, my device can handle the game without any issue but I Don't know why this happens.
The problem is when I play the game first 2-3 minutes game works fine but after 2-3 minutes game starts lagging phone slows down and touch sensitivity feels really heavy even game controls seems heavy I can't get fine movement because of this issue. And when I close the game phone seems so much slower it takes 10 seconds to open an app.
And while playing a game when I open the game control menu and close it, game works fine for 1-2 minutes and again it starts lagging. I hope someone here can help me with this issue. Any advice would be much appreciated
My device is not rooted and I'm on android 11 latest version.
Sorry for bad English
It called "thermal throttling".
Most smartphone will thermal throttle when the processor got too hot. Try lower your game setting. This can reduce the heat on the processor, and thus reduce the lag.

I accept your solution. but I'm already playing on lower settings the game lagging also on lower settings. I've tried factory data reset and after that lag disappeared for 2 or 3 days and again after 3 days lag came back I only downloaded the game (downloaded game after factory reset)
I think it's not" thermal throttling " maybe some systems apps causing the issue? Cuz every system has high usage
I've noticed every system apps running at 100%high frequency everytime, I think that might be the issue how can I fix this issue?

Disable you game launcher because when your phone heats up ,it drop your screen frame rate(fps) and also decrease your volume that cause so much of lagging issue.
My suggestion was to use a custom rom to get best gaming experience
It could be anything but if it is related to hardware section u can do nothing. So first of all u need to tell us about the CPU. If it's low-end or entry level CPU u can't play anything on it.
If it's mid-range, I can help u.
I have a phone running on mediatek helio g85 powered by android 12
I face the same issue as you do because I did an update of my os. So don't update your os.
And you need to charge 100% everytime you play. You need to restart the phone or clear the cache of your game before you play. Don't use your mobile data because it will heat up your phone quickly and don't run apps in background like Avast, Facebook Messenger etc. Try to remove your back cover and hold the phone like near a fan and turn off your volume u will notice a big difference and take a break after 30 minutes to cool down and power off the phone and don't use your phone at night power it off.
Also lower your brightness I mean u can play at night time it will not heat up your phone
