I wants to test this , my anxiety : I don't have a way to test out even my builds . Am on b370 . each time I build a ROM I have to revert back to b340/350 . so that's the reason why miui build sucks in getting quick updates .
It's a joy in testing a new ROM which I can't do so.Again my Bad :cyclops:

The same , as fast as my thanks count increases . the more number of Roms we will have for 5x . most probably . i will work on samsung A5 rom port when my thanks count goes above 1k.

Extract boot.img from the ROM zip and flash it via recovery.
Check if it boots.
If it still stuck at boot logo ,probably its an incomplete download

Here are some screenies for this super snappy ROM, great and solid work once again by @mumith3

Just tested through clean flash with opengapps pico.
Everything works lte,bluetooth,wifi, theming, root
But when installing a custom font through Fonster ( as i do as usual ), i got bootloop at restart: so avoid this app : )
Otherwise, rom seems nice.
No issue found

did you do something special ?

Welll, sorry for the mishap, mate,
I test every rom extensively before uploading & posting :/
it was working just fine...
if you can, get logs via adb during boot sequence... its a pretty tough to take for a normal user though...
& as you said it booted just fine when flashed boot img separately... I'm kinda confused why moght it happen then

What is a LogCat?
A "LogCat" is for debugging applications / Android system. When applications / Android crash the output the "explanation" for the crash, the Exception Stacktrace, to a Log. This log can be saved and help developers to fix the crash.
What is it supposed to do?
It will help to solve your questions, if your asked for a LogCat it is always useful.
How can I get a LogCat?
Prerequisites:

USB cable for your device

Instructions:

Install your device driver for using adb. Everything you need will you find here
Download adb executable for your OS (Download: Windows | Linux | Mac). Paste it somewhere.
Connect your android device.
Verify if "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging" is checked, if not, simply check it.
Open a command prompt (windows) or terminal (linux / mac). How to do it: On Windows: windows + r > enter "cmd" (without quotes) > click enter | On Linux: You don't know how to open a terminal? LOL | On Mac: Type Terminal into Spotlight and open it
CD to the directory where the adb executable is located. On Windows: Go to the directory where you downloaded the adb executable, Shift+Right Click and select "Open Console" (or similar) | On Linux / Mac: Rightclick in the directory and select "Open Terminal here" (or simply CD into the directory)
Type in your cmd/terminal: adb devices to verify your device is properly connected.
If your device is properly selected, type in adb logcat to show the mighty and magic logcat aka stacktrace.
Reproduce your error (or whatever) on your device.
Right after, paste the whole cmd / terminal window into a paste-service like [url]http://pastebin.com/[/url] and send it to us.

NOTE: if you still encounter Force Close setting up FINGERPRINT SECURITY, kindly go thru : "Settings > Security > Screen lock" , then choose your type , before you come back to set Finger print.

It's a little light on mods but a good looking uncluttered rom which I guess is trying to offer performance over mods . I like it .

Im in the US. And i don't know honestly my theory is that the mods are out of control and are being way too harsh. They pick up every off topic thing to be an offense even on an of topic thread which is weird. Once, i even got permbanned because they mistook me as a bully with a similar name. I had to make a whole new account! Anyway, the developer who ported most of the ROMS keeps uploading and removing them, you'd be considered lucky if you have a few! I want to port some from the MDTK varient to the qualcomm but i need to still learn a few things before it becomes possible lol

Yeah bro . I am in Europe . I am glad to say EVERYTHING minus Volte works on all the mtk Roms so way more stable ..
Since I'm in Europe I couldn't advise you on where to buy but just keep in mind the Amazon variant can't be unlocked .....
There are three prominent developers building from source so the ROMs are quality and we have a Telegram group up .
iykeDROID is the most active and really going through the ROM list like a storm and all his ROMs are working and he is keen on looking into Oreo if he has time and can get bringups for Oreo
I'm sure you can get the info you need to build from source for Qualcomm but trying to use mtk stuff on Qualcomm just won't work well bro cos its a different chip ..
You would be better off going through XDA university to learn how to build from source and then ask someone to help you with source trees and then to build
Porting is a real pain with many bugs unless you get lucky and find an almost identical device running the ROM you wanna port
Either way I'd like to think we are a bunch of easy going dudes in mtk but it always pays trying to be friendly and respectful ....usually gets you what you need .
I like XDA but as with everything in life people can feel underappreciated or get offended easily if they trying to do positive development as a passion
Same guys who love trying ROMs and modding phones can sometimes forget this is for development and free so be greatful for what you get however buggy it is
Anyway if you join mtk it will just increase the chances of more development and more fun . No idea where you would pick up the mtk variant in the states ....

