I have a Galaxy tab S 10.5 and my UK sim card wont work in it because its saying it has no IMEI and the baseband is "unknown"
I brought this tablet second hand so dont know the full history of it.
Whilst trying to troubleshoot it through it has Lollipop 5.0.2 but the CSC was belonging to Italy (ITV). Before i played, the AP was T805XXU1BOJ1 and the CSC was T805ITV1BOG1
I have used Odin and tried flashing back over the top a UK version of the stock 5.0.2 firmware which was successfull but still the IMEI is null and Baseband unknown. The AP is still T805XXU1BOJ1 and now my CSC is T805BTU1BOI1
Is there anything else i can do please to try and get the IMEI and baseband back so i can use it for cellular as well as wifi?

my phone's charging chip got damaged so i got to the service centre, they said my motherboard have to be replaced so i got it replaced i got my phone back rooted like before but with 4.1.1 so i updated it to 4.4.2 n flashed jellykat rom but soon after that i got no service error sim is getting recognised but a message pops up that selected network (any network tried different sims ) not available
again i went to service centre he took the phone for one day n after that i got network back but soon after i flashed another rom (clean installation) the problem came back again
i browsed and got a temporary solution of flashing mj9 patched modem but due to this modem my wifi signals have become terrible not even able to send a whatsapp message
any help will be appreciated plz tell me any alternate solution n cn u suggest that flashing stock rom would be off any benefit

Which country are you from? I mean which csc is your device ?
What is your baseband now and is your imei correct or not ?

Best thing to do is to install stock latest 4.4.2 INU firmware via Odin.

I'm worried because I may have broken the phone's cellular capabilities.
I've flashed a couple of roms with CMW 6.0.4.6 installed (including SparkDroid, Tecno).
After flashing a CSC file using Odin I managed to get some CSC-codes back (they were blanc at first):

CSC Country: UK & IRE

Network: unknown

I don't know much about this, so I'm hoping some capable visitors will come by and help me out.
The phone was bought Belgium.
I know the explenation must be simple, but I don't know where to begin.
It's an old thread, but I have the same problem. It shows no signal, but I can receive texts and calls. When I try to call someone it says I'm in airplane mode. I had to revert to the original rom from sammobile (Netherlands VDP).
I think it has something to do with the baseband. Is it easy to change the baseband of custom roms?

It worked and made calls but
It was on 4.4.2 and always hangs and restarts by itself..
So I played more and more in all available options roughly ?
So
I downgraded to 4.1.1 stock via odin but the surprise no imei and baseband unknown ?
My questions are:
1 how to know the original stock between those ?? And if the difference make this hang ??

Also when connected to computer detected as alcatel cdma phone if I dont modified it from *#0808# menu to pda in all roms stock and custom.

Before flashing anything, does the imei match the label under the battery?
Often, the imei will not appear because the modem and bootloader are not compatible with the ROM.
How did you downgrade to 4.1.1? A stock 4.1.1 ROM from sammobile.com includes the bootloader and modem to ensure that the imei does not disappear.
I have problem with my att note 4.When I dial *#06# the IMEI is /01 and SN is unknown and phone can't register on network. Phone software is MM 6.01 baseband eph5.Can I somehow solve this please?I am in Europe and here in Samsung service they can't help me.

I am curious to know which baseband version I require for the LineageOS 16. I tried flashing stock firmware for the phone from Samfrew with Odin but it seemed to leave my phones in a boot loop so I was not able to test if the SIM worked on stock firmware. I was able to update the baseband this way though and restore to a bootable version of LineageOS. I was going for the baseband version for my carrier, Bell.
I know that there was an update in Android 8.1 for baseband but the post I saw was for a SM-G900F so I'm not sure if baseband version would work.
Can anyone help point me to a site that has a baseband I need, or other advice? I know this has been asked before. Thank you.
Edit. The sim card does register in the sense that I can check my number. But it doesn't receive or send SMS and it says "No Sim". The IMEI shows up where it should but when I tap it it brings up a menu that says it is unknown.
You really should try to find a stock ROM that boots on your device.
