7.0 is bugged. Do a clean install of 7.1
is it necessary to do a clean install from android 7.0 to 7.1.1 stock?

Hi all!
Maybe it's a silly question or it has been answered somewhere else.
I upgraded my phone to Android 8.0 and I'm experiencing the same issues a lot of other users mentioned (zero RAM available, random app reboots, 10 seconds to open an app, and random reboots).
I was thinking to install Lineage OS but I don't know if it's possible, considering that it's based on Android Nougat and with Oreo I guess the radio, bootloader and other stuff have been upgraded too.
Is it safe to do? Can I downgrade it to Nougat or Lineage?
Thanks a lot!
Nico
I tried it a few days ago... Didn't work
First I had to install stock Nougat then install LOS

None... Just download the Stock ROM from here: https://developers.google.com/android/ota
and install using the instructions provided
then install the LOS :good:
I think the factory image would be more appropriate. Full, clean flash.
Btw, if you're experiencing issues with 8.0.0, just perform a clean install of the Oreo factory image(or at the very least a factory reset after the update).
Hi Guys im new here, i have nexus 5x rooted, and i've been looking to make navigation buttons like Pixel ( Animation ), is there any version that works in lastest updates in Android Oreo, all i can find is compatiable only for 7.1.1 and 7.1.2.
I am not sure of working flashable zips. But, Pixel2Rom v1.0oc by argraur has the Pixel Navigation buttons (with animation).

Hi everyone !
I'm using a Nexus 5X 32GB with Stock Rom and Stock Kernel on Android 8.1.0. with the last security update.
I want to have a better battery life, I've search on Google and I found that the FrancoKernel seems to do an amazing job with 5.5 to 7 hours SOT.
But there's a lot of versions of the Kernel for Android O and I don't know which one I can to install to have the best results (the last r56 or an older version ?)
Thanks in advance :good:

Hi,
is there, or does anyone know a customrom for the nexus 5x based on android 8.1 or 9 which works with the "android auto" app?
Thank you!
Ciao,
Today I have a N5X running with Stock firmware (october patch)
Unfortunately Android Auto is not running well on my SYNC3 Infotainment system
I tried ABC rom ( a very well ROM light and smoothly) but ... no success
I would like ask if there is any direct experience of success
It is not very important if the ROM is Nougat or Oreo or Pie ...
The important thing is the proven functionality of Android Auto and ... a small drainage of battery
Thanks a lot
Paolo
So i recently re-installed Lineage OS on my old nexus 5 and i was wondering, how can i install Xposed on to it, with framework and app and all that? With the search results online i am not getting really far, i don't quite know what version to install , how to do it etc....
Note: i need Xposed specifically to install multiple custom watchfaces on a huawei watch GT2.
I tried installing a version, but it just reseted my phone, and when i check the Rooted sate of the phone i get "not rooted" or something like that.
I installed LineageOS via TWRP on the phone.
Can you guys help me out here? i did not root or install custom FW on a phone in a loong time and i am out of the loop of recent hacks and stuff.
Thanks in advance

Main point for xposed: what Android version? For xposed I recommend nougat. LinageOS 14.1 is still getting security patches.
