It does support your phone and it is safe to use. You can remove root w/o factory resetting but yes, it will remove it if you do.

If Stump didn't work, there are at least 2 other options. Just look through the Dev section.
Also, what msg did you get from Stump when trying to root? Did it say whether it was successful or not? I used the app a few time successfully already

After playing "grid" gave me a message that was ok and asked me to restart the device.
Restarting wanted to open "SuperSU" and tells me I'm not root
Join stump again and when I play GRID now says "unsupported device"
Search options but after several consultations tell me that for this device the method is stump

It is the one for your device, Stump supports 10c so it's kinda weird that it's not working. Do you have SuperSU and busybox installed?

Yeah, give it another shot. It should work if you're on 10c stock.

I'm not sure why it's saying it's unsupported but busybox is needed to get SuperSU to work.

New ----> 20P
20P --> If you are not root having applied this tool, copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip on your SDCARD , restart on recovery mode and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
This :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3048845 by @topet2k12001
Has also been said to work on New v20i...............
I have the same problem, can someone make a guide to root the 20i ?
The same for me, i had used all the rooting tools and procedures without any result.
got the same issue, need root to replace the lteconfig file but cant
no LTE for ME
Not working on D855 V20i TWN Stock Rom. I just reflashed my old V20h to stock V20h because I had root and OTA V20i update was annoying. No root methods work, script/manual or GUI.

Just follow the instructions on the Kingroot page, just download the .apk and install it.
Your phone will be exactly the same, the only difference is that you will be able to install and run 'root' applications. This is like being administrator of a computer, you can install and run anything.
If kingroot is unable to unlock your phone it will tell you before it starts, it has a table that it uses to look up phone models/firmware, if it's not on the list then it doesn't attempt it.
You can always repair your phone with Sony PC Companion, whatever the condition.
You might want to install superSU once Kingroot is installed, but again, follow the instructions on the thread and it will be easy.
Auto update disabled
Hello,
Xperia Z Ultra 14.6.A.1.236
Kingroot 4.6.2
I noticed that Kingroot (autoupdate disabled) is still trying to connect to chinese servers as soon as i have internet access. Eight IP addresses just to check for new version? Strange, isn't it?
I dont know how to verify what kind of connection Kingroot is trying to establish. Does any one know if it is just for update check or to send data from cell to chinese servers.

I know that Kingroot is sending some data during installation "to find the best way to root your devicew". But why it is trying to connect so hard after root is already obtained?
Thanks.for.your help guys.

If you don't trust Kingroot, you can change Kingroot to su - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65004634&postcount=2 or you can wipe everything and just flash supersu via recovery - https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/

Lost root H815, after using phone with root since 07 Dec2015

Hmmmm, phone bootloader is official unlocked. I rooted back then with Systemless Root as HERE and now this morning when I try to use a Nova Setting that requies root I find I'm no longer rooted. When I open Super SU it says no binary found. Don't want to go through the whole rooting again, anybody experience this and know a direct way to solve . Agrhhhhh
Yesterday I checked LG for system updates, might this have had some effect on Root?
11 : 40 hrs P.S. Did nothing except a 2nd restart and now it's ROOTED again Really don't have the head at the moment for using my the rooting part of my brain ( I very seldom do )
Hope it stays rooted

You have to disable automatic updates in the system settings, if you're rooted. Updating OTA will, of course, break root.
But rooting is so easy it should be no problem to gain root access again.
Cheers mate

Help: Root 4.6.6 without kingroot? Downgrade?

I'm looking for a way to root a Fire Phone that runs 4.6.6, without using kingroot. It is a US unlocked phone.
I don't know where kingroot sends data, and don't want to know. I'm aware of SuperSuMe, but not confident that it can get rid of everything. Since kingroot only works online, the kingroot folks can update their software to hide from any removal that SuperSuMe attempts.
I've tried downgrading to 3.5 via adb sideload. Unfortunately, the sideload failed due to "assert failed". I edited the updater script, and the next attempt failed due to a verification error.
Is it possible to downgrade a 4.6.6 fire phone to 3.5? Can I downgrade in stages.... 4.6 to 4.1 to 3.6 to 3.5?
Are there any alternatives to kingroot?
Downgrading is not possible with latest firmware. Right now king root is only option to root, but if you want google, then you really dont need to root. It installs without rooting

@Rick949 used MobileGo from WonderShare to root Fire OS 4.6.1. It may root 4.6.6 as well. See Rick949's post here.
