KRT16M OMNI 4.4 for GEEB (E970/E971/E973)

Hi, long ago i've started working on porting CyanogenMod to optimus G. Now i'm back on the move with omni. Omni rom is yet another open source alternative rom, but it has a lot more features. It is community driven, and everything goes through gerrit.
There is 3 versions of this rom. geeb, geespr, geehrc.
geeb is for E973, E971 and E970 (8mp camera)
geehrc is for E975 (13mp camera)
geespr is for sprint (13mp camera, CDMA)
Feel free to use my kernel that is under smoocha directory. If you have 13mp phone use geehrc else use geeb.
You will need to be rooted and bootloader unlocked to use this rom.

Installation
You will need to use TWRP for this rom.
4.4 has new selinux asserts in recovery that are not compatible with certain recoveries. Please use the one provided by me.
To make this easy, i uploaded zip for recoveries that can be flashed in recovery.

1st time
1. Download the recovery, rom and gapps.
2. Put all the files on your INTERNAL sdcard.
3. Reboot in recovery.
4. Flash recovery and reboot again in recovery.
5. Flash rom and gapps.
6. If you are coming from another rom use the wipe button from main menu. THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA.
7. Boot into system. Enjoy.

1. Download updated rom and/or gapps.
2. Put the files on your sdcard.
3. Reboot in recovery.
4. Flash the files.
5. Boot into system. Enjoy.
Until SuperUser integration is figured out by chainfire, please flash supersu package
after you flashed gapps (Last thing to flash.).

Wifi does work here.
GPS is meh, and seeing sattelite, but not getting a lock, i'm working on it.

Chad, e971 with jellybean rogers modem, wifi will not turn on, i have tried clean install, clearing cache etc....
what do u need from me?
gps and compass are a no go at all, the compass does not even function (gps status gives no heading when you move the phone)

Why do you need the mako recovery?
I am just curious, as to why I would need to flash the recovery for mako? I have never seen that in a ROM flashing instructions.
Edit: Installed the ROM, and it doesn't recognize my external SD, and have you not allowed the multi-screen from omni yet?

I have uploaded GAPPS to my own server with NetworkLocation from BaNks 4.3 GAPPS, i suppose he only forgot to push them in 4.4.
For the wifi, get me a dmesg and a logcat please.

We need to use mako recovery because 4.4 rom flashing involve selinux operation and therefore, the kernel in recovery needs to support selinux. Since our recovery tree is not updated, TWRP is not up-to-date and wont flash 4.4 roms. using mako is less pita and the only inconvenient is that it wont see external SD.
As for external SD, I think i have an idea why it is not working, I will take a look.
Keep in mind 4.4 is brand new and Omni devs had to rebase most of the repo. Stuff from 4.3 branches are slowly coming back to 4.4 .
I build with multi-window most of the time, but it's still a wip. To use it, long press home, long press an app and click add to split view. Do the same thing for the second app you want to see in multi-window. To go back to normal, long press home and tap the app you want to go back to.

Updated november 5th build, any E970 user can test if external SD works ?

You need to have lollipop Boot loader, and this Rom comes with volte support. Tell me exactly what problem you facing and whats your firmware.

The ROM might be having some minor issues I'm using this ROM as my daily driver. And its Stable and development is on going to make it even mire better.

Yes you can, you just need to flash twrp instead of cynogen recovery. And good to go.

Yes, you will loose cm recovery when you install twrp via adb. But your cm ROM will be there until you flash newer rom. And don't forget to take nandroid back-up before flashing any rom.

Yes, you have to flash modem files for volte. To enable volte feature.

You have to flash firmware file for tomato as it doesn't supports volte natively on any rom. I will provide the link in op for modem file.

It will show hd instead of VoLTE. If nkt may be ims is disabled. But you can call anyways. Haha

Flash recovery first, TWRP would be best.
Then download rom that you want to flash in your case cm.
And then flash the rom.
Don't forget to wipe cache, dalvik cache, data, internal storage. I suggest you to clean install in order to get a bug free experience. Pm me if you find any difficulty in flashing.

So i have to unlock bootloader or i can flash directly Cm12.1 by pc???

Help in Treble Project...

I flashed the AICP Unofficial Full Treble Support ROM.
But, it showed up me an error at beginning which in the Screenshot.
What should I do to eliminate that?

Yes sir, I used the TWRP with full Treble Compatibility by DD3Boh

Did you flash the GSI image?
I flashed the GSI image after flashing AICP unofficial... most of the things seem to be working fine... except VoLTE and an error message at startup about some internal problem.

Volet is not supported yet in aosp phh's gsi.....and that error...just ignore it...

Nope. It's based on Demon000's trees that will be the official LOS ones.

Dual sim is not working on this rom. Process crashes on phone

Good Rom. dual sim works fine. with 1 to 2 hrs of test use. i found no uses in the roms.
This rom lacks immersive mode for few apps like skype ...... we will see back bar at the bottom even if immersive mod enable.
have switch back to rom with support for complete immersive mod.
I hope we will see more from the developer in the future update for immersive mod.

I'm having trouble with magisk. Every time i try to flash it the phone reboots back into recovery.
Happens when flashing right after rom flash and also after clean rom flash.
Any ideas why this is?

Thanks, missed that info.

The installation proccess works as you discribed and the rom runs great. I went to back to TWRP and produced a back, no error no problem. Later when I tried to use the TWRP back file, it did not boot up..
I flashed the rom zip file and no problem, rom boot up. But when I start up some apk most of them gave error.
I missed something?

Yeah this rom gives more app crashes and some thing are broken like theme colors. Also missing gamma conrol.
But will be better with updates i hope. Still the best rom for me.

Well I haven't used this rom but the unmodified zui 4.0. There's no notification bug in that. Just add the app into auto start whitelist.

This ROM encrypts storage or not. I really want to try but i don't want to lose any data

No. This ROM Dont encryp your Internal memory in TWRP.

Can u please double check 60fps video's properties in mxplayer or PC, it's a big deal for me.
Because till now its not possible and gcam just shows 60fps but actual video is 30.
If possible please upload a sample 60fps clip.

I'm using now modified version from 4pda and it's working good.
Maybe my phone doesn't like this rom, who knows.

Sorry for noob question, is it mandatory to change the partition? how do I change the partition to ext4?. any source i can refer?
