Bluetooth Connectivity (Keyboard, Mouse, etc) with the Nougat Beta Update working? - Nextbit Robin

Hello.
I have a Nextbit Robin and have never been able to get the bluetooth functionality working with wireless headphones, keyboards, bluetooth speakers, mice). Does anyone with the new Beta Nougat update know if this functionality is working now? Or if anyone has the update, can you give it a try and let us know? Thank you so much for any help.
Cheers.

Self Update on Nougat...Just installed Nougat 7.0 and I can confirm bluetooth mouse functionality is working PERFECTLY!!! (tried a microsoft Wedge and a logitech mini). Don't have a Keyboard or Bluetooth headphones/speakers but will update when I get back from my trip. If anyone has any updates, please post. Good stuff!!

Self update2: Moga bluetooth controller works perfect with Robin/Nougat after not having worked on the last build. Tranlation: Super Mario World, Contra and Zelda while sitting on a subway to the Bronx. Good times. Well done....As an aside, Netflix app no longer downloads offline.

I used a Logitech V70 following the instructions on the site and it worked as advertised. I've also paired it with my Logitech diNovo Mini although not at the same time.
edit: Actually I installed the cab, turned on the radio, initiated a device search, then I turned on the V70 and pressed the connect button on the bottom. No password was required, I just clicked Next as soon as the mouse was recognized. I think this is a little bit different than the order specified on the website.
i'm encountering two main problems.
1) the Teksoft software is not recognising the bluetooth is on. I'm using the radio rom that comes with dutty's v1.7.
2) after I pair the mouse (with a blank password) it remains in discovery mode.
Just a bit of extra information i'm using the ig keyboard and have the igo software installed not sure if that could be causing problems. Also having read other forums the mouse i was trying to use was the microsoft 5000 and one of the guys had this working perfectly which leads me to believe its my phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Bluetooth stack on HTC HD2
Hi All,
I just got th HTC HD2 and I also run into difficulties connecting a bluetooth mouse. Looks like the problem lies in the Bluetooth stack.
I'm using a iGo/Thinkoutside stowaway bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The software (latest version from 2007) does not recognise that Bluetooth is on.
The keyboard is recognised as a standard HID device and works without any additional software.
I tried the Teksoftco Blueinput software and got the same problem that the software does not recognise that Bluetooth is on. Probably it only works with the MS bluetooth stack and not the one on HTC HD2 (TP2, HD, ...?).
I can connect to a bluetooth mouse but the HD2 can't find any services to use.
Anyway, If anybode has a solution please post but my hopes are verly low... :-(
Maybe a wired mouse via USB host on the car cradle will work...

Did you have any luck registering, I'm running into the same thing?
No drivers on the cd.
The software doesn't work on my Touch HD
I tried the V 1.5RC4 but it always displays: "The BlueInput driver is not responding. You need to reinstall this software."
Is it possibly, that I have a altered bluetooth stack with my ROM (Energy)?
Would appreciate any help to get this to work!

I had exactly the same problem in my Touch HD with Energy ROM and found the solution. Our problem is because the bluetooth HID libraries are missing in the Energy ROM. Thus, first, you need to restore them by using TRV_Bth_HID.cab attached. Restart. Then, you need to pair your mouse and to ensure, that the service "input device" has appeared and marked in the bluetooth manager. Restart with the turned on bluetooth and the mouse connected. Only after these steps, you can install V1.5RC4. Note, that V1.5RC4 overwrites the library \Windows\bthhid.dll, which was in TRV_Bth_HID.cab. As a result, after V1.5RC4 installation, your mouse will be seen as "disconnected" in the bluetooth manager - this is normal. But, if you need to install new device, you will have to repeat all steps above.

[Q] Bluetooth HID: inverted/ laggy mouse

Hi,
I updated to 2.2 and it rocks. But i have problems using the Bluetooth HID.
The keyboard just works perfect, but the mouse bugs. The mouse is extrem over- sensible and if you go landscape the mouse-axis aren't inverted. Same effect using an RDP- client.
Suggestions how this problem can be fixed? (A mouse in an RDP- session would be so nice)
(Tested on Samsung Galxy S- it works perfect).
Greetings, Jo
Hi Jo,
I am interested in getting a bluetooth mouse working on my Defy (running CM7 on a recent nightly). I'd be very interested in your experience with getting a BT Mouse running as I also want to be able to run RDP and VNC Remote connections.
I have a Hama Bluetooth m2140 mouse. It works fine on my laptop and I have had it running on a couple of Android Tablets.
Am able to pair and connect the mouse. The first time I try, I even see a small mouse pointer appear on the screen, but it freezes after only a second. Very frustrating- so close and yet so far...
Has anyone had any success here? I would be grateful if someone could give me some tips on enabling debugging or on what logs I could check for errors.
Best Regards, Richard

