Ya if your z play is dual sim version than u can use 2 sim+ SD card

Exactly, if you own dual sim version you can use two sim cards + sdcard. I rooted my dual sim device(europe) with the guide from lichking21st here on xda.
Just make sure you first only boot into the recovery and make a nandroid backup, which you keep somewhere safe.

I have a stock rom GS3, rooted and unlocked. I bought a dual sim adapter but I can't get it to work. The first issue is that when I hook it all up, it says that there is no sim card. Secondly, I can't access the sim toolkit which should allow me to switch between sim cards. What do I do?

I'm in the same boat. My adapter works with sim cards inserted in each adapter one at a time (listed as Sim1 and Sim2), but when both are in, I don't see the sim toolkit? I'm on i9300, temasek v38, boeffla kernal beta 11.
Has anyone been able to get bars/signal without a sim card ? I was trying to use my phone without a sim card and I was actually thinking about flashing the phone but it will not work without a sim card, Event thought its a CDMA phone ??
Anyone know a by pass or how to get this phone to work like a regular cdma phone ?

I have an HTC 816 single sim and it does not recognise my EE pay as go SIM card. The phone is an Asian version which is Sim unlocked.
I installed CM 12 and after the installation the SIM card stopped working. the card is working OK in my Apple iPad Air so it is not the sim that is at fault. Any ideas on how to get the slot to recognise the Sim Card.

Edit: Just changed to an 02 Sim and 816 working again.
last week i repleced a new sim card to my Asus ZenFONE 2 ze551ML , the device worked for A one day and than he stoped reading my sim card.
when i enterd in settings to Dual sim card settings it show's me that there is no sim eneted.
can somebody help me plzz.
The sim card works in another phone? Sim is not detected in both sim slots?

Try to re-plug SIM card and see.

yeah , I insert the sim card in another phones and that works .
and in my ZF 2 it wont work in both slots
maybe beacuse i change my carrier something want wrong with the modem/network?

what do you mean in re-plug the sin card.
Remove it and than try to insert again - if you mean that , so I do that many times , I even try to update the device in Google play app.

Hi guys, I own a lg g7 thinq - single sim. Is the hardware the same as g7 double sim or not?
Can I use the sd slot to insert the second sim? I dont want to use at the same time, I want to be able to switch at sim1 to sim2.
It's possible?
PS In my slot sim space for the sim2 is visible

Sorry but as far as I know the hardware is there but software locked. Also the second sim doesn't have IMEI

Exactly, if the limit is just software maybe there is a way to activate the second SIM reader... or not?
I remember that the mate 10 pro (single sim) was unlockable via software.
PS I dont need the second IMEI, because I dont want to use the sims in same moment
