Hi, I created this Program so that you can unbrick your moto g 2nd gen, or restore it to the stock firmware! Just run the script and it will do every thing for you!

INSTRUCTIONS
1.DOWNLOAD THE exe file(LP OR KK)
2.COPY IT INTO THE FOLDER WHERE YOU HAVE EXTRACTED YOUR FIRMWARE
3.RUN THE EXE FILE
4.OPEN README.TXT AND READ IT. THERE'S A LIST OF FILES YOU REQUIRE IN IT.
5.BOOT YOUR PHONE INTO BOOTLOADER MODE, PLUG IT IN AND CONTINUE.
6.SELECT IF YOU WANT TO LOCK BOOTLOADER OR NOT.
7.EXE WILL DO THE TALKING
8.SELECT IF YOU WANT TO FLASH A CUSTOM RECOVERY (CWM/PHILZ)
8.ENJOY!!
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE SELECTED TO LOCK BL AND YOU GET STUCK IN A BOOTLOOP, RUN RunThisIfYourPhoneDoesntBootAfterBLlock.bat as administrator

Will work from anywhere. You can flash this on any rom. The only thing is you should be able to boot into bootloader mode.:thumbup:

Hi i have locked bootloader, can i use this for downgrade from Lollipop at kitkat or i will fist unlock bootloader? Thanks

I'm not sure is you should have an unlocked bootloader for this. Anyways, I guess it should work. You can try.

I don't have never unlock the bootloader, my moto g is All stock...

i just downloaded RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_5.0.2_LXB22.46-28_cid7_CFC.xml this has 5 system.img_sparsechunk files and this script only flashes 4 ! would it not cause bootloop

I think it's obvious that the OP was refering to flashing stock Kit Kat firmware. After all the thread was started a couple of days ago, and the lollipop firmware was uploaded 6-7 hours ago.

Thank you for your efforts taking this possible, i just wanna ask you if you could upload this file "RETBR_XT1068_5.0.2_LXB22.46-28_cid12_CFC.xml.zip" into a best cloud storage service like dropbox or megaupload.. . it just because i tried download it 3 times =\ and it fail, stuck on 60% at 30kbps

Ok, so is the file on file factory? If yes, I have the secret to download that file from file factory.
Download Advanced Download Manager from the Play Store.
Under download settings, change all preferences like in the screenshot.
Then start the download and keep it downloading overnight.( only because that's the time we have the most patience)
Wake up, and you'll have the file downloaded!

Just for make sure, i need to unlock my bootloader and install TWRP recovery?
I've found TWRP 2.8.4.0 for titan, should it work?

Maybe unlocking bootloader is necessary but twrp is not necessary. And that's for sure:thumbup:

So I installed all 4 files and got a "Device does not have DRK, please install DRK first. press any button...?" Not sure what this means.

Installed all 4 files, my 32Gb s6e has only 16GB storage. Im recovering it by using smart switch, hope this help.

You should have more space, unless you got backup and stuff you didn't delete and didn't wipe cache and factory reset, if that's so yes you will end up with 20gb or less.

I have the same problem. Flashed only the AP file in Odin and it booted, but now my 64GB shows up as a 16GB.

DRK = Device Root Key, if damaged your device won't boot up.
besides that's 4 files firmware you can't flash AP only must flash all 4 via Odin after wiping cache and factory reset.
the 4 files should/will fix DRK problem & capacity problem.
if DRK problem remains you will need to flash 5.1..1 firmware & boot up then update via OTA, or i can fix it through my service box if rooted.

So what I had to do was take MM firmware from T-Mobile that I downloaded from Sam Mobile, I extracted it and took out the cache file, repackaged it without the cache file, flashed it with Odin and the error went away.

Thanks for the advices, guys. I did manage to "fix" it. I used smart switch to restore firmware, odined TWRP and adb sideloaded Supersu 2.71. Phone works fine now (besides wifi bug not remembering pass). However, don't have root on my phone. Weird.

T-Mobile Rom File on AT&T SM-G925A Phone
Has anyone attempted to use this ROM on a SM-G925A (AT&T Variant of Galaxy S6 Edge) or have any idea if this would work? Recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and told the phone would work fine after unlock. Been having lots of issue with the phone attempting to us Wifi Calling. Thinking a T-Mobile ROM might solve these issues.

