My phone got stolen - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, about a year and a half ago, my lg g3 d855 got stolen, I know that's sad I probably also posted some questions about it back in the days.. it took a long time but today I got it back ( it was an evidence in court so I couldn't take it and now when they are in jail and the case is closed they gave it back to me ).. anyway, apparently the thief changed the phone password, and I really want to get all my information inside, I guess USB Debugging is off since I can't use adb commands (adb devices returns an empty string), and after booting to recovery I see it has the stock recovery installed, so flashing zips is not an option,
I have no other option then trying, am I right?
Just to mention, I can try as many backups pins as I want, it doesn't lock me there, and I can also try his Gmail password..

Wait as i understood.. You want to put your info inside to your phone?
Then why don't you do a factory reset and then do it..?
I know it may get the Google security (it needs the gmail and password that was in the phone) (it may be your gmail so give it a try..)

So you probably unlocked it to be used on other carriers as only the H815 can have an unlocked bootloader.
Just a small sugestion. Have you tried to create a new google account and sync with it to see what happens?
tried that and just tried it again with new account still in a loop. i unlocked the bootloader for root now when u unlock the boot loader lg remove warranty
anyone out there that can help.

Did you try clearing cache all google related apps like google service framework ?
what i have done is hardreset not sure how i can clean cache all google related apps like google service framework, as thats the only screen i can see i posted a video of whats happening, i have been on the pgone to google then its not them ring lg, i spoke to lg and emailed them a video waiting for a call back off them.
Maybe try booting into recovery in order to wipe EVERYTHING (and I mean everything possible).
Then boot back into download mode and flash the STOCK .kdz file (the one that your phone came from your carrier with, 10a/b which it was depending on how long you have had your phone).
If that does not work maybe try to build or get a custom AOSP Rom that does not have the GAPPS and see if you can just by-pass the issue all together by booting with having to deal with google apps (you would still need a work around for getting Gapps to work, but at least you would know exactly what the problem is and could boot into a working phone in the mean time).
Weird. Might be that 72 hour sign in feature (cough* bug *cough) thing because it looks like it might be kicking it back on the server side.
1) Did you try signing in on mobile data?
2) Do you have a nandroid, TB, or LG backup that you can restore?
2) Try bypassing the setup screen (keep tapping Next or Skip) and just get to the home screen. Then goto Settings ---> Accounts and add your account. This way you can get a usable device.
ive tried STOCK .kdz 10a/10b/10c
i dont have a nand backup
ive tryed using other wifi and my mobile internet.
google say its not them and im still waiting for lg to even look at the video they asked for..
is there any roms even out there for the g4 i cant find any. over a week now with out my g4.
AOSP Rom i wouldnt know where to start on building one i no longer have root or TWRP after flashing kdz
cant get the phone in adb mode developer as i cant get past the wifi screen as seen in video and cant get USB debugging.

Did you buy phone new, from where?
the phone is on a 24 month contract from o2 i got the phone from the carphone warehouse
ive just got off the phone to LG still not looked at the video they asked for i have been told to wait 7 working days WHAT thats gonna be like two weeks with a none working phone.
Weird, it's like you got a refurbished phone, and the old google account was not removed the correct way (remove google account before the phone is reset). If you reset phone without removing your account you get exactly what has happened to your phone. I see it all the time on the Nexus 6 forum.

Verify Your Account VS986 G4

Hi everyone,
So my Verizon G4 VS986 recently had a bootloop issue and was sent in to LG to fix the phone. They sent it back and what they said they did was to replace the flash memory. Obviously the phone has been reset and all my data is wiped as warned before I sent the phone in. The phone now boots up but I'm stuck at verify your account. I logged in to my google account on this phone and after two step verification was a success, I still cannot move forward and am stuck at the verify your account.
I looked into this issue online and found that this is part of the Factory Reset Protection built into 5.1. In either case, I did not change my password to my google account at all, it is still the same password, so the 72 hour wait rule shouldn't apply here at all. I also can't bypass the protection either since some of the methods require that you go into the Accessibility as seen here through this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/tut-bypass-lg-lock-google-account-t3223518 . My issue is that that Accessibility menu is not present on the initial screen, only language and moving forward.
So what are my options now? Contact LG about my issue or is there a way I can contact Google? Is it possible that the original account information is stored on the flash memory which LG replaced and now the account I need to log in is of some different user? If that's the case, am I forever stuck on this screen and this phone is effectively dead? Or is there something I can do that I haven't discovered yet? If anyone could help, it'd be a great help, thank you.

