Hallo devs, i am trying to boost speaker volume (and telephone ring) of my mi 5s.
i have tried to modify mixer path file in System\etc accordingly to the mi5 thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/how-to/how-to-increase-speakers-volume-mi5-t3400372).
It doesn't work for me.
Can someone help me?

For those who want to increase headphone volume and speaker volume without distortion to the max beyond device max volume flash this file in recovery (disable zip signing check in recovery) and enjoy !!!
You will have to flash this file with every rom update till this mode included in rom by default
Done as always by using Alsamixer app and knowning the current max volume and maximum volume that could be reached then editing manually by Es file explorer
Please if you like it ask the developer to include it permanently in the rom

2- use es file explorer in root mode
3- place the file (unzipped) to system/etc/sound and overwrite the file with same name and set permissions to rw-r-r root root and reboot device and enjoy !!!

Be careful: the property "Speaker Boost Volume" was already in there I've added it long time ago (line 42) with a comment, plus see property "AIF1DAC1 3D Stereo Volume" at line 101. I have lowered those values after the users reported distorted audio (search in omnirom 4.4.4 thread around a year ago, maybe less)

The increase in speaker volume is tiny from 60 to 63
The increase in headphone volume is big from 50 to 63 (as reported by Alsamixer app) and i confirm no crackling sound especially in headphones even if pumped to full volume (63) (you need a decent pair of headphones of course as Beats or Skullcandy etc)
Hello all. I've a question: someone knows what are the value that I need to modify to increase audio volume in the mixer_paths file ? I boosted audio with elementalx kernel but now I want to go back to stock kernel.
I founded the value of the speaker but not the one of the headphones.

Hi guys, I've been over this for several hours, but haven't figured it out yet. I'm trying to get better in-call volume and have modified the base media paths file in several different places without effect. Does the Zuk reference one of the other 5 media path files instead of the base one? If so, which one and out of that, which setting?

Hi im. Using whyred i notice that the earpiece volume. Is low while making call i want to boost the volumee of earpiece please help me..
download es file explorer ,enable root , go to Device />vendor>etc>mixer_paths , serch for path name"headset" go to rx1 digital line and change 83 to a higher value i make it 90

I've made a custom profile for our Redmi K20 for its speaker. Since I am a music producer / sound engineer, I tweaked the speaker sound by my ear. You may notice a slight improvement in high-ends and low-ends.
To install it: just copy the xml file on root/Viper4Android/presets/mi9t (if you do not have the folder, create it)
Test it and let me know your opinion.
Not tested on K20 Pro!
after put it in preset folder how to activate it in the app?
nvm i test it and my configuration is better than that.

What did you change? I don't see any difference except that phone speaker optimization was turned off. Otherwise it's just viper clarity on default everywhere possible for me.