But just some apps change the language, the options like settings and the general configuration are not in spanish. When I put the locate Español México o Español España it looks a sentence that say: "some apps dont change the language"

Bug : Settings force close . When trying to add fingerprint I get fc in settings . When changing other settings my device reboots ...not everytime but enough to be a pain .

Cardinal-AOSP is a Custom ROM which was initially based on AOSPB, then we changed our mind and rebased it to AOSP-RRO, to get better compatibility with most of the devices. just download winrar(7 zip didn't work for me) and notepad++(for proper indentation)
go to meta inf -> com -> google -> android -> updator script and delete the assert lines till the ui lines. simple AF

Now I'm facing two bugs. Bugs or not I can't actually tell cuz it can be something which is absent totally from oreo. I'm using It on 43, open gapps Pico, and absolutely 0 customizations. I found these errors before restoring data which am doing now
First is facelock from trusted face option. If you want logs I can give but how should I give for something that isn't exactly a bug, is the feature taken back after nougat?
2nd I've a class 10 128 gb SD card at exfat. I everytime I reboot I need to set it up which itself isn't a problem but all apps needs to be setup. Again I'm ready to post logcats but when should I extract them? After rebooting?
Rest if I face bugs will definitely tell you. But battery heating is hugely decreased

So, the battery life is pretty good.
No heating problems so far.
Rooted using Magisk.
Flashed TOSSUG BabyFish kernel by @tywinlannister7 and it works perfectly alright.
Smooth AF.
I didn't face any problems with the camera, but only flash is not working.
VoLTE didn't need toggling either unlike the other Oreo ROMs.
Overall, I have found a new daily driver thanks to @keerten :highfive:

Actually face lock thingy willbe there soon it isn't in source tho i will search on it nd regard that micro sd card i havn't faced any ... So clean install is always recommended nd do no restore :3

I didn't use any thrid-party app, it worked automatically.
Although if you are facing problems, try the Footej App. It worked for me in other Oreo ROMs with camera issue.
And as far as flash goes, I have no clue.

Clean flash it was. And yeah okay. I'll try with my fat32 SD card today and report.

Did anyone try using a 3rd party app for flash? It is reported to work on other oreo roms.

Flashing Instruction:: Just Wipe Dalvik/ART Cache + Cache + System + Vendor + Data, now Flash > ROM + GApps + Magisk + No_verity_V4.
If your Device rebooted to recovery/fast-boot mod or getting bootloop,
You need Format userdata first (Mandatory) Here is How ? Backup all your internal data first, (Don't blame me you'll lost everything), Go to recovery, Select wipe,Select format data,Type "yes" ( Without quotes),Swipe.You're decrpted now, Now Flash ROM.
Encryption:: Not tested.
After Flashing ROM if getting app/settings FCs:: First Describe your procedure of flashing,Please Provide logs if you're getting issue.

Okay my first custom ROM test for OnePlus 5... Is there coming face unlock and swipe up gestures? Really fast and smooth. Camera hdr photos are not great at all. Normal photos are much better.

Downgrade to Magisk 18.0, I have the same problem with 18.1...don't know what's the issue

Same here.. not working.

NFC doesn't work for me. Tested with two different contactless payment solutions. It lights up NFC icon, but it doesn't work anyway.

Amazing initial version fagyi .. basic functionality seems to be working really good ...
as for bugs i found so far .. i cant enable navbar .. enabling navbar enables some guestures but no soft keys are visible .. .
- full guesture navigation is also partially working .. (back guesture dont work)..
- seek bar from pull down notification bar is also partially working (cannot seek current playing song)
- battery percentage in status bar cant be made visible ( it always remain hidden even when selecting "show next to battery icon" option..
also i have been successfully able to install pixel launcher and make it work .. (to test if navbar needed pixel launcher to work) ..
rest of the stuff is working really good ... only rare stutters once in a while ..
Really enjoying the new flavor of android 10

yeah usb tether and miracast behaving oddly ..
btw .. auto rotate button is it showing up for u ?? the one which showed up in pie when we rotated the screen .. i think its another upstream bug as fagyi mentioned ..

Btw if anyone want to test Pixel 4 Launcher .. here is the flashable Zip for android 10 :

after flash it will show quickstep crash ... just go to settings from notifications shade and set pixel launcher as default .
after install use it for 5 -10 min for things to settle and smoothen out ...