Since no one has the answer, I'll chime in on my resolution. Call LG, send the phone back in, and they will get it fixed. In my case, they changed the motherboard this time, not only the flash memory. After that, no more verify your account issues. Still was in warranty, not sure if you get a bootloop out of warranty would they still fix it without charging you.

Rootkit on LG G4. Takes over my network and can't remove it.

So last month I was following a tutorial on how to install ManageIQ. One of the steps involved pasting someone elses JSON on my google cloud account. That part of the tutorial was now changed with "generate your own private key".
Well, next thing I know my entire network got hacked, every single device too, my gmail account completely stolen, all passwords included etc. I didnt know that pasting someone elses Json key was basically giving access of everything to someone else.
The LG G4 was infected with some kind of malicious **** that as soon as I turn it on and connect it to my network, it opens my network to everyone.
The problem is ; I cant remove the rootkit because I cant root the phone. When I try to do it, I get a "this phone is from singapore and cant be unlocked" (?) message on he LG page, even tho its an International LG G4 H815 and shouldnt have this problem.
Yes, I already made several factory resets and using both methods (volume key down and by just doing it through the Opions menu), already tried with a brand new google account after one of these resets but still nothing. Same results. Today was ver obvious that the my phone was one of the issues because everything on my network was working fine until I decided to turn the g4 on after like 2 weeks..I wanted to check whatsapp.. And then I started to see random processes on my PC, ipsec, ssh enabled on my router, people getting access to the webcams of all devices (Im not joking) and all the nightmarish stuff Ive been suffering all this time. It came back once again.
One thing I noticed is that theres a ton of credentials that looks weird. Could someone with a clean lg g4 upload pictures of their credentials page on their phone? Also I cant remove all credentials because its greyed out.
Will upload screenshots of my credentials, later, so you can see and maybe tell me if something looks shady.
Solutions? Thanks.
EDIT: Here are all the credentials I got:
imgur . com / a / lA66Z
It gives me the option to encrypt and sd i dont have, altho I read this is a common issue.
I didnt take direct screenshots because im scared of plugging this into my PC right now so I just took photos. These pictures were taken right after a factory reset (low volume key method), just now.

Ok, installed using LGUP, refurbish option.
The certificates are still there tho.
Can I assume my phone is safe now ?
same problem

No security expert here, nor programmer, just a reader of these forums. But it seems pretty unlikely to me that you would have caught something that gets so deep into the system that it's still there after an lgup flash.
I have a bunch of things (about 40, maybe?) in the trusted credentials, too, so I guess that's normal?

After flashing the kdz your phone is clean if it was infected but! if you restore apps you may get infected again (IF it was a smartphone virus).
The trusted certificate authorities in your screens looking fine and the reason why you cannot remove them is they are coming with the android OS.
Your main problem seems to me your PC or PCs . I would run an offline antivirus scan with a boot ISO. I would do it in 2 steps. Step 1 would be to run the AV boot ISO scan on your system partitions only to see if it find anything. Do this with different scanners is highly recommended!!
If you found something I recommend to reinstall the OS! Cleaning is no 100% choice.
You should download at least 2 (3 are the top most I would use) of the free boot ISOs:
https://www.raymond.cc/blog/13-anti...-compared-in-search-for-the-best-rescue-disk/
You can make your life easier when using a method to make multiple boot ISOs e.g. on one USB stick:
https://www.raymond.cc/blog/integra...ne-single-disc-or-usb-flash-drive-with-sardu/
If you really do not want to reinstall your OS the next step is to scan ALL your data as well.
To be honest the above can be a VERY time consuming process and there will be still a risk that not every virus can be caught. The only chance to be clean is reinstall the OS of your PC. I assume it is windows so it may be the time to think about installing Linux instead the security concept of Linux is different to windows and keep in mind that 95% of viruses target windows systems.

LG K10 screen lock

I've got a problem with my lg k10 - It's number protected and I can't remember the combination. I can't make a backup, because my usb is in loading only mode, I can't access it remotely because USB debugging is off. I really don't want to hard reset it, because i've got some private and important things there. I can't really do anything about rooting etc. (I don't know anything as well). Just for mentioning sake, I've tried ADM, but it didn't work (like it's anything new :/) is there any way to bypass it somehow without hard resetting it?
EDIT: I'm sorry if it's not the place for such newbie things, I lost all my hope and I don't know what to do
EDIT2: It was repaired after screen crash and I don't really remember putting the code combination in place of contemporary screen lock.

