Hello .. from a couple of days I recieved a desire hd but came with a custom rom and that is hd revolution 7.3 ,i respect alot the man who create this rom but I want to revert to stock rom,I know that htc's is a pain in the *** when come to software and I want some help on how i could revert it to stock(I tried with ruu and get 155 error with unlocked bl or 131 even on my cid) So the details are
build number: 10.05.401.4
Baseband:12.65.60.29U
And from hboot:

Please tell my how can I revert to stock ,..i don't know what ruu should i get and other staff,i also tried with goldcard created by xtc and stuck when installing.
Phone is sim unlocked but cid appear t-mob101
Thanks in advance!
to return your phone to stock...firstly you must re-locked your bootloader from fastboot "fastboot oem lock"
because i can't found your RUU...then i think you must using a goldcard to flashing a different RUU (like this RUU or else that are had a higher or the latest version than yours) ..if your goldcard made by xtc had fail fashing that RUU...you can try create a new one with this goldcard tool by glevitan in here..
good luck..

[Q] Question about S-OFF

I'm having a bit of trouble. I currently have an unlocked bootloader and was wondering if I have to re-lock before I can run the 2.3 RUU and then revolutionary.
I'm currently running [ROM][July13][KitKat][4.4.4] Beanstalk | Release 6 | bravo with TWRP v2.7.0.0 and have made a nand backup. After I acquire S-OFF will I be able to restore my current setup?
This is what I have now
BRAVO PVT4 SHIP S-ON

If you want to S-ON your device for warranty reasons (as long as you are S-OFF) you could flash an original RUU for your device (according to your CID) and then you can give the command fastboot oem writesecureflag 3.
** Before you try to flash the RUU you should better relock your bootloader (fastboot oem lock).
Before you S-ON your device you have to be completely sure you have the original hboot otherwise you could break your phone. If you have not warranty I can't see any reason to revert it to S-ON. **

About your first question if you downgrade your firmware by flashing a 2.3 gingerbread RUU you have to use a goldcard to be able to flash it.You should always relock your bootloader to flash an RUU.
Relock bootloader and run the 2.3gb ruu. U do NOT need a goldcard for that ruu, the 2.3gb update was ment for all if they wanted gingerbread so theres no cid check.
Thanks jmcclue, that worked flawlessly. I am now S-OFF.
What I wasn't sure about was if I had to make a gold card or not. I tried Revolutionary without success without re-locking first.

Always have to relock bootloader before ruu and a goldcard is only needed to bypass the CID (carrier id check) so lets say u r locked to vodafone and theres no vodafone ruu then u would need a goldcard so that u can use a wwe or europe ruu (unbranded)
Just so I'm clear on this for future reference, when you say "locked" is that a SIM lock or the actual phone is locked.
I did try to make a gold card, figuring that was my problem, and wasn't successful.
Are goldcards a thing of the past now?

Sim locked (carrier) so if lets say ur phone is locked to vodafone, u cant use any ruu apart from a vodafone ruu unless u make a goldcard which bypasses the carrier id check

Stuck in RUU mode

I got my new M9 a couple of days ago and unlocked it via HTCDev.com
Installed TWRP, rooted it any applied sunshine S Off
Changed cid from O2___102 to HTC__001
and the MID to international
Downloaded the latest M9 Marshmallow RUU
I tried to install the RUU but got error 151 and got stuck on the install screen
I'm unable to reboot
No fastboot available
Did I brick my phone?
The only existing MM RUU is for the unlocked/dev edition of the M9 (which is not the same as the international WWE version with the SKU 401). clsA wrote some instructions how to convert if you're phone is S-OFF. And no, you didn't brick your phone as long as the RUU didn't start flashing anything (which shouldn't have happened if you faced error 151). Just close the RUU and use the fastboot command fastboot reboot. Or press and hold the power button and both volume buttons until the phone reboots to bootloader.
Since I'm curious: To which one did you change your MID? The German O2 branded M9 already has the international MID.
i messed up the CID for the Dev version and the MID was wrong as well
i changed my CID to BS_US001 and my MID from 0PJA10000 to 0PJA11000
i just panicked because i was unable to power it down, and thought i would need to wait a week till it runs out of power, which it did after about 15h with continues screen on time in RUU bootscreen
but thanks for the advice

