Error 7 - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

So i recently soft brick my phone with a factory reset, seems like my files were corrupted or something. It was stucked at the Oneplus logo even though I could use twrp and fastboot. I eventually contacted Oneplus to help me out. They used remote access to wipe everything and reinstall drivers, so I think it essentially counts as a factory reset. Anyways, they solved my problem and since my phone was still rooted, I went ahead to flash OS 3.2.7 so that I can flash CM 14.1. Installing OS 3.2.7 went off without a hitch, but afterwards whenever I tried to flash CM 14.1, I get this:
Install Zip
failed
Updater process eneded with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/cm-14.1-20161121-
UNOFFICIAL-oneplus3.zip'
Previously, I used the same files and I never had this error, so I have no idea why its appearing now. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

[HELP] My Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML 4GB) dilemma

My Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML 4GB) dilemma:
*•*I unlocked the bootloader with the official bootloader app
*•*I flashed the latest TWRP via adb. In the recovery screen, I saw an android showing error. That's when the panic started.
*•*I Then I rooted my phone with the one click Zenfone root application (available in XDA)
*•*I installed the official TWRP manager from the playstore and flashed with it. That also didn't solve my problem. Actually, a new problem set in. The phone started bootlooping IN RECOVERY.
*•*I rebooted the phone and then flashed an old version of TWRP for my phone. That solved the problem.
*•*Now, I wanted to flash Lineage OS in my phone. According to a YouTube tutorial, I copied my required files (the custom ROM and OpenGAPPS) to my Micro SD and then from twrp's advanced wipe, deleted everything except for Micro SD. I know that was an extremely stupid move but please bear with me.
*•*Deleting everything made things hundred times worse. It seemed impossible to get the phone into recovery mode again. But after a long time, I did.
*•*Now onto flashing the new ROM. I did a factory reset with twrp and then flashed the ROM and immediately got Error 7. By googling a bit, I found that the only way to solve this problem was by deleting the assert lines from the updater-script in meta/com/google/android inside the ROM.
*•* When I reflashed it, the process completed but it showed an error: (E:unknown command [log])
*•* Then I overlooked it again as a quick google said it didn't matter. Then I successfully flashed OpenGAPPS. I rebooted my phone and it kept bootlooping until it was back in the recovery screen. Weird right?
*•*I didn't seem to find any workaround so I decided to restore stock ROM. I downloaded it and flashed it. It succeeded. I rebooted my phone. And. .
*•*My phone now vibrates when I power on the phone and then it shows a black screen. It reboots automatically. I know it does as the phone vibrated periodically after the reboot
*•* I also can't go into the bootloader menu. My phone seems dead but I really need to revive it. I can't afford a new phone. Could you guys help me out please?

Did you flash the MM bootloader compatible TWRP mentioned in the OP for LineageOS? That solves error 7.

[help, please] zenfone 2 brick

Hey, guys. :victory:
I had the ROM LineageOS on my Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML), but I was factory reset by setting the cellphone instead of using the recovery mode. With that, my cell phone looped through the TWRP. I tried everything, clean the cache, clean the system, reinstall Lineage, finally tried to reinstall the ROM stock. But I thought it was taking too long (more than 10 minutes in the same process), so I hung up and tried to call the cell phone again, but it was on the black screen, just vibrating. :crying:
I was able to solve this problem by reinstalling the firmware and stock ROM using xFSTK and ADB Fastboot (I could not use the Asus Flash Tool, I did the whole process manually).
Now, I have another problem, for a change. The stock ROM is Android Lollipop, on the Asus website has update for Android Marshmallow, including already managed to upgrade before migrating to Lineage. But now, when I restart the system to upgrade, it goes into fastboot mode and when I try to get into recovery mode it goes back to the fastboot or when I put in normal boot it starts without updating. I tried to install TWRP again but it is looped in Fastboot and I need to do all the procedure I did before to recover the phone.
Has anyone had a problem like this or do you have any idea how to solve it?
P.S. Sorry for any English error. Google translator. :B

Can't access Razer Phone 1 Bootloader

Hello there,
I just bought a Razer Phone (1), and decided to install LineageOS on it. So I downloaded the system image, and tried to install it with TWRP, but twrp always failed to install Lineage. Then tried to install it with the Lineage recovery update-installer-tool. That worked very well, but after trying to install the addonsu, my Lineage told me, it was broken. Then I tried it again, but I only was able to use the broken-Lineage-recovery with following options: Try again and Factory reset. Both didn't work in any way. After tying to boot into the bootloader manually, only the white battery symbol showed up. As I read somewhere in the web, this symbol means, that the cable is somehow not the right one, but also, another cable and a battery emptying didn't work.
So I'm here: With a kinda bricked phone and no clue what to do.
I need help at this,
thanks in advance.

[Q] Note 8 no way to flash a working stock rom

Hello,
i have a note 8 with 64gb memory and originally wanted to run it with the ligthrom v50. I installed twrp and the rom, unfortunately celluar network didn't work after that. So i decided to go back to the stock rom.
I downloaded the latest fw via samfirm and wanted to flash it via odin. This worked too, but the phone only showed 16Gb memory, so I read that a wipe/factory reset would solve the problem. Unfortunately without success. When I reset the phone, it is always stuck in boot mode. If I then go to recovery I always see "dm-verity verification failed".
I tried to fix this error with flashing e.g. according to this instruction, but unfortunately without success.
i tried other tutorials, but nothing helped. as soon as i do a wipe/factory reset the phone won't work anymore...
Is my cell phone really gone now?

Realme X2 freezes and restarting every 15secs after updating to RMX1993EX_11.C.14

i updated my phone yesterday since there's a new update available and after an hour it restarted and keeps on restarting after 15secs. Even i do something or not, or even in safe mode.
i tried extracting all my files using twrp but upon checking that i still have fastboot bootloader (unlocked) but my twrp is gone and its back to colorOS recovery. i tried online update to keep my data but still the problem continues. i tried flashing twrp using adb but its not detecting my phone since it can only open for 15 secs before it restarts again. but i managed to see that OEM unlocking and usb debugging is turned on im running out of options here. i cant just reflash a new rom/ota without getting my files. any chance anyone can help. Thanks XDA!

UPDATE:
i gave up all my files just make my phone works
i tried changing stock OS to custom ROM (lineage,Evolution) still getting the same issue that its still restarting after 15 secs or just after wifi connection in the setup.
also tried format data, formats cache, dalvic, system and data in twrp then back to fastboot.
since ""--disable verity" is unrecognizable what i did is just flash is "fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" then flash twrp then flash the rom again but still im getting the same outcome.
tried going back to stock (got the ozip file from realme)but getting zip compatibility error and after i deleted compatibility.zip then getting error 7 so tried deleting asserts from updater-script but still getting no where so i tried using orange fox recovery. it does install but still the issue persist.
any other ideas for me to try guys?
TIA
You must be flashing wrong file.

It seems like you're flashing incorrect OS version onto your device. Note there are 3 different versions of realme x2. i.e rmx1991, rmx1992, rmx1993 with each having different versions of their own.
I've seen rmx1992ex here on xda for custom roms but my device came with rmx1992aex version.
So check your's and flash correct file.
