I'm not a fan that they're made in china knowing quite a few Chinese devices brands have had backdoors and such found on them this year. And i would like to install Remix OS on a MX box if i get one. but im not sure how as Remix website doesn't give a guide.. Id be kinda scared to enter my Netflix details on a chinese OS

Nokia N1 identification and Flashing Taiwan Firmware Help please!

Hi guys,
So i would love to purchase a Nokia N1 but it seems that the Taiwanese version is ultra rare and I really need google play services.
Anyway I have been looking on the forums and its been a long time since I have flashed anything and I am a bit scared about all the horror stories of bricked N1's and the lack of very clear noob guides on how to convert to Tawienese firware and actual have it working without issue.
Can any one tell me if it is worth purchasing the chinese version and will I actually be able to get it play services working or is it too much of a hassle for a noob and still too unstable when flashed?
I also wondered if the packaging label for the taiwan model differs from the chinese model? Is the Taiwanese model manufactured in Shenzhen or in Taiwan?
I have a picture of the label of the one I was going to purchase but I think it may be chinese version....
Any info and help identifying it would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks
ship with Android 5.0 can flash Taiwanese version even if it is Chinese version.
I cannot recommend at buying Nokia N1. Device itself is fantastic but I cannot say the same about software. If you get the Chinese version with Android 5.1.1 (very likely) there is no way to downgrade it to previous 5.0 Android version that can be rooted. Without root there is no Google Play. There are some guides how to downgrade 5.1.1 version to 5.0 but you will only brick your device if trying any of those methods. There is almost zero community support for Nokia N1 and because of this I don't believe we are ever going to see a root for newer Android 5.1.1 version.
If you need Google Play (Android device without Google Play is a crap) please do yourself a favor and buy something else like Samsung Galaxy S2 8.0

Thanks for the info. I ended up finding a real nokia N1 on eBay from taiwan with Googleplay services installed, so all good. Don't need root so think I will just update normally through OTA. Should be OK I think. I agree chinese one looks like too much hassle.

Will be any chance for see Beelink MiniMXIII supported?

Hi all,
I'm going to buy the Beelink MiniMXIII but I see that it's not supported. However I see in Remix OS official site that there is flash file for some Amlogic S905 devices (Sen5 S905 and Unuiga S905) as this Beelink.
Can I install Remix OS in Beelink MiniMXIII?
Thank you very much.
There are some Amlogic S905 devices that officially support Remix OS 2.0 but not on Jide's support list:-
- Tronsmart Vega S95 Pro/Meta/Telos have optional/experimental Remix ROMs created, maintained, and supported by Tronsmart itself.
- Vensmile MXQ Remix PC is Remix OS 2.0 out of the box.
From my research (not confirmed), the Tronsmart S95 Pro/Meta/Telos maybe the same to Tronsmart MX PLUS-S/PLUS-M-PLUS-L correspondingly. The MXQ Remix PC maybe the same in hardware to MXQ Pro (I read from a thread here that it's, by its manufacturer, confirmed possibly flashable with MXQ Pro ROM)
Interesting point is, these S905 devices mostly share the same hardware, except for Wifi/Bluetooth chip. And someone may flash a Remix 2.0 ROM created/MODed for another device (with different wireless chip) into it and everything but Wifi & BT will work. The flashing can be done easily on every S905 devices via Amlogic's Flashing Tool.
So, I believe if you know exactly what wireless chip was used in Beelink mini MX III, you can possibly flash a Remix 2.0 Rom for other device that share the wireless chip and get it work. Personally, I think S905 device flashing is rather safe, but it depends on the cost of your device if it's worth giving it a try.

Downgrade A520F from Oreo to Nougat if Samsung already blocked downgrade

I have moved all of our devices to A520F and TAB A (2016) runing LineageOS 14.1 and I am very happy with it. The bad side is one of the A520F, which aleady costs me 2 days because wether heimdall nor odin (i setup a windows machine to test it under windows too) replied with an valuable error when trying to flash nougat, except failed. I finally found out the at some version (i think August) it is not possible to downgrade the bootloader. Now I have one device running with an unsupported LineageOS 15.1 and had to hand it out to our Boss, because all other device had their new owners. She is kinda unhappy, that hers is different from others , but we cannot buy more A5's just to maybe receive one with an downgradeable Oreo version and trash all others.
My question is now is there any possibility to work around this and downgrade her phone to Nougat to be able to run 14.1 on it too. Any crack, special keys or whatever.
Thank you very much for any hint.

Not at the moment, but 15.1 won't be too far away.
My experience: Downgrad is possible, but you can't downgrade all parts. Not 100% sure, but just don't downgrade BL.

Getting up to speed - Lenovo Z6Pro / zippo

Welcome to the Lenovo Z6 Pro community!
To make it short, this phone has great hardware, but not so good software and support from Lenovo, hence the low price. If you recently received it, here is in a nutshell what you should know about ROMs :
- There are 2 type of official Stock roms which are subject to official OTA. They can always be flashed to upgrade or reset phone by using Qfil even with locked bootloader ; making the Z6 Pro virtually unbrickable :
o Chinese Rom: the most up to date (11.1.105 is Android P; 11.5.x is Android Q). High performance and stable, kept up to date; but only English available for system; need to use apps for more languages and bypass notification restrictions.
o Global or RoW (rest of the world) 11.0.405: Considered a cheap initiative outsourced to a third party to sell phones internationally. It has not been updated for a while and possibly won’t be anymore. It is Android P based, but stable and includes many languages.
- Then there are now very good custom roms thanks to Lucchetto! First really good and stable of them is RevengeOS. Obviously, they require unlocking BL and installing TWRP. Many guides available to help doing that. More custom roms are available: Havoc, AICP, CRdroid, LineageOS, Pixel experience plus… available here + and on telegram group.
All have all hardware features working including all 5 lenses thank to stock Cam app ported to Custom roms also by Lucchetto!
For more info, read threads here, join Telegram group or ask question here.
Enjoy, be grateful and stay safe!
bought the above unit quite some time back in 2018. using row 11.0.405
recently request to Lenovo to unlock bootloader, till today no unlock code arrived
Any one in here (XDA) Please produce an unlock bootloader to this Lenovo Z6 Pro
thanking you'all in advance

Iqoo neo3 Questions

Hello, Im new and just looking for help,
Got the iqoo neo3 for the specs but did not realized that the OS is in Chinese. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to run stock android 11 or remove the Origin OS. Is there a stock ROM that is in English? Like a Origin Os in English? Any comments would be appreciated
