Yes, here you are: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/2016-05-27-fastboot-flashing-firmware-t3387520

There is no RUU yet. It hasnt even been released for WWE yet. The link above is only firmware.

I have the unlocked US version of HTC 10 with Marshmellow and I successfully rooted it, installed the latest TWRP recovery, etc. Now OTA updates do not work - TWRP can't update OTA updates. Will RUU work better? I can't figure out which instructions to follow to flash my version of unlocked rooted S-OFF TWRP HTC 10 to Nougat 2.28.617... update. Could someone help, please?

RUU is stock. By put TWRP on your phone you broke OTA. A dumb system, one I assume is to do with security. Theres no reason we should be prevented from downloading updates, really, or installing them. Most people use a custom recovery for good reasons.

The only RUU for that firmware at the moment is for US devices, and its for Nougat, as mentioned above. From what I can tell (and have experienced) it can be installed on most HTC 10 phones with no ill consequences, however I would double check before you go ahead and do it. And you need to be S-OFF in order to change the MID to 2PS650000 and the CID to BS_US001 since the RUU will fail if it dectects any others. I installed the US RUU onto my UK HTC 10 and changed my settings back to what I had before (essentially WWE unlocked HTC__001 and 2PS620000) and it works perfectly fine.

[Q] Cant Unlock With Hboot 1.03.0000, Please help!

Hey Guys!
I wanted to put a custom rom on my wildfire s, kevinjoa's in my mind.
So i Started off by Reading the articles on how to unlock the WFS, to continue further.
I thought ill unlock by using the htc devs method, so i created an id there, etc etc, selected my device and then came across this
BEFORE beginning the Unlock Bootloader process your product requires that you update the ROM to the version listed in the table below first, then download the RUU next to it to enable the unlocking capability.
NOTE: If you do not find your ROM version in the table below, and your ROM version is newer, then your device does not require the RUU. Please bypass these steps and continue to the next page.

Now, as My Hboot Version is 1.03.0000 , which is not listed in the htcdevs unlocked bootloader page, and moreover im confused as to what to do here, there are some posts to downgrade from 1.03.0000 to 0.90.0000(i think) , so is there any way i can unlock my phone with hboot 1.03.0000? and i uploaded the pic of my Recovery! Please help me guys! what do u think should i do?
or do u think my ROM doesn't require an RUU update? can i bypass this step?
Thanks in Advance
Can anybody please help here

You require a higher HBOOT(a newer version), check if there is an OTA update..........or use an RUU
It's because the commands needed for unlocking aren't supported by older HBOOTs

Csoulr666, Thank you so much for replying!
I'll do that OTA update asap and post what happens!
And to use an ruu, how will i know which exact version to select while downloading?

For an RUU use a version that is higher and the closer to your country. For eg- If you bought your phone somewhere in Europe, use an EU version
You can always use the WWE(worldwide) version......But i'd recommend the EU one no matter where you are 'cause it is the most updated of all
csoulr666, bro i decided to go with either the europe WWE one, or Htc asia WWE one, cause the phone was brought from within asia.
another thing is , il download these RUU's from HTC Dev"s website itself right?
A little confused here
downloaded both Europe RUU which is around 6MB
Asia WWE RUU is like 25.5MB
downloaded from HTCdev.
How is it that when EU is Updated than the rest is smaller than that of the Asia'n RUU? :silly:

If you download via htcdev then use the Asia version....
And as for your question, size can vary according to how much of changes or additions are needed

If it is a true developer edition, you might try backing up, running one of the Developer Edition RUU's to get back to 100% stock, and then see if you can get the OTA update. If this was a conversion, make sure the CID/MID are correct (which requires S-off).

Then why did you state in the thread title and OP "stock"?
InsertCoin is a custom ROM and not stock. So you need to return to a stock ROM to install OTA.

1540 is US Dev Edition, and the OP has Euro DE. The RUU likely will not run with incorrect CID, MID. And not sure this is the stock baseline he would want to be on.

Don't know where you obtained that info, but its false. S-off is not needed to install any ROMs.
If the phone is a demo unit, you should have stated that right away in your top post. On a previous HTC device (One X) I believe the demo unit was very difficult, if not impossible to make fully functioning. But no idea if the same is true for the M8 demo unit you have.

Sounds like you just got some random advice, with an unknown link and flashed it. Why on earth would you do such a thing? Stick to XDA, at least here you can go by reputation (number of thanks, Recongnized Contibutor, or Recognized Dev titles).

As I just said in my last response, you do not need S-off to flash any ROMs. If you want help, you need to start actually paying attention to the help that is being given to you. You are also making it very hard to help you, by not giving enough info, and just leaking it out little by little.
You say you can't flash any other ROMs, but that isn't enough information. What happens when you try to flash? Does it fail with an error message? Or flash successful, but doesn't boot? What other ROMs have you tried?
If you want to return to stock to receive OTAs, you will need to find and flash the appropriate nandroid and stock recovery for our CID. Stock backup collection can be found sticky at the top of the General section. There are also various guides on how to return to stock, if you need them just search.

Need help updating phone... H3G User.

Im on the same version of Android since i got the phone, the bootloader is unlocked with S-ON and it has been working fine since i got it. I heard 5.1 had been released, is there a H3G RUU for the new version or can i use the Europeon one.. my CID Num is H3G__001.
Because i am rooted it says it cant check for updates, can anyone tell me what i can do?
I thought about restoring the original software RUU and then updating, but what if my service provider hasnt released the update, unless their is another H3G M9 user on the forum who can tell me different.
Thanks.

