There are issues. The Official thread lists "SELinux permissive" + "Camcorder can be a bit buggy at times" as noted bugs.
I suggest you read through the thread to get a more accurate picture of issues, as I seem to remember people having trouble with mobile reception, call quality, etc. Try using the search feature within in thread to look for specific issues.

Yes. The [ROM][OFFICIAL][7.1.1][hydrogen] CyanogenMod 14.1 thread is in the Development section.
It's a good idea to try searching the subforums for the Mi Max before asking questions. You'll find a lot of the info you're looking for is already available.

You know what.. I think I'll just skip buying the Xiaomi Mi Max. Too many issues with it and it's not 100% compatible with my carrier in USA. Do you recommend other phones that are 6.5 inches that work in USA without issues?

For alternatives you could look in "6" (and larger) device alternatives to replace our Xperia Z Ultra (10+ device specs)" http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...arger-device-alternatives-to-replace-t3282536
By the way it looks like you have alternatives to CM based on MIUI if you want a stable and "efficient" rom on a mi max : http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/help/question-mi-max-helium-rom-t3515117

MIUI sucks!!!!! Its the worst, most simple, most boring stupid rom ever made.
About your suggestion with 6 inch phones, I really prefer 6.5 inch. If you have any suggestions on those I'd appreciate it.
by the way there is at least one guy happy with the mokee rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69792967&postcount=114
I am using CM 14.1 and all i can say is its awesome and stable enough for a daily driver great rom.

I think there wont be a 3.2.9, 4.0 will come next imho
Is there anything special bound for 3.2.9 ? Cuz i keep seeing etas for newer versions of this and that but everything works just as it should. Is the higher number that impt compared to having a stable device?

I think they will focus on 4.0 as they are giving more priority to nougat than touch latency issue.

Because the touch latency is not sn Op3 only issue. The OP3 has pretty good latency compared to other devices.

I agree but I highly doubt there will be a 3.2.9
Direct 4.0 mostly
It's mid-December already and we'll get stable Nougat this year, so yeah, it's pretty safe to say that there won't be any more Marshmallow updates.
And touch latency fix is incorporated into Open Beta 8, so it's coming to stable branch with Nougat.

They removed the beta download saying they gathered enough feedback, so my guess is 4.0 will be the next release... Maybe Soonâ„¢

Maybe 3.2.8,1/4...
1 more beta may come within a week........ followed by official 4.0

Actually, op3 have bad touch latency compared to m8 and s7e. Had all 3 phones to test. I haven't tried latency firmware from op3t tho.

Compared overall to other phones it is just fine.. People have to complain about something.
1. ONEPLUS 3 had no 1440P display
2. ONEPLUS 3T launched (Overall no difference)
3. ONPLUS 3 has bad touch latency.
Currently own the Mi Mix. Great phone but I'm not the biggest fan of MIUI. Would like to see LineageOS run on this phone. I was wondering if the development for Mi Mix is/will be on the to-do list? I understand the chances are very slim since this phone is exclusively on sale in China atm. But a man can dream, can't he ?

As stated, why not use the thread provided above...
Hi
I'm a CM/Lineage user since 2012, I'm currently using a M8 with LOS14.1 but I need a new phone and having a Lineage Official Rom is a must for me. It obviously needs to be better than the one I have right now (specially the camera and battery) and the rom bug free.
I've been looking into the left bar on the downloads page trying to figure out the best phones running LOS officially but it's not easy, there are too many phones and opening the threads to figure out if the rom is stable or not, then searching for specs and prices takes a lot of time, if someone could help me I would really appreciate it.
Moto z, x pure, x play, g4, in that order!
Enviado desde mi SM-G531H mediante Tapatalk
Thanks. X pure (or style in my area) wasn't in my list but I will definitely check it out. Better camera, best SOC, screen, bigger battery, I can keep the front facing speakers and save a few bucks.
The Z is not an option, it's over my budget and I'm not a fan of the design.

