Tried straight up installing it and it seemed like it was going to work on Lenovo miix.
I would be willing to pay some cash (legit money) if anyone could get it working reliably.

I really thought there were some smart fellas around here...
I recently upgraded the battery to a 3800 mah battery. I understand that the battery does not have an imbedded nfc antenna. Will this effect the function of the google wallet app?
Thanks for your help.
Yes I believe so, need NFC to use wallet tap to pay I'm pretty sure.
I think some company does make NFC capable big ol batteries like the one you got tho.
The NFC chip is located within the battery. Without that nfc will not function.
I haven't used Gwallet for a while though so I do not know if anything has changed in regards to how it operates. I know when I used it it NEED NFC to work. Don't know if that changed

Google has blocked the galaxy nexus from using wallet. People have been searching for a work around although none have been found yet.
I suspect the only way we may ever regain functionality is through the 3.4 kernel. It's still got a long way to go. The Devs involved in the porting process have hit a hiccup in getting the display working.

I was wondering about this. I'm on a 4.4 Rom, but Wallet still says tap and pay is "not available". So that's a known issue?
Updated my phone to lollipop on my nexus 5 btw I have fell in love with it and there no going back. But the damn notifications don't work on the moto 360 after this update If I cannot find a solution it will be going back to the store for a refund sad because I got the moto 360 for 125$ with a 50$ play redeem code.I do like the watch but it isn't to smart if it doesn't work correctly .If anyone has a solution reply down below thanks
Have you reset watch and then reconnected it? Also make sure you have the updated version of Android wear.
That's how I fixed the connection between my N5 and Moto 360 after upgrading.
Wait for the new wear OS lollipop version for the watch coming out this week

What are the chances of getting an Android TV ROM put on the FireTV? Is the partial bootloader unlock that's out there enough to do this?
I'm curious what would happen if the Android TV Launcher was sideloaded on the FireTV? I doubt it would be that easy, but I know it's been possible to get Google Play Store working and linked to your account and the ability to show all apps.
Maybe someone with a little more knowledge can expand on this and what else would have to be packaged together for the TV Launcher to work properly.

My guess is it won't work because it requires lollipop stuff. I am currently working on a lollipop build. I have some time off work so maybe I'll be able to make some progress on it.

Give it a few weeks, I'm sure the AFTV will be updated to Kitkat at least.

I highly doubt that. The kernel that Amazon is using does not have a kitkat branch. Plus they really have no reason to do that.

This is awesome!
I'd love to know how successful we expect this to be? Not trying to push or anything, of course, but I'm very curious if we have audio and video acceleration working yet? Having seen this I think I'll pick up another Fire TV, but not sure where best to buy, to have best chance of rooting it? Staples or Amazon?
I've currently got an Amazon Fire TV with your kernel boot menu installed, and would be happy to play about with some CM12 builds if it is helpful to have another users perspective. If the network does not work I have an Android compatible USB ethernet adaptor, and also wifi adaptor.
Thanks!!

Amazon has been the best place to get rootable FTV's. Staples & BB are still sending a high number of rootable FTV's as long as folks follow AFTVNews.com guides on how to Root them without updating them.

He will probably still be making them. It just happens that the latest FW update isn't much of an update Features wise. So no rush for an update. Plus Amazon is getting trickier with the FW too. So patience is a virtue..

oh im patient i just wanted to know if he was stopping the prerooted ones or not. i wasnt asking for an eta or anything. i just know some devs stop one project when they move onto another
As for CM12, it is very far from something flashable. All I have right now is the boot animation and the "updating packages" dialog. Currently my main problem is that none of the required services are starting, so I have to start them manually. Even doing that, I think I'm not starting everything that is required because as it starts loading up things, it dies because storage isn't set up properly, and bypassing that it kinda just hangs starting some android services. I'll have to enable some debug in init tomorrow to see what's going on with that.
As for prerooted, I'll still be making those. To be honest, CM12 is just a fun experiment for me. I probably won't be using it much because I watch a lot of Amazon Prime, and Android TV currently doesn't support it. I didn't really hear anyone saying anything earth shattering is contained in the newest update, and I really need to spend some extra time on it to figure out what's wrong with SuperSU, so that's why I haven't released a new one yet.

That's awesome. If you can pull off CyanogenMod, it'll be epic! I know it's super early in the process, but forgive me, you got me all giddy and I couldn't hold back.

Thanks for the info - I did not realize it was still so likely to be rootable, so was unsure on buying a second.
Happy to say, I picked one up just now from Staples for $71.18 after tax in Duluth, GA. Rootable. Got that price by using a 15% off coupon, which was on their own website: http://www.staples.com/coupons
Great price, and rootable device!

So I've gotten A LOT farther than I expected. I thought the kernel would have been a much bigger issue than it turned out to be. Anyway, right now I can get to the stock launcher and it looks like SystemUI is doing a crazy crash loop, so eventually the thing just dies. I'm going to try to get the Android TV launcher worker though. Then deal with SystemUI.
EDIT: Well I got the Android TV launcher starting... not sure what's supposed to happen with it though...
Is there any developer that tries to port android wear 2.0 to this smartwatch?
I Will be so Glad if somebody tries that...
I've had recently the chance to try the latest AW 2.0 beta on a LG Urbane 2nd Ed. LTE. From what I've observed there, Android Pay refuses to function if it detects a custom rom, or in general any rom which has not been digitally signed by Google. That makes, at least for me, any unofficial port of AW 2.0 to the SW3 moot.

I wouldn't even want to pay with my gadgets and where I live, it's not wide spread anyway. I would still like to have aw2 posted though. Different people, different opinions
Dont think its possible. AW is not open source and we still need drivers and stuff. Correct me if im wrong ( based on facts).

The Play Store would suffice, considering that I'm using an iPhone with it.
I think that is posible.
Developers did It with gear 2, that isnt wear.
If they can do It with gear 2, we can do It with sw3

Yes it's possible and yes I will try it. But I am sure SafetyNet things won't work as the ROM definitely won't pass CTS but that's only ****in Android Pay which doesn't work then
Sources are there (thanks AsteroidOS and protodevanov) and we can use the same steps like compile ROM for a phone as the SW3 is nothing else than a Device with an SoC like a phone have.
We maybe just need to extract some blobs from latest FW (1.5.2) and it could be theoretically possible that security patches are backstabbed to November or August but that's not a problem as December patch was more a SafetyNet patch than something else (so it's more a patch to **** you flashaholics).
But honestly who wants to hack your watch
So all in all its possible, maybe we can compile the Preview in time only but better than nothing
Your PDesire
sounds good that you'retrying to make a 2.0 rom for our watch!
according to the petition on change.org ( https://www.change.org/p/sony-android-wear-2-on-sony-smartwatch-3) there might be some people using your rom if you're really able to make one
Android pay in the watch won't work, but will if affect using NFC on the phone if that watch is connected to it?

So I was just installing a sound mod for my Xperia Z2 and stumbled across this comment...