Please Help. .. Cannot root or install TWRP on Developers Edition Note 4 {SOLVED}

Hello folks.
I've have/had a rooted Verizon Developers Edition Note 4 (KitKat 4.4) for years now but decided I needed to upgrade to 6.0 since most apps wont run on 4.4 anymore. It had TWRP and Supersu.
So, I installed the latest Android firmware (6.0 Marshmallow) on my Verizon Developers Edition Note 4 (SM-N910V) found here (the full name of the TAR file is "N910VVRU2CQF2_N910VVZW2CQF2_N910VVRU2CQF2_HOME.tar.md5").
I installed it with Odin 3.12.3
It installed fine but I guess it erased my root and TWRP.
So when trying to install TWRP via Odin 3.10.6 as specified in this thread it comes up with the following

I don't remember it having this problem before.... idk its been so long. I also tried this with Odin 3.12.3 and same result.
Anyway I went to try to install TWRP via this adb method and that came up with this....
What?! Please help!! What should I do?? Again I have the Developers Edition... Yes I made a full system TWRP backup onto my SD card before doing any of this but since I cant access TWRP idk how I would revert (not that I want to anyway - I'd like to keep Marshmallow 6.0 since apps are not longer compatible with KitKat 4.4).

If you get a "Retail Bugs":
Download Rom Stock Original: N910VVZW2BPA1,
Put in Download mode and install on Odin;
Get Root Temp in Kingroot, and Bootloader Unlock (is a Mod-Retail-to-Develop); (link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...guide-step-step-stock-n910v-6-0-1-to-t3426905)
And, Download mode, put TWRP.
(Take Stock Rom in TWRP!! Not in Odin!!)

Your Note4 is not Developer Edition...
(Remove the battery and look written on the device if it really is a developer edition.)

and you get any rom stock (not in Odin, TWRP!).

HELP!!!! got to step 40 and now the calibration is OFF (i have to press screen an inch above the object im pressing!!!) I read about the #2663# but that doesnt work on verizon phones!!! help

Did you unlock your bootloader as done on this page and step 24 here aswell... ?
If so then you should be able to install TWRP 3.0.2 via Odin in download mode after you manage to do that.... DO NOT USE A TAR MAKER OR SOME OTHER WAY OF OBTAINING TWRP AS IT WILL RUIN YOUR CALIBRATION.... MAKE SURE IT IS AN OFFICIAL TAR.MD5 file that you use!

So you are on marshmallow with a locked bootloader? Just to be clear , you kind of just jumped in at the end of the thread stating you have the same problem (u dont he messed up a dev device by taking a retail update then complicated the problem by using a bizarre method to flash custom recovery and now his calibration is messed up) or did you simply mean your device keeps failing flash?

Please try samsung emergency recovery software. Im not sure what you are doing wrong but this method will completely erase and reset your phone.

Flash the stock firmware and ensure it auto reboots into recovery and completes the update.

It won't work for your device, this is for j710
I'm using an Indian version on my Brazilian version, and everything works fine.

aren't j701f , j710f , j7 nxt , j7 neo , j7 core , j7 2016 the same? i cant find any difference..and can you give me a official firmware link for my device?

No, j7 nxt and 2016 are different devices, but using the same hardware. (Samsung's fault )

No, do not reboot. But grab some logs from logcat and dmesg (kernel log) after update process fails. You just need the last lines when you grab it right after the error message.
1. Start update process
2. As soon as it fails open a terminal app and execute
Code:
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt
dmesg > /sdcard/kernel.txt
3. Find the logs in your intenal storage and have a look at the last lines of it.

You need to execute those commands as root (su).

But the updated firmware images on your device. Extract and upload them for other users, so they could be flashed on their devices to the inactive slot via fastboot. To know which partitions are needed you could extract a payload.bin of a full rom OTA update in other countries.

Will Not work he have an usa model and the usa inrcemantal Update will fail when he have eu full rom on his phone

I guess, there should be at least one user in the OP 11 forum here at XDA with a successful installed OTA update for US region. On this device you have the fully updated entire firmware images, that can be copied, uploaded and flashed on all the other devices that are not able to load the incremental OTA update due to root.

in the photo it looks like it couldn't download otas if you look at this (that's not a real rom name)
or an extra rom that is not intended for everyone " don't take it too seriously ")

How would he get rid of the problem?

Is this a china op11 with oos on it ?

Yes, I guess he also had A_07 when he received the phone
I had used OxygenUpdater and it had no issues going A_08 ,

Than you have to download the rom and flash it over fastbootd and than flash the cos image back (only oplusstanvbk.img needed from cos 13 a10 build)

He somehow doesn't want to make any effort in understanding the phone...