The Mi5 was my first option, I ordered one two day ago but I had to cancel the order when I noticed the lack of LTE band20, it is completely useless in my area.
Hi All!,
I am a current OnePlus 3t user, and it's a great phone. I was looking to get a new phone for 2 main reasons:
The space on the OnePlus I have is limitted to 64 Gb, I am running out.
With the new Snapdragon 835 out, I thought I'd look for a phone with that if I were to upgrade.
So I thought I'd check out the OnePlus 5, however the price of it put me off. Having done some research, I really like the look of the Xiaomi Mi 6. However there are a few things that are still making me reconsider:
The reviews I have seen have commented the software is buggy. It crashes and stops working at times. The software on the OnePlus 3T just works. I've not had any problems. If I get the Mi6, will it be a case of buying a buggy phone?
Also with the software, I've never used MiUi, and personally I like the simplicity and near stock Android on the OnePlus. How big of a change is the MiUi and is it customisable?
Does the Mi6 have the ability to capture RAW images?
Thanks in advance! :good:
I migrated quickly to Xiaomi.EU ROM when I purchased Mi6, although I didn't have any problem with (fake) supplied ROM.
I've used my mom's 3T for quite a bit, and the stock Android feel of OxygenOS and frequent and fast update from OnePlus is the big... plus.
MIUI, on the other hand, has very bad notification handling. It feels like you're using Android 4.2/4.4 something. You can't swipe left/right on the lockscreen notifications to make them go away, nor you can't expand it nicely like in pure android (You can do it on notification shade however, using 2 fingers, but the experience just sucks). I tried floatify to emulate the notification in stock android, but it's not enough.
MIUI for Mi6 hasn't provided RAW capture capability AFAIK.
OnePlus 5 has released their kernel source, so dev can easily start working custom ROM on that. But Xiaomi has been notorious keeping the kernel source for a long time (about 6 months+ on previous flagship), that makes the non-MIUI based ROM harder to develop.
I'm currently trying to get LineageOS installed on my Mi6, I'll post more on that LineageOS thread maybe tomorrow evening or the day after.
There is always some plus and minus. I’ve been using Xiaomi 5 Pro and I’m very happy {:m034:}
I used to have One+1 and One+3. Both were great phones.
With perfect Quality/Price factor. Even with EU prices:-/
Now I had been waiting for One+5 and all-around I’m very disappointed wit it.
Reason?
USB 2, No OIS, Software AND Price for EU!!!
It’s not the Flagship killer anymore, it starts to be exclusive peace of equipment.
My main decision point (quality/price factor) dropped down rapidly.
I really prefer MIUI in comparison to Cyanogen (1+1) or OxygenOS (1+3).
With weekly Globe-Roms upgrade (http://mi-globe.com) I’m really satisfied. Mi 5 works very smooth.
OK., it’s with open boot loader and rooted, but all my phoned have been same way in the past
(and will be in future )
I do not remember what I used in the first case, but in 1+3, I changed it to Resurrection Remix ROM.
I agree that all Oneplus society forum support is great. Same with software developers.
I hope that here in MIUI world it will be the same soon.
Especially that after all comparisons of my own, I decided to order Mi 6, 6/128 one.
))
Without any doubt the mi6, and specially if you can buy it at 369USD in some aliexpress offers.
I just Got the Mi 6 pro. Fresh in my hand. It looks great, and feels excellent. It's running very smooth at the moment but hey, is brand new.
I have my 3t on hand.
I think most of the comments are correct. One plus updates quick esp of your on the beta stream, it's smooth and you don't have to deal with MIUI overlay - the OnePlus launcher is excellent.
The Mi 6 is very emotional - what the 3T has and the 5 does not.
Practically, get the 5....you know what to expect. The Mi6 feels great though.....!
I have to edit this: having had the phone for a week - the Mi6 is the smoothest, fastest phone in town right now, period, including the S8 Plus. It's very slick indeed, very, very quick, had an excellent camera and great Sound.
It's very difficult to put the Mi6 down and pick up any of the other phones.

On the same boat. I have been reading about the touchscreen delay problems, bluetooth connectivity and some other bugs and i am hesitant to do the leap of faith on mi6.
One plus 5 on the other hand has such community and gets so many updates that you are sure that software problems will be fixed as soon as possible.

If you find bugs on MI 6,you can tell the developers of Xiaomi to fix them.
I got both the op5 and Mi6, the op5 has an real deal-breaker with the "jelly screen" design flaw. As for now there is no fix and oneplus says its "natural". So the Mi6 is an better choice for me.

i recon that bluetooth bugs have existed with the launch and they are yet to get a 'fix'.
Updates for global seem non existant but on the other hand thats what you get for the mi series. Xiaomi is pretty great for international devices, mainly speaking about the redmi series. Rest seem to be left untouched(Mi mix, note 2, mi5 s etc).
I am gonna hold myself from buying this yet.
Hello guys,
I need your honest opinion.
I need to get a new device. I only use blackberry old phone at this moment.
I am thinking of mi 6 or mi A1? Which one do you think is better?
I am thinking a1 for the price and stock android (what I love with oneplus before) but I like also to have snapdragon 835 and EIS for camera.
EIS also affect the quality of normal photos or videos only? I have shaky hands by the way.
Please advice.
Pricing:
mi a1 = 749 aed
mi 6= 1399 aed
Thanks guys

Which custom ROM would you recommend? I couldn't find any with a battery performance and camera as good as the original one...
Mi 6 is flagship grade. A1 is midrange grade. The answer is very obvious.
imo
Brother! I have both the me A1 and the Mi 6 and the MI6 is so awesome and way better than the A1. Don't get me wrong, I like the A1 but the Mi 6 is so much faster and has many custom roms. If you look for the Mi A1 right now in the XDA forums there are no ROMs as of yet! The size of the Mi 6 is also much better than the size of the A1! I promise you brother!! You cannot go wrong with Mi 6!. It is an absolute pleasure to hold and to use!! And the dual firing speakers makes this a special beast! I personally love the MI6. I am selling my Mi A1
mi 6 is the best choice bro, good luck
Yep I had both the mi 6 was smaller in hand and snappier. Battery life similar on miui. Cam was also better
Mi6 my choice
I'd say if stock is more important to you and you dont mind weaker hardware - Mi A1.
You can install custom rom on mi6, but there will be bugs.
When my nexus died, I needed a replacement phone quick and A1 was not available. Having played with mi6 for a few month now, I'd probably bought A1 if I had a choice... or OnePlus5

Basically two reasons:
I used custom aosp rom on nexus 4 when official support ended and while it works, you need to jump through some hoops to get everything working and wipe the phone (cba).
There is no Oreo roms. Updates will be late at least and most likely there will be bugs.
I know I should just get a pixel, but google has some issues with displays it seems.

Regular sized pixel 2 display is fine. Just the XL if seems.
So don't let it put you off.
Gf has it and is very happy and it is a little bit better than my mi 6 for software updates etc.
Performance is barely better like scrolling in chrome looks nice but google on Google will always be better with their optimizations.
If you need a performance device get one with the SD 835 its an amazing chip.
Blazing fast and no heat even on custom ROMs on Mi 6