[Q] Bluetooth compatability

I'm thinking of upgrading to this phone, one of the main reasons is that my current device, which has galaxy S guts, is not compatible with most bluetooth devices. I like to use an app called blueputdroid that turns my phone into a universal keyboard as well as an ELM bluetooth device that turns my phone into a dyno along with the torque app for my car.
For some reason the way samsung built the bluetooth makes it not work with a lot of these things, I know it's not the apps or 3rd party devices as I use my old G1 now for it, but would much rather just have my main phone be my one device.
Have any of you tested blueputdroid or any bluetooth devices? If not could someone try out blueputdroid with this phone (it's free in the market) any help would be much appreciated thanx!!
Says it has detected unsupported Bluetooth stack.. Install cyanogen Rom, etc.
Thanks, at least this phone is likely to get cyanogenmod support which will fix the problem my SK sure as hell won't
My GS2 works perfect with my ELM adapter. It worked perfect with my Vibrant too. I've never had a single problem with any bluetooth device on either of them.
I've had a lot of bluetooth problems with both my vibrant and now my GS2. Both work reliably with my wife's mini cooper bluetooth but they both have had problems connecting to the garmin nuvi I use for handsfree in my car (and forget about the A2DP on it).
I tried a lot of roms on my vibrant (incl stock) and they did lots of cool stuff but never made the BT connect reliably. Then I came across this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795691
I made the suggested change to /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf and voila! I finally have good BT with my vibrant.
So I got my SG2 last week, rooted it and found that it also had the bad settings in /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf. However it also lacked BLN (backlight notification) and few other tweaks I've come to love on my vibrant so I flashed juggernaut 2.6. That fixed all the major foibles with the SG2 but it still won't reliably connect to my garmin.
I opened up the filesystem to find that /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf is no longer there! Does anyone know where it went?
Apparently I don't have enough posts to ask in the dev forum where juggernaut was posted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322642 so I'm hoping someone will see this plee for help.
thanks
the phone has BT 3.0, but it is backward compatible with BT 2.0 and 1.0 devices
i haven't had any trouble using it with my car deck (streaming audio & phone), my large collection of stereo BT devices, and other BT enabled phones & PCs/Laptops
the remote control feature from the stereo headsets works properly, for fast forward, backward, play, pause, talk, mute, etc
the only thing i have yet need to test BT on is with a BT smart wrist watch

Wiimote connection in SM-T800

Did anyone tried to sucessufuly connect a wiimote to our SM-T800?
From what i've read, its known fact that since 4.2 and the change of the bluetooth stack, the connection between wiimotes and android devices was lost. But since our device is more recent than that, the oldest firware we had was already the 4.4.2 Kit Kat, so it was never suported from the beginning.
I've tried several firmwares, from 4.4 to 6, from the stock version to CM12 or AOSP, and specialized software like Bluez IME, Wiimote Controller or BT USB Joystick Center, and never had luck with pairing (I can pair in CM12 with Bluez IME, but the wiimote just blinks, and no software recognize the controller, so it's pretty much useless).
Obviously this is not a serious problem that affects a community, so i guess that there will never be a dev working for a fix, but if anyone was more sucesseful than me, i would love to know what was his solution. And no, "using a different controller", is not a good answer!
Thanks!

Trouble with connecting a bluetooth mouse with a Nextbit Robin. Any tips/suggestions?

Evening, everyone. I just picked up a Nextbit Robin and one of the main features I use is a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Wedge and ArcMouse) with Android phones. I've used this setup with HTC one and then an M8 which has worked great. Decided to switch to a Robin and not having any luck getting the bluetooth mouse to work. I got through the process and it says "connected" but the mouse arrow isn't showing up on the Robin. This would be a big blow if I couldn't get it to work. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
That's really interesting. I'll ask around the office if they have a bluetooth mouse that I can test this out.
EDIT: Tried with a BT keyboard and although I was able to pair it, I couldn't type when the onscreen keyboard popped up. Filing this with our team.

Bluetooth in general
Update: I actually can't get any bluetooth devices to play along with my Nextbit Robin. I can get all of my devices paired where it pairs then says "Connected" but nothing works. I recently also tried three bluetooth speakers (jawbone, cheap amazon thing, logitech). All of them pair really fast and then connect and show "Connected"...Have any of you been able to get any of your bluetooth devices to connect and to work with the Nextbit? Any possible solutions? Any hep would be appreciated.