Your best bet is to S-OFF, then Super CID. After you have done that just restore the newest WWE RUU. That way you're on the latest version and can continue to receive any new updates a lot sooner - none of that waiting for the network to release the update. Especially with marshmallow round the corner.

Other than the way you stated not really. If you don't want to go S-OFF then you'll need to restore stock and update, then root again.
Hey there buddy.
What the chance you backed up your stock H3G recovery.
I flashed TWRP and forgot to take a backup, now can't flash the update.
I posted in this forum asking in anyone had the UK H3G stock recovery but no answers.

What was your version number before flashing the Euro firmware?
If you want Euro firmware, its probably best to run the 401 RUU (and "fully convert" to Euro), instead of trying to run AT&T software with Euro firmware.

You need to provide more info.
What RUU and where did you get it from?
What was the failure message in detail? Did any of the partitions install (if so, which ones? and on what partition did it fail?)? Or did it abort before any installation?
What does "phone died" mean? Did it go dark right after you tried to RUU? Did it simply run out of battery? Did you try charging it? Does the screen come on at all if you hold the power button for 30 seconds or more?

I have no way of helping you with this, if you can't remember the reason it failed.
The link refers back to XDA, so it may be okay, but I really have no way of knowing if it really is or not.
The same RUU from reputable source is posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376
Try running the RUU again, and note or do a screenshot of the error message(s).

That is not the right version number for the AT&T version. Please clarify or correct it.
What you have now is a weird mix of hacked firmwares, custom ROM, etc.
So again, I think its best to do the official RUU to WWE (Euro) 401 "clean" fully stock baseline including all stock firmware, ROM, etc. Then see if that improves your signal problem, or troubleshoot from there.

You can flash Nougat RUU but you need flash FULL stock signed Nougat firmware for your CID before (all data will be deleted). Then you can flash Nougat RUU for your CID using the SD card method.

It seems like HTC changed its encryption keys between firmware 3.x and 4.x. Therefore, you cant flash 4.x RUUs if your phone is currently using a 3.x firmware. You either need to flash a NoWipe/Full-Wipe Firmware Pack beforehand (only possible with S-OFF) or you need to use a 3.x RUU for the same SKU and install the 4.x OTA, afterwards.
Already installed the 3.38.502.41(the prerequisite to get the nougat OTA) but i cant get the OTA, my phone its the at&t m9 but carrier unlocked and s-on

I'm still waiting for the OTA update to come, asked about this in the readme thread and one of the mods told me that i don't need an at&t service to get the update, just wait.
Ps: you can't update using the Ruu because of the new encryption, have to use the OTA.

I made a further research and it looks like I was wrong. AT&T actually seems to request users to have one of their sim cards inserted if you want their OTAs. Sorry for the bad news. This was the first time that I read about that. (And I thought European carriers would be an annoyance...)
Theoretically, you should be able to install the OTA manually if someone uploads it somewhere or posts HTC's download link. However, it looks like no one uploaded the file or published the official link, yet.

Dont worry about it man, thanks for trying to help! I'll just wait 1-2 weeks and get a go phone sim card from amazon, its just like 2-5 bucks anyways.
Does anyone have OTA backup?
Please could someone upload OTA update? (3.38.502.41 to 4.27.502.7)

Hi! So did it work for you? You received this OTA with att sim card?
Hi guys.
I'm having the same error (132) signature error.
My device:
UNLOCKED
htc_himaulatt PVT S-OFF
CID: 11111111
LK-1.0.0.0000
RADIO-01.01_U11440792_97.00.51203G_F
OpnDSP-15.6.1.00522.8994_1026
os-3.35.617.31
NO OTA Updates.
Now running 3.35.617.31 trying to update with RUU_HIMA_UL_N70_SENSE80_ATT_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_4.14.617.6.exe or any other 4.XX.XXX.X
RUU_HIMA_UL_M60_SENSE70_ATT_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_3.35.617.31.exe was applied with no problem but when trying to apply the 4.14.617.6 error (132) shows.
I have downloaded all updates and try to apply:
4.14.617.6
4.23.617.1
4.30.617.2
4.30.617.12
None of the RUUs works, shows error (132)
All RUUs was downloaded from htc / us / support / rom-downloads
Can someone give me some hints on how solve this issue???
Thanks in advance.

What is your M.I.D number?
S-OFF users should be aware that the phone's CID and MID need to correspond to the SKU of the RUU you want to flash. The SCID (11111111) won't make your phone ignore mismatches between those ID numbers as it did on older HTC devices

Thanks Pfaffinator.
Actually I was able to solve the issue changing the CID to BS_US001 and then applying the OTA update using stock recovery, after that I was able to use the latest RUU.exe with latest HTC SW release.
Thanks for your kind support!!!

The MID is irrelevant in this situation. As already explained in this thread (c.f. the first page) and my ReadMe thread you can't flash 4.x RUUs while your phone is using firmware 3.x or lower. The encryption keys got changed.
And the SCID not only "lost" the ability to make the phone ignore MID mismatches it additionally prevents the M9 from being able to receive OTAs.
A general request to everyone who needs help with his/her M9: Please read the ReadMe thread. There's a reason why it's pinned above the normal threads in the General and the Q&A section. 99% of all questions are already answered there. Reading the first two pages of that thread takes less time than creating a new thread and waiting for someone to respond.

That paragraph is from your thread.
Yeah, I know. Nonetheless, the MID isn't the problem in this case. It's the SCID preventing the OTA download (as explained in the OTA section of the ReadMe thread) and the encryption keys of the RUUs being different between firmware 3.x and 4.x (resulting in error 132 as described on page 1 in this thread, the RUU and the RUU error section in the ReadMe thread).