[HELP] HTC 10 bootloop on Bootloader Mode

Hi everybody,
I'm sorry, I'm sure this question may be asked so much time, but after 1 hour searching I don't find anything usefull for me... (Maybe a keywork issue ?)
I don't know what I've done, but after I locked again the bootloader in order to flash on a RUU, I blocked my HTC 10 and can't boot on android again.
When I tried it the phone is only going to bootloader mode and don't want to get to my Os. I have TWRP and was on the custom LeeDroid 7.0.
I can't backup or do anything and while i try the dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota on the terminal, it won't work...
And I can't unlock again the phone, I've tried and it's "relocked".
Has someone have the same issues ? Really need your help ! :crying:
Thank you !
Why did you even lock the bootloader to flash a RUU? Is that mandatory? Sticking with Lee is always a better idea .
You might wanna try using a RUU.exe to get your OS back. What firmware and model do you currently have?

Yes it was lol...
But i've read that it was better to be on a locked bootloader to flash ruu :crying:
Yes, you need to lock the bootloader to flash an RUU.
Some people like custom roms, some want to go back to stock.
From the bootloader you can go to download mode and get the unlock token and try the process again to unlock, I would guess. Beyond that, I'm assuming the RUU screwed up somewhere. It is generally not possible to flash an RUU unless the phone matches the RUU's CID and MID parameters. And if it didnt work, the RUU wont have gotten far enough to do any damage.

I've re-unlocked the phone but it won't install the ruu but i think i've made the good RUU choice from the HTC website (was this one : on the website HTC us/support/htc-10-t-mobile/news/)
And i got an error 155 (ERROR UPDATING IMAGE) can't update your android phone.
But i've checked and i'm CID: T-MOB101 | MID: 2PS620000 on my HTC 10 ...

so you can't flash ruu with a unlocked bootloader?? thats odd...people use rru to get back to stock after running custom rom and you shouldn't lock bootloader with custom firmware bc it supposedly bricks you...or is download mode still operatable?
edit: i just flashed an ruu to check and can confirm ruu worked with unlocked bootloader and s-on.

Fair enough, advice I followed at the time suggested I relock bootloader to do an RUU. Being S-ON or OFF doesn't matter.
However, since there was no RUU for my CID (H3G__001) I had to S-OFF in order to change my CID to WWE (HTC__001) to flash that RUU. My phones status at the time was S-OFF, Relocked. It worked fine. It also worked fine under those same conditions after I changed my CID to BS_US001 and MID to 2PS6500000.

The download mode works, bootloader too
I'm not able to flash with an unlocked or a locked bootloader, i've tried the RUU and the custom ROM like Leedroid for example.

I don't think it's the US MID, my IMEI is German and the phone works great on 4G / LTE in France (where I live) and i've read that 4G won't work with an US version in France, but maybe you're true and their is no RUU for my version ... (fragmentation pleasures).
Do you know how i can s-off this phone in order to change those CID which block me ? ^^' because i can't use sunshine bc no OS installed and can't flash one ...
In fact, the only think i can flash / unflash is TWRP and the recovery stock..

Selling phone and can't remove red text

I'm selling my HTC 10 which I debranded and converted to the US model (after unlocking the bootloader and obtaining s-off).
I want to sell it with the US ROM on it, but need to remove the red warning text on the boot screen.
I incorrectly assumed that this was caused by having an unlocked bootloader, however locking the bootloader hasn't removed this. Do I need to s-on to remove the text? I tried "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3", but it failed. Is this because I relocked the bootloader?
Do I need to unlock it again, run fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 and then relock it?
i remove that Red text flashing a run.exe and I was S-OFF/LOCKED.
Fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" don't relock bootloader. This command is for change to S-ON

I know fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 doesn't relock the bootloader. I'd already locked the bootloader with fastboot oem lock.
Run.exe?

I ran the latest US RUU.exe and it wiped the phone, but didn't remove the red warning text.
Is the red warning text caused by having s-off?
I'm assuming that I don't need to return the phone to its original CID and MID in order to remove the red text.
Edit: I might try changing the MID back to the original, as another thread indicated that that can cause the problem.

You will probably need to flash original software on it.

I've fixed it by flashing the WWE version.