Unable to reset Andriod ZTE phone bc of FRP lock, Looking for help unlocking Please!

Hi,
So I have a rather unheard of problem. I was given a phone from a friend before they moved out of state and have no way of contacting them anymore. I turned it on and it had a pass code so i just figured i would do a factory reset ( or what i assumed to be a factory reset) using the buttons on the phone. I used the recovery menu to get to the screen that gave me the options to wipe data, or install update from apk, or factory reset the phone so i used the volume buttons and clicked reset. I let the phone do its thing and when it turned back on it goes to the google factory reset protection page saying i need to login using a google account that was previously used on the phone before the reset. FML! i used the talk back option to be able to access the settings menu and figured i would just do the reset from the settings menu. This is were all of my problems begin!! I can access the settings menu and get to the back up & reset and then click the the Factory reset option. However, the factory reset screen has a button at the bottom of the screen that says Reset Phone and when I click the Reset phone button, absolutely nothing happens. (It makes a click sound but it doesn't do anything at all)
The Other Problem!!: For some unknown reason i cant seem to access the developer options and enable USB debugging. even after i put the phone in safe mode i still could not get the developer options to appear. I have no clue what i am doing wrong but i feel like i am running into a brick wall and not matter what i click or press the phone just will not do what it is suppose to do! I tried every way I can think of to enable USB debugging but, no matter how many times I try to click Build Number or Build Version ( whatever it is exactly called, hopefully you can understand what I mean) nothing happens! I have tried to install a USB debugging app from a qr code but it won't read the qr code from the camera app. I was able to access the camera app using the same talk back trick that i used to get into the settings. I keep telling myself if only i knew about the talk back trick to get into the settings menu before i stupidly reset the phone when i first saw the pass code. So I am hoping that a google FRP Bypass program will work and help me make the phone usable again!! Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?? I am open to all ideas.
So far i have come up with a few ideas but idk if any of them are even possible to accomplish! Can someone help me out and tell me if any of the following options are even possible and whether or not it will be helpful and make the phone usable so i can have a cell phone again. Please, Please can someone help me!! Ideas:
1.) Use a Google Factory Reset Protection Unlocking program.
2.)Somehow completely delete the entire phone and reinstall the marshmallow android OS, like when you would do a fresh clean install of windows on a PC, (IDK if this is even possible but i am assuming it should be)
3.) Rooting the phone and finding a new custom ROM. ( I haven't even done anything like or close to rooting a phone, but im guessing it cant be that hard, right? Google and YouTube have vast amounts of tutorials........, hopefully,....right?
4.) I have backups of my older phones that i am wondering if it would be possible to use one of the backups i have saved and somehow putting it on the phone as a way to get pasted the FRP lock? I haven't a clue if the backups are only usable to the specific phones that created them or if they can be used on any phone?
5.) Downgrade the Android version to a older version that doesn't have the FRP lock, then once i have access into the phone i can just upgrade the phone after i logging into my google account.
6.) You know how Windows PC have the restore option in the settings so you can go back to a previously made restore point? Like turning back the clock so to speak, Is this option available or does it even exist at all on Android? I was thinking if it does i can just simply store the phone back to before i stupidly reset it and then use the trick to bypass the screen lock code and use the settings to do a hard reset ( I really don't think this option even exists or is possible but im literally at the point of willing to try and do absolutely anything to be able to have a phone again! Please and thanks! It is a ZTE Z837VL and it is Android marshmallow, Android Version 6.0.1 (I'm not sure if the
Android version matters or not?)
Thanks. Also If this is the wrong place for this post then please just let me know where the correct spot is to post and i will quickly fix it!! I am new to the site and I have read alot of posts and truthfully, feel like i have overwhelmed myself with trying to make sure i do things the way its supposed to be done. I know many most likely ALL of the members on this site are advanced and way more knowledgeable about the mobile phone information. I do know alot of computers and I have alot of programming experience but i have only focused on PCs and am just starting to learn what i can about mobile development.
Thanks again for helping me and sharing whatever you can with me to help solve things. I am really hoping not to end up with a paperweight haha!!
