After flashing the OOS beta builds for nougat, it seems like none of my apps (aside from a select few) are able to access the internal storage of my phone. Screenshots gives me an error because it says my storage is full even though I have about 40GB free and I am unable to save pictures from any apps other than Chrome. I have the same problem on Open Beta 8 and 9 and before I flashed both of these I did a full wipe of my phone including internal storage and formatted data to f2fs. Does anyone else have the same problem? Any solutions?

It seems like just about everything. I can't save pictures from my Reddit app, Google messenger, Facebook, or Facebook messenger. The only app that seems to work is solid explorer because it still lets me move files.

Are you running stock? Your tag indicates twrp as your recovery. I have been running community builds and the nougat betas pure stock installed...I have none of the issues you speak of.
I would suggest downloading the full rom (version 9) , factory reset the device and clean flash via adb sideload the way oneplus describes on their site... then let google restore your apps...

I might give that a shot on beta 9 but that's how I installed beta 8 and I've had the issue since then.
Did you happen to adb backup your data and copy it back?

Haven't found a solution yet, I'm thinking of flashing 3.2.8 and just waiting for the official nougat release.
You never answered my question I asked because I had the problem and solved it.
Did you convert to f2fs file system and then restore your sdcard contents?

Hi
I have been using the stock HTC Sense Android releases since I bought my phone about 1.5 years ago. Now that HTC, according the rumors, are no longer updating the HTC One X, I have decided to use CyanogenMod instead. For now I am using the stable 10.2 release, but I am planning on installing the 11.0 nighly, just to try it out. If the current nightly is working great for me I might keep it.
The only thing that I am concerned about is my apps and data. According to the posts in the ROM-section I can just flash a new release on top of an old one, but what will have happen to my data, settings and apps? Will the stay on the phone just like with the OTA-updates from HTC?

Yes All the data on the "sdcard" is still gonna be there.
Images, music, or something you downloaded is still going to be there.
However you will lose apps, and their data.
Usually we back them up using Titanium Backup. (Requires Root)
Restoring System apps' Data isn't recommanded for CM 11.0
If you got more questions, I'll answer them.
I wish you good luck

Hi
Thanks for the quick response.
I know that the data that is on my "sdcard" will stay as they are, but all apps that I download from Google Play are installed in the NAND-memory and normally when I change the ROM I do a wipe data/factory reset from CWM recovery.
But as stated in this post I can do the following when switching between CM11.0 releases:
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 11.0:
Copy the CM 11.0 zip to your SD card
Boot into Recovery
DO A BACKUP
Flash the CM 11.0 zip from SD card
Flash the boot.img included in the CM 11.0 zip via Fastboot if necessary. If in doubt, flash it.
Reboot

By just looking at these steps it doesn't seem like it will remove any of my existing apps or settings.

I believe it's better to wipe data, and cache.
I am not sure if it works without wiping data and cache, and also not sure if it doesn't remove your apps.
So again, if you're rooted, just install Titanium backup. and follow the usual steps to flash the rom.
Hello everyone !!

Tried the latest gapps from link by pawitp?
Also ,if it didn't work, format /system and flash rom again. Then flash gapps.Don't worry you won't lose internal SD data, only your apps will be gone.

Hey guys, CyanOS 13.1 OTA is pushed to the Swifts.
Changelog/features: https://cyngn.com/blog/cyanogen-os-13-1
Want to get it but rooted?
Wait for the correct zip to appear on this page (not there as of 12.08), then download it and install it using a recovery: https://cyngn.com/support
Discuss stuff below
COS 13.1 is on https://cyngn.com/support now.
Did anyone dirty flash from COS 13.0 ?

Works fine.
Flash 13.1, then superSU, then TWRP recovery, then reboot.
Reboot takes very long, be patient and have more than 50% battery.

There's no reason to share the OTA, as you can't install it, but here's the zip you're looking for: http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/crackling/cm-13.1-ZNH2KAS29G-crackling-signed-d4ad5010c5.zip
Does anyone install the OTA on an cryped phone. After my last update from 12.1 to 13.0 I can't decrypt my phone with my passphrase. So it would be cool to know it is working as I use my phone as a daily driver.

I don't know if it has any decryption problems, but dirty flashing lower level updates causes less issues (in this case, instead of 12.1 to 13.0 you are doing a 13.0 to 13.1 and instead of an android 5.1 to 6.0 you are doing a 6.0 to 6.0)
I compared cm-13.0 with cm-13.1 'fastboot' partitions and only following ones differ:
boot.img
emmc_appsboot.mbn
recovery.img
system.img
So I guess upgrade (even dirty) should be seamless.
I have no Wileyfox Swift but I maintain those of 2 friends.
I'll upgrade (and root + twrp) them without factory reset, just dalvik cache clean.
Updated (rooted) and slightly broke my Apps2SD in the fact that it is always and invariably asking me for a second soft reboot after initial startup (each taking a long time to complete) for it to be able to properly mount the second partition. This is never a problem that I have had to do prior to the update. Not a major fault but a nuisance nevertheless.