Bluetooth keeps stopping.
I can have phone call with Bluetooth earbuds but as soon as I play any media it keeps disconnecting.
More test shows turning "HD audio: aptx" off solves the problem.
It also does not remember bluetooth volume after disconnection.

Also for wifidisplay needed few blobs.
What i read from logcat:
Wifidisplay needs blobs update missing one or a few for 10.
IMS - Volte symbol issue showed up, maybe after this will be solved we get volte on our device but not sure.

i am guessing gesture navigation is broken because hardware buttons are not being disabled completely after enabling soft keys ? do u think that would need changes in kernel or it will be solved with upstream fixes @fagyi ?

i am without magisk here and i just rebooted to check this .. i can confirm the fingerprints got deleted after reboot ..
Bluetooth working fine for me however .

Anyone is successful with Magisk 19.4? After installing it, I don't see the Magisk Manager app. I've tried to install the manager manually but it said no Magisk installed.

my phone use the 'PixelExperience_pme-10.0-20191119-1924-UNOFFICIAL.zip' version.
i found three place not perfect.
one, there were no long screenshot like pie version you fixed.
two, there were no weather display beside the main screen wedgit, there only show date and week. And the main screen wedgit can't be remove, it always be there.
three, no Bluetooth icon display when it works

hi there .. your problem number 1 & 2 is not a problem actually .. this just the way rom is designed to work ... no scrolling screenshots in pixel experience... try other roms like PE plus or CRdroid if you want that ,,, weather widget is not movable in Pixel launcher which is the default launcher in this rom ...
for problem 3 i cannot understand what u mean ,,, bluetooth icon shows when its connected .. for example say a headset ...

Hello @fagyi , i dont know if its possible or not ..or if its ok,, id like to make a feature request ... is it possible to add option to turn off capacitive buttons .. and their backlight ?? iv made it possible manually .. but it resets after every restart .. would be awesome to have that feature built in if possible .

thanks for your reply! The weather problem has been solved by app named 'weawow', i'm Chinese , Google framework can't work without VPN in china. but Android 10 pixel is more fluid than android 9 pie, it is wonderful version. the third proplem is not big deal. maybe it just like another two 'just the way rom is designed to work'. so ignore that!

I found that the Google camera stuck when switching to a slow snap, and the latest version of the HTC camera (the Google store) backfired when switching screen sizes. Maybe it has something to do with the system, so I'll just have to use Google camera for now

I wanted to ask this, too, if Fagyi can make HTC camera as stock camera, it would be great, camera is really bad side of the rom. The little issues are lights of capacitive buttons and brightness of ambient

can you please suggest me one with fast "viewfinder" ...whatever i checked all of them are with very slow viewfinder from the second time i start the cam.

That's right but rear camera is really slow, I've turned of some features but it's still slow

bro we need to understand that the Gcams out there are just ports ... and even those are not specifically developed for our device .. its a miracle that "any" gcam apk is even working for us ... we dont get smooth 24 fps viewfinder like in stock app .. but after turning off "ALL" unnecessary features .. i am able to get a viewfinder which is pretty acceptable 20-22 FPS for capturing daily life pictures .. recently i took my HTC 10 to a mountainside trip with me and the pictures i got were simply stunning .. much better than any other stock HTC or snapcam would have captured.. its like u have a to choose between one.. either choose better viewfinder framerates or better pic results ... so atm if we want best results from our HTC cam .. GCAM is our friend ...
The features that u need to turn off include "ESPECIALLY" the 'motion capture' and "GOOGLE PHOTOS integration" which iv noticed it badly effects the frame rate of viewfinder .. and to improve things even more .. turn off lens suggestions .. viewfinder hints ..gesture control .. dirty lens suggestions... night sight hints ... horizon hints .. social share ...frequent faces .. remember the Motion capture needs to be turned off from advanced section of app settings otherwise it wont do ..
that said .. i am looking at more apk almost daily and will soon update gcam thread with new apk which i think is better than previous ones

i really want to use this rom. but you know cant live without wifi and cant unhide ssid.

yesterday i installed pixel experience on my htc 10. i had to come back to maximus hd because that rom didnt connect to hidden ssid wifi. but to my surprise when i installed maximus i lost my imei and baseband version(although radio version is shown in download mode) and fingerprint/homebutton. but when i reflashed any other aosp based rom everything was fine.

hidden ssid wifi doesnt connect. i want to use it because whenever i flash stock rom or any other modified stock my baseband fingerprint and imei number are not available.

i have hidden wifi ssd and it connects fine ... u have to manually change the the wifi properties from advanced section to 'hidden' while connecting.
