I dont know how to do what you say but try "ifont". You can download fonts and invert them to apk.

if you just want to change icon or the picture, the easiest way is by open the apk file via 7zip then copy the files into it. its also work if you change some of the script. just put the scipt back to folder. I've used this method to modify systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. it works fine for me.

I got an other question.I'am using AOSP ICS mmb rom,currently.I want to change its statusbar icon with icons from a theme.I have bought CM10/CM9 Touchwiz theme,from it I want to replace stock icons.I have changed the icons once,but it was from another ROM.
Can anyone tell me which files I must have to copy from touchwiz.apk to systenUI.apk because Touchwiz.apk has all the icons for firmware-res.apk and systemUI.apk.
Can any one help me on that.......

I have learned how to change the icons from the theme(thanks to my mind ).But the problem is that the icons are way to big and doesn't fit on SG Gio's screen.

I know about NinjaMorph.I was asking that to change the lockscreen,changing icons do the trick or we have to do something else.

You can change the size of the file icon using Photoshop or AnyPicImageResize via computer

I don't know for exact size, but my advice to determine appropriate size enough extracted (using Winrar) apk file that you want to modify!
after apk file is extracted, check the res folder (the folder where the files are xml and icon files)

Hey I'm looking to try and port Samungs emojis over to this phone but I can't find the images unless they are all in a font file. I know on the S4 they were all in one folder. Could anyone chime in and elp me out?

ususally they're stored in framework-res.apk in system/framework, there's also a font, android-emoji.ttf in the system/fonts folder

Not in the framework but I did find the font files. Do you think replacing them with the samsung emoji font files will work?
I have missed the original news smart gothic font using root and font installer.

If you want a less permanent solution you can download the above zip and extract the folder labled 'fonts'. Then download ifont and in your file manager create a folder title 'custom' under ifont. Then move the extracted fonts folder over. Now open ifont select my fonts and there you will see your custom folder. Set and reboot.

2.find icons file and replace it or you can extract it(add .zip extension)
3. repack all, for icons.zip, delete .zip extension and for theme archive, change extension from .zip to .theme

No, it doesn't work. I have tried again with several themes. And when I apply these themes, the icons don't show up.
Could you please also try with it? If you have a working theme, could you please share it?

One element on the zip file is missing... It is the "allapps.xml"... The one thing that is very important to generate the icons onto homescreen...
