Badge Notification - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I was previously using iPhone 4S and then switched to Nexus 6 in January 15 and now to OnePlus 3. One of the thing that I miss about iOS is the badge notification. I tried Nova Launcher Prime + Tesla Unread Plug-in and also various other pro launcher but none matches the accuracy and efficiency of iOS. This system is baked in Touchwiz and many other manufacturer released ROM's.
Is there any way to get it on OnePlus ??

I've been using Nova Prime + Tesla Unread from a year or so. It works flawlessly. What issues did you have with it?

I don't recall any red bubbles on my sensation so it must be a sense 4+ thing. Anyway, that's probably part of the sense framework. However I can't tell if you're referencing the little popup with that happens when you get a text, if so that can be enabled via the messaging app's settings.
Nova launcher. Install its Tesla coil add on that provides the bubble notifications.

If tried it with my Apex Pro version, but there is only the phone, sms and gmail app working.
Does with Nova also the native E-Mail app works?
R: HTC like notification?
Yes, you can have bubble with number on any app. You have to buy Prime version of Nova and Missedit app

Thanks guys! With Nova Prime it works!

[APP] Launcher3 w/ Working Landscape

This is a build of Launcher3 from AOSP corrected to properly display icons and folders in Landscape. "Properly" is a bit of a misnomer. I fixed it by reducing the size of icons for Flo. I think the correct fix is deeper than that, but haven't found that yet. Anyway, it doesn't cut icons off and works pretty well.
Things to know:
- This is the 4.4 Launcher, but it is not the GEL. There is no Google Now integration at all. (and the long-press Settings icon does nothing)
- The Quick Search Bar will not display after you switch to Landscape. Pressing Home while in Landscape makes it pop up.
UPDATE: The apk linked below is more current than the one attached. It's built with no minSdk restriction and should work on 4.2 or above. (It definitely needs 4.2)
http://www.mediafire.com/?4roil3438gbz6qk
Forgot to mention that this is built for minSdkVersion=19 (4.4) because that is what it's set to in AOSP. I don't actually know if that affects installing from an APK, but I can probably build it for 18 if anyone wants. That should work since it does for the GEL. (I know it needs 16 at least from things I noticed playing around in it)

There's a link to an APK with no version limitation in the OP. I've been told it doesn't install on CM 10.2, but I was able to install (but not run) it on my ICS phone. (I have no devices with JB installed currently.) And again, it does absolutely need 4.2.
I get there was a problem parsing the file with this.

Sorry. Not sure what was wrong with that apk. Updated the link with one which I'm 99% sure will work, and including it below. I tested this one on my Stock 4.3 N7 and it does work. (No transparency) There's no reason it shouldn't on 4.4. It's technically modded a bit, but that's all mostly broken and disabled in this build. I'll be releasing that soon.

Yes, But note this has None of the Google Now Integration.
I can also confirm that the medfiafire linked APK works fine on Stock 4.4.
Thank you very much dude!!! It was exactly what I was looking for after the 4.4 update on my nexus 7!
Nice one thanks
Installed on cm10.2
Google released the launcher earlier today. It has full Now integration and all the bugs seem to be gone. Works beautifully on my N7 and S3.

That happens to me on my S3. It usually fixes itself after a minute or so. On my N7 it's perfectly fine. Are you using the latest versions that I posted above?

GEL Launcher for Moto G

EDIT: Google Now Launcher is official on Google Play! Unfortunately, you need GPE Moto G to get it. Otherwise you can simply download the .APK, it will still work on standard Moto G. According to XDA you need 4.4.2 to actually get it to work though, but maybe it does work on 4.3? I'm not sure. Here it is!