I remember having limitations in previous Android versions, but in this one, anything that isn't an uninstallable system app I can move to my SD card
Did the update on my cryped not rooted phone. And the update went through without any problems. Only Twitter mod was not working but after clearing the data for this mod and doing a reboot it is working.

Many thanks. I was under the impression that this would only move the app (apk) itself but leave all the paraphernalia associated with it (data, obb... etc.) behind on internal memory. I will give it a try.

It is definitely an update, but not available as full package. You can install it and reinstall the recovery (download via updater app and locate it, copy to separate directory, install 13.1 full, install ota, install twrp, install super SU)
But i have not tried it because i am on holiday without a pc...
Report back if that's working!

Do you know where exactly the updater app downloads it to?
Installed the new update yesterday. It looks like a security update. I think that this will fix the latest issues with the Qualcomm chip. But I don't know it for sure.

AFAIK, Swift 2 ks not officially supported by Lineage OS, so no. You may be able to find an unofficial version though.
Cannot dirty flash
I currently have thomson.aa's unofficial lineage os build installed. This update shows up in the updater app, but after I download it, it says the zip is corrupt or unsigned and it does not let me install it. If I manually download it and try to install via TWRP, it fails saying "can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset". I would hate to have to reinstall all my stuff, though. Is there some way around this? Or is there something wrong with the update?
Got no problems installing it via TWRP. Works great, stable so far.
crdroid was fine too, lots of special settings (little too much for me), but I prefer a ROM with regular OTA updates. Thank you beroid anyway.
P.S. My grammar help changes "beroid" to "heroic"
Can this be installed over the top of cm13.0 nightly?

You basically asked the same question in 2 threads??? So as this isn't really thomson.aa's problem, I'll answer you here.
I dirty flashed from stock -> cm13 -> crDroid -> thomson.aa's LOS14 without issue. I tried with the official release and got the same as you. So after editing the installer script to force it to install, it did. But once it booted, everything kept force closing. It just wasn't happening.
So I wiped data and chose to restore my backup from google. I just installs most of your apps but it saves a bit of time. Still need to set things up properly though.

I figured this might be due to either
- Something being wrong with the currently installed build
- Something being wrong with the one I'm trying to install
That's why I posted in both places. Sorry if that is not the thing to do.
Thanks for your reply. I guess I'll have to do another reinstall then.

I have no wifi, too (after trying a dirty install over an old CM13 that resulted in an error). Here's the issue in their bugtracker, I think, in case anyone else experiences this.
Got the same issue when trying to go back to CM13 now -___-
Seems strange that I've had no wifi issues. I've tried turning it on and off with no problems.
A few (maybe patronising) thoughts:
Did you guys check the md5 hash?
Which recovery did you use? I used TWRP 3.0.2.5
Were you previously on COS13.1.2? I was.
I downloaded fresh open-gapps for the install - ARM64, 7.1, nano.
I wiped system, dalvik, cache. Installed LOS14.1, su, gapps in that order.
The dirty boot left me with lots of force closures so I wiped data, dalvik and cache, completed the wizard after booting and all was fine.

I was on the latest CyanogenMod snapshot.
I wiped data, dalik and cache, then installed lineage, gapps and su. Restoring a nandroid backup of CM13 did bring the wifi back again.
I then wanted to restore my backup of lineage, because I already transferred most apps and settings and don’t care to much for the wifi (hoping it will be solved in not too far future), but TWRP failed to recover, getting stuck while restoring data, only restoring the system partition. Strangely, after this, the wifi worked, however I experienced many FCs. After wiping data again, the wifi was broken again, the MAC adress showing as 02:00:00:00:00:00.
Wiping system, I tried to reinstall lineage without any extras, but TWRP just got stuck again with no progress being made after detection of the partitions. Strangely, restoration of the lineage backup worked now, including data The original problem persists, of course.
I mentioned COS13.1.2 specifically because it flashes partitions other than system that may affect your situation. CM doesn't. If you've had COS13.1.2 installed previously then these other partitions should be up to date.
If you're having inconsistent results using TWRP3.0.3 it may be worth trying 3.0.2.5.

Hi, If you setup the lockscreen on your ROM you will encrypt the internal storage and TWRP will ask you the password to decrypt it.
If u remove the lockscreen before entering recovery you won't have to decrypt the internal storage.
Thanks but some kind souls on discord helped me out, using a disable encryption zip fixed it.
