Hi Guys.
Now I'm using CM 14.1 (root) but I can't install OOS Open Beta 8 by TWRP (modified version .28).
The file OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_016_all_1611302306_cc5d2327b14247fd.zip is installed but the reboot never is completed.
Could you help me?
Flash 3.5.6/open beta 7 with modified twrp-22. You'll lose twrp and get the stock recovery. Flash open beta 8 from stock recovery then. That's how I did it. I hope there's simpler method now.
I'm on Miui 9.6.4 rooted UB with redwolf recovery (including lazy flasher) .
I just wanted to know how to clean install global 10.2 with root & recovery.
Download latest full stable full package and flash it
If you want a clean install, use the format data button, type YES, reboot to twrp again, and flash it from there
You will have the latest rom as well as the latest firmware and vendor
I'm using latest 10.2.1.0 and the phone feels a loot smoother, give it a try

As mentioned in the previous thread, I have rooted a brand new OnePlus 5T; I have TWRP and made a full backup, I am trying the official upgrade OS from OxygenOS 5.1.4 / Android 8.1.0. to OxygenOS 9.0.0 / Android 9.0.
The download takes about 1 hour. After the download completed, I try the upgrade, but upon reboot, TWRP came up instead of the system OS. When I did reboot the system, a message was displayed saying that the upgrade failed. I am trying the download a second time now.
How can I proceed with the upgrade to OxygenOS 9.0.0 / Android 9.0?
Official OTA Updates and TWRP

Oh!
I'm not sure how to proceed now.
I think you have to update to latest Oreo 5.1.7/5.1.8 first before installing Pie. Latest Oreo Rom contains treble support&vendor partitioning needed for Pie update.
You should indeed update to latest Bluspark Twrp if you install Pie. With 9.83 you still have to delete the 'compatibility.zip' file from full Pie Rom zip. With 9.91 that is not needed anymore.
So Restore your Oreo backup, dirty flash to latest oreo, right after that flash latest Bluspark TWRP, then reboot to system, reboot to TWRP and dirty flash again to latest Pie Rom, again followed by BluTwrp. I always delete caches and system before dirty flashing, but others say that not needed.
Do uninstall Magisk modules and Magisk itself (flash latest uninstaller) before dirty flashing, asuming you are rooted via Magisk.
Good luck!
I'm trying update from 12.0.1 to 12.0.5 with TWRP recovery.
"Package expects build fingerprintof redmi/begonian this device has begonia" This error is coming.
I Removed the fist line which checks this from updater script. still this error is coming.
The Questions I have .
1) Is is possible to do OTA update without loosing apps/data?
2) Can i Use the image from this link Here ?
3) If i can't do the above should i flash the full rom from Here ?? Is it possible to do this without loosing apps/data?
4) Is there any other recovery that supports flashing the OTA rom?
1) OTA won't erase your data
2) You should install the correct OTA distribution for your phone. If you have begonia then flash begonia. So does for begoniain. Unless you are flashing fastboot ROM, it will count as switching region and are totally fine with UBL. How do I know which device am I? Refer to about section in settings
3) Dirty flash for MIUI in mi flash with same region distribution is fine. Even downgrade from A10 to A9 is completely fine (but some apps may show weird behaviour, for this case, factory reset is recommended). I've done it many times (stable global to stable global).
4) It sure can but I wouldn't recommend. It will lead to bootloop. I will recommend to flash stock recovery and do the update via miflash pro with full recovery rom. I also recommend to completely remove magisk prior update. Carrying over your magisk+magisk hide+magisk settings+it's module is fine, but I recently discovered incompatibilities that leads bootloop when switching off magisk hide that carried over from previous update on 12.0.7.0 global. You can re-install everything after update
So, i tried to install a custom ROM on my Redmi Note 8 pro (begonia model).
I used a LR-TWRP somewhere from this forum (I can link it later, currently on mobile),
It boots, but if I try to install MIUI 12.5, it just bootloops (not system, recovery), rooting bricks the phone (restored with SP FLASH).
Installing preloaded, lk and lk2 (from megathread) kinda bricks the phone, I can boot to MIUI, but can't to fastboot and recovery. (I also restored it)
Installing Pixel Experience 11 (my target ROM is Pixel Experience 12, but I would need to update MIUI, which breaks TWRP) also bricks the phone.
I am currently on MIUI 10, Android 9.
What can I do?
Sorry for my English.
Your TWRP version is incompatible. Flash the Android 11/12 version of TWRP after you flash the ROM.

Okay, so i installed MIUI 12.5 and Begonia Recovery Project.
Pixel Experience 11 Plus works fine, but i can't install the 12 one.
It shows ERROR 1,
and assert failed: update_dynamic_partitions(package_extract_file("dynamic_partitions_op_list"))
From other threads, I formatted data and install latest MIUI (12.5.7), but it still errors.
Sorry for not replying, it was a night time in my country
Begonia Recovery Project is based on Android 10 version of TWRP.
Flash the latest MIUI using fastboot then flash this version of TWRP:https://sourceforge.net/projects/be...ic/Dynamic-TWRP-Begonia-23-12-21.img/download
Then sideload or direct install the zip and format data.
The guide says don't worry about red line errors.