OLD
Hi everybody! This is the Google Experience Launcher from nexus devices and i found an APK that works with our Moto G.
I posted this because i read around the 4.4 ota threads and some people didn't like the regular stock launcher and they wanted the google experience launcher instead.
Well, here it is! :good:
Works on KitKat AND Jellybean! Though i'd use it on KitKat so the experience feels better :good:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...once-you-get-your-kitkat-update-apk-download/
Here is the link! All you need to do is to download it and then just install the APK! Works perfectly on the Moto G.
Also saying "Ok Google" works perfectly.
All credit goes to android police for the APK and Google for the launcher. :good:
An addendum to your post: It will also work on Android 4.3. I used it on my HTC One with CM 10.2 and CM 11 and my Moto G with stock 4.3 and 4.4 and it works perfectly on both versions.

Done
Thanks for uploading this! Interestingly, and sadly, I noticed the dialer doesn't include the KitKat "busines search" feature. This is something I would have used a lot, so I'm sad to see it not included. It's evidently a problem on the MotoX as well, so Motorola must be leaving the feature out of its KitKat builds for whatever reason.
GEL is great, I like how I get to choose how many home screens & choosing widgets/wallpaper the old school way. One thing I do miss is having the perm shortcut to the Google play store visible in the appdrawer

One thing however, how do you switch back to the original launcher if you want to. Short of uninstalling GEL

You have to go into settings>applications then find one of your home screen replacements, scroll down and "clear defaults"

If anyone is interested, the touchless control "hotword" feature does work. I can say "ok google" on home and speak a command. Under Google Settings > Voice, Language must be set as English (US) - English (UK) does not work. The 'Hotword detection' option should be available there.
I habe the problem that the icons are not really sharp when I use the Google experience launcher.
Has anyone the same problem or a solution?

From my understanding that's because it was made for nexus 5 with a bigger screen and better pixel density. Since our screens are smaller, it makes the icons larger and not as sharp.
Sent from my XT1034 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Anyway to keep the GEL and get the icons smaller and sharper? Kinda ruins it for me .. Although the main reason I wanted this was for the improved dialer.

Regarding icons:
Xposed module - Unicon - Icon packs for all launchers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEGy9UZ3I4Y
Confirmed working on Moto G running GEL. As mentioned in the video, only certain themes are compatible. Stark works fine and free theme Black.
There is an article on Forbes.com suggesting GEL will be officially available for all devices at some point in the future:
While the hack to apply GEL to your device is simple, the fact Google keeps updating it to work increasingly smoothly on an ever wider variety of devices indicates it will soon become an official option for all Android handset owners.
Should this happen it will be a key moment for the future of Android. It gives users who want the stock Android experience the option to have it without being forced to buy a Nexus or ‘Google Play Edition’ device yet it should not alienate manufacturers who can still sell their devices with their own skins as differentiators. In fact GEL may even see manufacturers up their game as many third party skins for Android are poorly coded and slow down the user experience. With an option to dump them for a stock Android experience at any moment this tardiness is unlikely to continue for long.

replacing razer Nova with Nova prime beta?

Anyone figured this out yet? Razer Nova says 5.4.8 is latest where as Nova beta is in 5.5.x and adds all the oreo features.. I've tried updating through play and razer Nova itself but they both say up to date with 5.4.8 while still showing 5.5.3 as current version.

Try backing up your current Nova backup, then disabling the factory (Razer) installed version.
See if you can download the latest version from Nova's website or XDA Labs or www.apkmirror.com.
EDIT: Thought the factory installed version of Nova could be disabled,my mistake...........

Yeah that's the problem I'm finding as well. I just want the oreo features, I'm a nova Prime user so got used to certain layout on my old 6p. Hope they make this updatable
I was happy to hear they are using Nova as the default launcher....but I also wondered about updates from the play store...or maybe from Nova directly? I would not be happy if we had to wait on Razer to push an update to the Launcher.
think this is a change that's gonna have to be implemented by razor or root access

Prime always shows an icon after installing an disappear after you open it. The new version from the play store has replaced the stock version.
thanks for letting me know it just looked odd
